We had a great stay in this apartment. The contact is super friendly and the house is more than a house - we felt like home: so much space, equipped with love for details, tidy and only some minutes ago from Dublin city. I would book directly again. I don't think, there is any hotel or apartment, which has THIS standard and such a feeling like this place.

We had a fantastic stay in your house in Dublin. We have rented a lot of properties in our time and this was without a doubt the best one yet - spacious, stylish, comfortable and so full of little touches and treats like the scones, weather report, chocs and bath products - We felt really spoiled! Thanks also for booking the restaurant and taxis - this made things so easy and relaxing for us I'd recommend your house to anyone thinking of staying in Dublin - thanks for making it a really special treat to celebrate my birthday!

We had a wonderful stay at this property in the run-up to Christmas. It was spacious, warm, comfortable, clean and really thoughtfully appointed. The owners couldn't have been more helpful - booking a restaurant and taxis for us and providing masses of literature and suggestions for making the most of Dublin. We would definitely stay here again and would warmly recommend it to anyone thinking of treating themselves to a really special place to stay in Dublin.

We just returned from spending a perfect week in Dublin for our US Thanksgiving break. The home we rented from Simon was exactly as described. It was perfectly suited for my family and was our oasis at the end of long days of sightseeing. It was well appointed and comfortable and located within reasonable walking distance of major attractions, restaraunts, and other points of interest. Simon is a most gracious host checking in regularly during our stay to make certain we had everything we needed. His personal touch went above and beyond. We travel regularly and have been exposed to many different types of accomodations. We highly recommend this home and hope that you enjoy your trip to Dublin as much as we did.

Owner response: Hi Todd, Thank you for your wonderful feedback, tell your Mum i was asking for her? she is a gas ticket! Give my regards to the rest of the family Have a wonderful Christmas & New Year All the best for now & take care Regards Simon & Jo

We were a party of six and had more than adequate space. The home was described to us prior to our arrival and it exceeded our expectations. Location was perfect for car or by foot and easily accessible to downtown Dublin. Every room had all the ammenities above and beyond our wildest dreams, i.e. fresh flowers, butter, milk, jam, orange juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and even fresh scones ready for our arrival, a loaf of bakery bread and too many other things to mention. Bed linens were of exceptional quality also hair dryers and safes for valuables in every bedroom. Bedrooms were bright and airy and we certainly appreciated the truffles left in all of our bedrooms. The living room had a fireplace (which we used daily) and Netflix was provided for our TV enjoyment also Wifi was a great addition. Furniture in the living room was very comfortable and had tourism guides for all over Ireland. The kitchen was where we spent a great deal of time socializing and planning our daily trips and we cooked many meals -the stove was actually a pleasure to use even though we were on vacation. Aldi's was our local grocery store which we just loved for food, beer, wine etc. The main bathroom was spacious and we really loved the claw footed tub - the shower had constant hot water - very nicely decorated. The second bathroom was nicely decorated and was much appreciated with six in the house. A well equipped laundry room was a pleasant surprise. The patio, regretably we couldn't use because it was a little chilly but we could really see ourselves enjoying it had the weather been nicer. The owner went out of his way to make sure our visit was pleasurable and he was very personable and courteous and a fantastic landlord. We would recommend this home very highly to anyone. We didn't eat in any local restaurants but just a short trip out of Dublin in the Wiklow Mountains we had a fabulous meal at Wiklow Heather Restaurant. Our experience at this home was absolutely perfect.

We had a wonderful stay in Dublin. The house easily accommodated our whole family (six adults and one child). It is modern, spacious and very clean. It is located in a great Dublin neighbourhood - and right around the corner from a playground (perfect for our five year old). We also had easy walking access to many touristy parts of Dublin such as Temple Bar. It was ideally located for us. I'd highly recommend it for getting the authentic Dublin experience away from the many tourists but close enough to join in the fun now and again! Simon was also very helpful and responsive when we had questions about the stay.

The pride the owners take with this property is evident from the moment you meet them. Fresh flowers, rolled towels, fresh scones and some grocery basics like milk and juice all made this feel like a B&B experience. Kitchen is well stocked so you can cook in if you choose. Shower is strong and there is even a nice claw foot tub. The beds are not big so if the kids are a bit older I would say the home will sleep 5 to 6 comfortably. The neighborhood is quiet and north of the Liffy. It is a bit of a walk to the river, almost a mile to Trinity but the walk is easy and we tended to just take one of the very plentiful taxis home at night. There is a nice shopping street closer by with Zaras and the like. The Dublin Airport is also an easy taxi ride away and Simon nicely offers to make a reservation for us.

We just spent 6 nights in this fantastic rental home and were extremely impressed. The house was everything advertised -- modern, clean, spacious, cozy, comfortable furniture, great beds, completely up-to-date kitchen, bathroom, and entertainment systems -- in a word, perfect. However, it was the attention to detail and top notch customer service from Simon and Jo that we most appreciated. From the deliciously warm homemade scones (promptly devoured) to the stocked pantry (spices, coffee, sugar, tea) and fridge (milk, juice, butter, bread) to the organized binder outlining how to work every appliance, where to get take away food, and which taxi service to contact, the landlords thought of everything. The house is also in an ideal location. It is a short walk to the Tesco grocery store, the convenience store around the corner, and Dublin City Centre. We found it easy to walk everywhere and took a taxi only twice for an early morning and late return day trip to the West Coast of Ireland. If you are thinking about visiting Dublin, you should definitely consider staying here. A++++

We stayed at Simon's house the first couple weeks in May 2012 and it was absolutely perfect. The house was clean and inviting (just like the pics), Simon couldn't have been more nice and the neighboorhood is lovely. A quaint little park lies between the house and the local grocer, meat market and small cafes. It is nicely located with only a 10min walk to the tip on city center. Having laundry onsite and having a kitchen to save a few cents on eating out was great. If you plan on renting a car this place is perfect. Easy to get out of town and easy to get back into town. We made this our home base and traveled much of the country. Its relatively centrally located (country-wise) except for the far SW and far NW. Otherwise you can reach most anywhere within a couple of hours. Simon was excellent at giving us suggestions on places to eat and grab a pint. We took his advice a few times, once to dinner at 101 Talbot--excellent food and service. We also went to his suggested whiskey bar which had an amazing selection of whiskey. I highly recommend this house if you're staying in Dublin or using it as base camp to travel outside of town. I would even recommend this house to my closest loved ones. Thanks Simon for a great experience...and thank your wife for the scones!!!! :)

We just spent 10 nights in this great rental home! The house is in a great location, only 10-15 minute walk to Temple Bar and O'Connell Street. 5 or so minute walk through a nice park to a Tesco. Also easy access to a highway for day trips, big bonus. The house was very well equipped and plenty spacious for 3 couples. We had friends over for dinner a couple of nights and they couldnt believe how nice of a place we were staying in! The updates are fantastic! Simon had great suggestions for restaurants and bars and was a great help throughout the entire rental process. If we return to Ireland we will definitly contact you again! ...in the mean time this home comes highly recommended to all of our traveling friends. Thank you for everything. Hi Simon and Jo, what a great home to explore Dublin from. Starting with the scones on arrival to the prompt attention when the kettle did not work, Simon made sure we were always well cared for. The house was exactly as described and all 3 couples were impressed with the attention to detail including chocolates beside the beds, milk, juice, butter, bread etc in the fridge. With the weather throwing all it had at us, the cosiness of this house gave us the feeling of belonging, something you can't get in a hotel room. Parking was not an issue with the permits provided, although a large car might be problematic in a narrow street. Our guests even brought their friends from England in to show off the house and it's tasteful decor. Lastly, Simon provided us with great tips on pubs and restaurants in Dublin and Galway. The cabbies were also great. This was the perfect place to celebrate our Son's wedding to our beautiful Irish daughter in law. We enjoyed the crac with Simon throughout our stay and if you get the chance, ask him to introduce you to his older sister (mum)!! We would definitely recommend this home.

We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Everything was there that we needed with a large dining room table for all of us to sit around. We get apartments through vrbo whenever we vacation and this was one of the roomiest we've had. The shower was slow draining on the first day but I called Simon and he had it fixed before we got back to the aparment that same day. Very quick service. Jo even baked some scones and had them in the apartment when we arrived. It was a very pleasant stay in Dublin.

My family and I just spent Christmas week at this lovely Dublin home and couldn't have had a more enjoyable experience. The house is warm, welcoming, and everything we hoped for and Simon, the landlord, even had a Christmas tree up for us! The photos on the Website are exactly what the house is like—beautiful and modern looking. Simon was extremely helpful and gave us tips on where to go, what restaurants to frequent, and which pubs serve the best beer. The walk into the center of Dublin was not too far for us, as we appreciated walking off some of the calories we were consuming! We truly felt at home and would recommend this home to anyone visiting Dublin.

We booked this house for a girly weekend in Dublin. The house is beautifully decorated to a boutique hotel standard. Simon & Jo's home is beautiful, and even though not in the middle of the city, it's a great neighborhood with a lovely park, local pubs and grocery stores just a five minute walk away. We were able to walk to Jamison's Distillery, and a 20 minute stroll gets you to the Liffey and all the pubs and activity in the Temple Bar district. Plenty of room at the house to stretch out and relax, and it was the meeting place for all of us in the morning to have breakfast at the large farm style table and discuss the day's activities. Even though my Mom (75) was recovering from hip surgery, she was still able to navigate the short stairway to the main eating/kitchen area, and she used the bedroom on that level, so the home is very comfortable and perfect for all ages! Simon met us to review the specifics of the appliances, etc, but a very helpful binder of information on the kitchen table got us through what our jet lagged minds forgot during our week long stay. His wife had baked a tray of scones that were gobbled up immediately, and she even left the recipe card so we could attempt to enjoy a little bit of Ireland baking once we got back to the States. Any travelers would be foolish to not consider this wonderful home as a launching pad for all things to do and see in Dublin and the northeast side of Ireland. Simon also provided several maps and booklets with things to do and recommendations for dining and drinking. Perfect! Thanks again to our gracious hosts! We loved "The Winding Stair", and your tips for eats in Galway as well. Take care!

Location was great - so close to downtown but even closer to supermarket, bank, pubs and park. We walked to Dublin sights daily, but occasionally used cabs (less than 10 Euro) after dark or for a special dinner out.The house was very clean and well maintained. Loved congregating around the large kitchen table for evening dinners, reviewing the day's activities and planning the next day. Professional business cards with a map were helpful, especially in the beginning and also for giving directions to taxi drivers. Appreciated the postcard with picture of interior of house as a good keepsake. Simon, the owner, was very welcoming with helpful tour tips & dining recommendations. In addition, there were ample travel guides & business cards to consult at the house. We found plenty to do in six days, including enjoyable day trips to Howth (by DART) and County Wicklow (by tour bus).

As a family of four we spent six days in this very comfortable and typical house on quiet Auburn street.. This property is excatly as listed and nothing misses, even treats and basic items such as bread and milk at our arrival. We did not know that the queen was coming during our stay in Dublin. We had the chance to witness a "little riot" near our house. Nothing serious but we had a nice show for an hour or so ! Altough this house is in walking distance to central Dublin, we most often got a cab to roam around the city. There are very many taxis in Dublin so we never had to wait. I would defenitly return to Simon's house if i have a chance to return to this very special city.
