This luxury condo is beautifully decorated in rustic Colorado theme and has every amenity to make your vacation a delight; clean and wheelchair friendly. Starting again this season are DIRECT FLIGHTS from Houston and Dallas!
This spacious condominium has been completely renovated with hardwood floors and slate throughout as well as new furnishings. As a bonus, this unit also has a washer and dryer which is rare to the individual Chateaux Condominiums; most units use a common washer and dryer. The laundry room also has ski and ski boot hangers. This four bedroom unit has two queen beds with their own bathrooms, the third bedroom has twin bunk beds and a full size sleeper sofa and the fourth room has a bunk with a twin on top and queen on the bottom along with a trundle underneath and a full bathroom to share. This would be great for two families with kids that want to vacation together and save! Each bedroom has its own flatscreen TV with DVD built in to entertain the kids while making dinner. Chateaux offers our guests FREE in-condo wireless internet and cable is also on all TV’s.
We love the Adaptive Sports Program in Crested Butte! It is so unique to take care of all handicapped persons and their families!!!! Take it from us, this is very rare for such a program to cater to entire families, not just the person with challenges. Our condo is extremely wheelchair and family friendly!
This is a corner Chateaux unit with spectacular views of Mt. Crested Butte and its slopes. This is a first floor unit with a walk out balcony that is located directly across from the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. It is conveniently situated across the street from the slopes, with a free bus that stops just steps from the building’s front door to take you and your party to the slopes or down into the charming town of Crested Butte for fun shopping, fine dining or enjoying a movie. It’s within easy walking distance to several restaurants, shops and the convenience store (liquor/video/deli).
World-class skiing in the winter and spring. Right across the street from our unit is the ski area that has shops and restaraunts along with The Trailhead Children's Discovery Museum where you can take a break from skiing and watch your little ones have a ball! Crested Butte in the summer and fall is also amazing with lots to see and do. Enjoy visiting during the famous Wildflower or Arts and Crafts festival. Or enjoy the wonderful town park, a mile up the road, for youngsters to swing, slide, and dig while parents play a little tennis on the community courts. Multiple artists perform at the park in the wonderful town of Crested Butte in the spring and summer, just bring a picnic and a blanket! At this quaint little park, there’s a covered picnic area to eat or to sit back and soak in the stunning views of Snodgrass and Elk Mountains.
In addition to all the activities in, and around Crested Butte, one of our favorite things are the number of very good to excellent restaurants!
Some of our favorite restaurants in Crested Butte are Timberline, Brick Oven Pizza (dining in or delivery), Marchitelli’s Gourmet Noodle, Teocalli Tamale for something fast, Lobar for sushi and funky atmosphere, Maxwells for a great steak, Ginger Cafe for Asian food, but whatever you do, don’t miss Izzys for breakfast or lunch!! This is just naming a few and the list doesn’t even touch on the fun nightlife and martini bar!! All you have to do is stroll down Elk and take your pick!
The location of the condo is a given for snow skiing in the winter, but don’t forget about the fantastic trails up that same mountain on your mountain bike in the summer! The Chateaux offers ski and bicycle storage too.

Crested Butte is one of the last true, unspoiled frontier towns in the west, really truely amazing! The views can’t be beat and the local hospitality is generous and friendly. It may be the last of its kind . We have spent years exploring Crested Butte and now we share it with our children - and with you! :)

My 7 buddies and I just stayed here for our annual ski/snowboard getaway and had a great time. The condo was even better than the pictures show, more space than expected, great layout, nicely finished, and convenient location. Everyone had their own bed which is great. Short walk to the pool, bus station to town, the ski area, groceries, you name it. It was well stocked and well cared for. And if you haven't skied CB...its a must!!! We had a great trip and I cannot recommend this unit and owner highly enough.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Just got home from our spring break trip to Crested Butte. Our stay in your condo was fabulous and I can't say enough positive things about the accommodations! Our group of twelve included my 91 year old gramdmother, my parents, my sister and 3 teenaged boys, my husband, myself and our 3 teenaged boys. Your place was so clean and had everything we could possibly need, including handicap accessibility for two of us. We worked with the ASC for our booking and can say they are as good at recommending lodging as they are at providing wonderful adaptive services. I would highly recommend your place to anyone making a trip to Crested Butte. It's location is so convenient to the mountain area, as-well-as, transportation to town. The boys loved taking a swim in the heated pool after a day of skiing and liked the freedom of being able to walk to the slopes by themselves. I am so sold on Crested Butte and your place, I am trying to plan a trip for summer ASC activities and the wildflower festival in July. If all the dates work out, you'll be hearing from me soon, via ASC, to book our stay. Thanks so much for sharing your place, it takes all the worry and stress out of planning for lodging...and when I'm happy and comfy, everybody's happy and comfy and has a great time!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

We had a great time at the Chateau. Danny was super cool and so was everyone else in CB. Your place is very nice and accommodating, probably one of the best places we've stayed in 12 years of doing this trip. The bus transportation in and around town makes getting around easy. thanks to last weekends 13" we had decent snow conditions too. The only suggestion I would have for improvement @ the condo is either another toaster, or a larger one. The one double slotter was struggling to get everyone toast/bagels at breakfast time with 10 hungry folks. Pretty minor detail, but thought I'd throw it out there to you. Again, everything was great and we look forward to returning to CB in the future! I'll definitely recommend your unit to anyone else interested in traveling to CB.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

We all came out together as a group from LA to take part in adventure programming with the Adaptive Sports Center (a nonprofit outdoor organization for people with disabilities). We were in need of a user-friendly place that’s accessible and after checking out the listing we were sold. This condo was a great choice for our crew of 7 adults! We loved the wheelchair friendly features (i.e. sinks, shower & countertops). It also within walking distance from the ski resort/Adaptive Sports Center and the town shuttle right by the door was handy on rough mornings. The views are also great from the condo and it’s a welcoming place. One of our guys wants to move out to Crested Butte now!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

"Amazing time in Crested Butte!" I was blown away the minute I entered the condo!! The decor is beautiful with very high end finishes...slate, tile, barn wood...you name it, it has it...Wow!. I traveled with my parents and my children. The condo more than accommodated all of our needs. It was so cozy and comfortable. You get the sense that a lot of love went into the planning and design. Bet the owners would be fun to get to know!! Even my 3 year old son loved it!! He played with the mini kitchen and legos in one of the bunk rooms non-stop! Everything is so efficiently planned out and immaculately clean. There were spaces for everybody to relax! And, places for all of us to hang our coats, backpacks, etc. Wonderful!! The condo is right on the bus line and very close to the kid camp, which we loved! The condo was very easy to locate and very quiet. I can't recommend it highly enough!! I will definitely go back! Don't look any further. You'll be right at home!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

Thank you again for sharing your great condo with my family and friends over the Christmas holidays. We had a great week of skiing and really enjoyed coming back to the condo for some relaxing and home cooking! The pictures on your website accurately reflect the warmth of your unit. We had two families with kids vacationing together and there was plenty of space for everyone. The TVs in each of the bedrooms was a plus with so many differing tastes. The kitchen provided everything we needed in order to dine in. The washer and dryer were a definite plus as I came home with very little laundry left to do! The walk to the slopes was an easy one, even with all our gear. What was even better on those cold mornings or exhausting afternoons was the bus. It picks up/delivers you right outside your door. The view from the condo and balcony was amazing. On New Years Eve we did not have to leave the comfort and warmth of the condo in order to see the torch light parade down the mountain or the fireworks! The owners of this unit were very easy to work with and really went out of their way to make sure we had a postive experience at their condo. They have a person in Crested Butte who looks after the condo and he is extremely nice and helpful. His phone number was provided just in case we had any issues, which we didn't. I would highly recommend your condo to anyone visiting Crested Butte and look forward to coming back again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

About the owner: We LOVE Crested Butte! It is a true, old fashioned ski town that we have been visiting for over 12 years. Our children are so very safe and the challenging ski slopes never get old for them. My husband and I have spent a lot of time over the years exploring other ski areas before settling here in Crested Butte. We knew that this was the right fit for us and our children from the incredible Adaptive Sports Center, to the amazing restaurants, the sweet main street down town that truly looks like a painting by Norman Rockwell, the great skiing in the winter, and the unbelievable summers, we can't say enough wonderful things! Please enjoy our home away from home and come back as often as you like! It's a great place to visit and a hard place to leave.
Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte:
We always had a very hard time finding a reasonably priced place to stay with a large family and a full kitchen that was handicapped accessible! With five children, we couldn't eat out every night so I needed a kitchen to prepare dinner and lunches, so when the opportunity arose to invest in this condo that was a first floor, mountain view unit, we jumped at the chance! We also travel a lot and really find the direct two hour flights to Gunnison from Houston and Dallas are perfect for us, less chance of getting stranded in Denver:)
