Our Island Avenue home is newly renovated, its located on Matlacha (mat-la-chay). The Island is home to the historic fishing village and artist community. Paradise awaits you from the "world's fishingest bridge" which is within walking distance of our home along with excellent restaurants, unique shops and art galleries. Matlacha resembles the old style Key West.
Our 2 Bedroom home offers a queen size bed and two twins, as well as a pull-out. The spacious open floor plan allows you to enjoy the large screened lanai, boat lift, outdoor furnishings, grill and large tropical heated swimming pool. Good company and breath taking views await you in Matlacha.
Our Three Bedroom home located six doors down on Island Ave is also avaialbe for lease.
Looking to go shelling or ride the waves at the beach? Fort Myers and Sanibell beaches are only 25 miles away.
Looking to Golf? Royal Tee Golf Course is within five minutes or choose one of the 55 courses within Lee County.
Fishing in Matlacha is spectacular. Bring your boat, or you can hire a captains that will pick you up from our dock!
Matlacha is 30 minutes from Ft. Myers International Airport (RSW) 10 minutes from Cape Coral and 25 minutes from Ft Myers.

We have had an excellent vacation in a property that met all of our expectations. Wonderfull outlook with a magical sunset every evening. The home was clean, well equiped and as described on the website. Matlacha is the last vestage of old florida, friendly (be ready to greet everyone you pass on the street), with quaint shops and welcoming eateries specialising in fish. The fishing off the dock was awsome - caught well over 100 fish in the 2 weeks we were here which included feeding us with 6 good dinners of spotted sea trout. I would recomend this home to anyone seeking comfort and relaxation in a non-typical, different and quirky florida location.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+.

Great time had by all! Early mornings spent looking across the water at Little Pine Island with the calls of ospreys and watching the pelicans and other water fowl were truly relaxing and set us up for the rest of the day. We drove up to the Bokeelia fishing pier at the northern end of Pine Isand and watched 2 dolphins circle and trap a school of fish before darting in and eating, then repeat the process. The property was as advertised. I had a minor problem with the A/C setting (probably my fault), but Mac, the local contact came over and quickly got it corrected while we were out for dinner. All in all, a great time.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers.
So sad to leave paradise.

We had such a fantastic time at this house. It was a perfect location and had everything we needed there! What a great house!! We also loved the town. Everyone was so friendly... from the neighbors to the shop owners- we made a lot of friends. Great fishing. Loved the local flavors! From fresh from the tree mango juice to mullet dogs, there just isn't a better place than Matlacha! Will most definitely be back next year....counting down the days already.

What a great place! It was truly amazing just sitting in the back yard and watching all the wild life. Saw the Dolphins play everyday. It was quiet and relaxing. Loved the Pool and the screened in Lani. When we walked into the house, we felt right at home, it was nice and very clean. The town is within walking distance, with great little shops. This was a truly great place too stay. See you next year, for a longer time.....

As I drove from the airport, I was excited about by the paradise ahead of me. When I pulled into the driveway of this home my spirit felt awaken. The door opened and I felt home, It was clean, open and inviting! As I put on a cup of tea I went outside and sat by the pool and looked out at the bay and saw the most incredible dolphins playing out in front of me. The next day we called the boat Captain Brian who picked us up at the dock and we enjoyed catching fish all morning. He then pulled up to the house and cleaned all the fish. The outdoor grill cooked up our catch! The beds were so plush, I felt like I was staying at a Weston Resort! I love confort and this house was all of that... Oh I forgot that I walked down the street to the most incredible shops, I found this unique shoe shop and bought a few pairs!! Thanks so much for this great experience! I'll be back next year!!
