“Secret Paradise” is a luxury newly remodeled beautifully decorated 5 bedroom, 3 full and one half bath home, boasting 3000+ square feet of living space. The home is located in the upscale gated community of Emerald Shores. This beach home is located only 500 yards from the spectacular white sand and clear breathtaking water of Destin. Spend a week with us and you will know why we named our new home “Secret Paradise”
Our home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac between the two private neighborhood pools; a short two minute walk takes you to either pool (heated seasonally), tennis court, basketball or shuffle board. Emerald Shores is the only neighborhood in the Destin area with its own private pavilion on the beach with bathrooms, shower, picnic tables, sun deck, new in 2012 Lil Cabana Cafe (offering cold drinks, snacks and food items), plus private deeded beach owned by the subdivision. During summer months Emerald Shores offers a FREE shuttle service to take you to the beach or you can enjoy the short 5 minute walk through the tropical neighborhood to get to the beach using our wagon to bring all your toys and chairs. Also we offer a rolling cooler to bring all your refreshments. Beach service (umbrella and chair rental) is available as well or you may bring your own.
“Secret Paradise” is newly upgraded and has been freshly painted and professionally decorated. After entering through the leaded glass front doorway you will be welcomed with a large open floor plan to enjoy. The spacious living room has plenty of comfortable seating with all new furnishings including a 52' HDTV, dining area with oversized wood table for eight and fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances, new stone backsplash, new maple cabinetry and Corian counters with 5 bar stools for countertop dining. We also have a booster highchair for the babies visiting. Kitchen also has a large pantry as well as a door to the back covered patio with propane grill and charcoal grill to extend outside dining. First floor has NO steps and has three entries for added convenience.
The spacious first floor tropical themed master bedroom boasts a king size bed, new carved poster bed, 32 inch TV, and DVD player. Attached is a full bath with oversized shower and new toilet. The first floor also has a full laundry room (complimentary laurndry detergent) with deep sink, iron, ironing board, drying rack, and door to front porch. A half bath is an added feature on the first floor with new decor and new toilet.
Extra wide stairwell leads to the second floor with three addition bedrooms, porch access, local artisan custom made desk, large full bath with double sinks, tub with shower, and new toilet.
The first second floor bedroom features king size bedroom suit, flat screen 32 inch TV, DVD player, French doors to large covered porch, and large closet. Additional bedroom has two twin beds and a sleeper sofa, tv and hosts 4 people. Also a third bedroom on the second floor has a queen bed and deluxe full futon, large closet, and TV and DVD player finishes this floor. A Pack n Play crib is also available for the babies coming to visit.
Venture up to the third floor for a private luxury suite! Queen size bed awaits with French doors to a private balcony that is great for relaxing and watching the sunset. This room features full bath with shower and new toilet, closet, flat screen 32 inch TV, DVD player and a chair for comfort or for reading a good book.
We offer free Wi-Fi, local phone, multiple TVs, DVD players, cable TV. The home has 4 large covered porches for relaxing and enjoying your stay. A propane grill is offered as well as a charcoal grill. Also a wagon and rolling cooler are supplied for your use to bring your things to the beach or pools. The home features two hot water tanks and dual ac units. Every bedroom and also the living room has ceiling fans. All linens and towels(excluding beach towels)are provided. A Pack n Play crib and booster highchair is offered for babies visiting. Private driveway for parking 3/4 cars.
Destin has so much to offer everyone. If you are looking for more to do than enjoy the beautiful white sandy beaches and emerald waters there is plenty more to do. Destin is a shoppers dream with Destin Commons (upscale outdoor shopping plaza), Silver Sands Outlet mall (largest designer outlet mall in nation, over 100+ outlet stores), and The Village of Baytowne Wharf (outdoor boutique shopping with restaurants). All located within 2-3 miles of “Secret Paradise”. Destin is also known as the “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”. The Harborwalk Village is located in the fishing harbor of Destin. Home to the Fishing Rodeo this harbor has charter boats and multiple activities for the whole family. Dining out in any of the area restaurants is a great way to spend an afternoon. We were a large group of five couples with kids. This house was perfect. We never felt crowded, we had plenty of room to all hang out in living/dining area. The kitchen was above fully stocked. The wagon to haul beach stuff was a definate plus. There was also TONS of beach toys, huge beach mats, and even chairs!. The walk to the beach took about 7 min with kids. The pavilion was so handy. Food was great when it was open and it was nice to be able to wash off before walking back. The bedrooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The community itself had a safe and friendly feel. I cannot say enough great things about Linda and the house. If you are thinking about this home look no further. You will not be disappointed!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had a great stay at Secret Paradise! We went with a few other couples and their families. All kids were between 2 and 7years old. We loved getting to use the wagon to take all of our gear to the beach and the Pavilion was wonderful. Having.a convenient place to use the restroom on the beach was great. Our family stayed in the third floor room. It was quite a workout carrying my 2yer old up there, but it turned into a running joke throughout the trip. The house was perfect and Destin was beautiful. Our group liked eating at Mcguires the best, but our best night was when our husbands cooked us all a crab boil and a ton of fish. We had a wonderful time! Linda, I would like to thank you for sharing Secret Paradise with my family. We enjoyed your first class amenities and the first class service that you provided! The house was beautiful and very well equipped for all of our needs.Your attention to detail and quick response to any problem was greatly appreciated. We did enjoy the grill except "maybe" i overcooked the meat a little bit! LOL. But the family was hungry enough after enjoying the beach and the pool I don't believe they noticed it as much! Again, Thank you for all that you did to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Secret Paradise really is a paradise in Destin. My entire family (wife, 3 daughters, their husbands and families) has vacationed in Destin for several years. We have usually rented a high-rise condo but given that there are 14 of us, we decided to rent a house this time. Secret Paradise was everything we could have wanted! It was clean, spacious and decorated beautifully! It rained all day our first day there and Linda emailed to remind us of games, books, etc. in the upstairs closet! The rest of the week the weather was beautiful. With several small children in our group, we appreciated being so close to the pools as well as the beach. Some of us rented bikes which made for another fun activity. It was a great vacation and we would definitely consider renting this home again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children.

The owners have put a lot of thought into the presentation of their beautiful home. Great location with 5 minute walk to beach and 2 pools within 2 blocks. We enjoyed the white sand beach & the wagon full of beach toys made available to us. A number of good eating places within walking distance. (Captain Dave's, Kenny D's & Pompano Joes). Also enjoyed McGuires. Had a great week with our family and we would recommend Secret Paradise for a fun filled or relaxing vacation.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had a terrific time. We had a large family and the home was very accomodating. Love the 3rd floor bedroom for privacy. We made use of the wagon to get our belongings to the beach and the outdoor space is also wonderful. The gated communitiy was beautiful and we really liked the location of the home. We had 3 toddlers with us and the home was located on a cul de sac so we didn't have to worry about them being out on a main road. We also didn't have to worry about them getting to the pool because it was a block away. Also we found the walk to the beach enjoyable and of course everyone needs daily exercise especially when you're on vacation and enjoying terrific meals.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Having our beach home sit on a quiet cul de sac only 340 feet to the main pool and 1500 feet to the beach gives our guests the privacy they need but also the accessibility to enjoy the entire Emerald Shores neighborhood.

We have vacationed in Destin for over 30 years. We have utilized all types of rentals, military, condo, and homes. We discovered Emerald Shores about six years ago and found it to be the most enjoyable location in Destin for us. We have rented several homes in Emerald Shores and found them all to be very comfortable and relaxing, Several years we rented Secret Paradise (a different name at that time with different owners) and decided because we enjoyed it so much, location and layout of the home, we would rent it again whenever available for the time we were able to spend there. Last winter, we once again tried to rent the home and discovered the home not only had new owners, it also had a wonderful new appearance both outside and inside. The new color outside is warm and inviting and the newly painted rooms inside are warm and friendly. Much of the furniture in the home is new and comfortable. We found the home to be completely furnished and clean. The new owners have done a wonderful remodel and have been eager to please their guests in every way. We are booked for two months for 2012.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

Thank You for sharing your fantastic property for our vacation ! I brought 5 Special Needs Adults and children to stay the week and couldn't of had a more enjoyable time ! Some of my friends had never been on a vacation and this couldn't have been a better start!! We all agreed that we will be coming back as soon as possible. Not only was the home great but also the neighbors. About the owner: We are the new proud owners of 'Secret Paradise' located in Emerald Shores, Destin Florida. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in 2010 and purchased our beach home that same year. We have two wonderful children, 19 and 23. Family is very important to us and vacationing together has always been a highlight of every year. We have always loved the beach and wanted to find the perfect place to own a vacation home. The first time we visited Destin was in the summer of 2005 and found it to be a true Secret Paradise. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio we did not know a clear emerald water beach existed in the United States until we found Destin. The bright white sand and clear water is breathtaking! We now own a 'Secret Paradise' and would like to share it with others!
Why the Owner Chose Emerald Shores:
Secret Paradise is located on a cul-de-sac in the family oriented Emerald Shores neighborhood. We like having a gated community and it's convenient location to the beach. Having two pools to enjoy and a private beach pavilion is a 'one of a kind' offered in the Destin area. Also the free tram service to the beach in peak season is a great feature!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
A short five minute walk to the beach and also strategically placed between the two pools offered. We not only have three porches on the front of the home we also have a private porch on the back of the home. Our long driveway on the side of the home makes parking your vehicles easy and out of the way. We are so relaxed and comfortable in our beach home and hope the same for you and your family!
