We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into this condo after having driven from Wisconsin to our spring break destination. Michele was very easy to contact prior to arriving but once we arrived it took a few calls/messages/texts to get a reply--nothing major but wanted to find out how to get the wi-fi that was supposed to be in the condo. Turns out, you had to be by the kitchen window in order to get a signal that was "shared" but I never was able to get a strong signal. All worked out OK though cuz we were on vacation and work was not supposed to be happening anyway... The condo is located in a perfect spot--easy access to everything and if you like to walk, it's conveniently situated within walking distance to a lot of different places. We loved the closeness of the pools, the channel right in your back yard (loved to feed the fish and turtles!), the huge main floor with awesome tile flooring, the washer/dryer access upstairs, bathrooms off each room upstairs and the completely furnished kitchen! Thanks for a super stay!

We grilled out on our back patio everyday while the kids fished. Enjoyed playing putput golf, tennis and swimming in the heated pool in our resort. We watched the GA vs FL game at sharkeys restaurant while the kids played on the beach building sand castles. The owner had new furniture delivered which my husband enjoyed the recliner. We will returnable soon.

I stayed at this condo for a week and I absolutely loved it. The owner was very nice to work with and the condo was even better than described. We were right across from the beach and the Panama strip. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a good family based vacation. The people who live in the resort were very friendly and the area is very quiet. I cannot wait until next year, I was very sad to leave!

Peace and Quiet... Finally

The beach house was tastefully decorated and squeaky clean. So nice to get out of the car and traffic to a comfortable townhome just a few minutes walk to the ocean. We literally made one stop at Walmart & parked the car for most of our stay. We enjoyed several local eateries all within walking distance. Rented a couple of mopeds one day and had the time of our lives: cruisin from the state park at one end to Towne Center open air mall at the other with all the festivities/shopping of city. Thanks so much for an enjoyable time at your townhouse Michele: your the best!

Never Again-Worst vacation experience ever: No air condition upon arrival

Owner claims she just remodeled this unit last year, all we could see was new indoor tile floor that continues out to the patio. There were blinds missing from the patio doors next to the pull out sofabed which was a privacy issue. The couch was very worn. We found some pretty nasty stuff when our children had to pull out the sofa bed to sleep on. Mattresses were worn out. Master bed had a visible dip in the mattress. Sheets had yellow stains on them. Unfinished tile at bottom of stairs could be hazard.Nothing would stay plugged in as the electrical outlets were worn out and seemed like a hazard. There were only 7 washcloths so we had to wash everyday. The TVs are very old. The TV upstairs doesn't even have a remote because it has a dial you have to turn to change the channels. There was a VCR/DVD player but the TV didn't have an extra hookup for it, you had to literally unplug the satellite cable to plug in the VCR/DVD player. The pictures of her unit on this site were obviously taken many years ago. Owner would not return my calls before our arrival. Once she had our money, she no longer returned my calls. When we arrived to the unit, it was a steaming 90 degrees inside...the air condition was out and the floors were dirty. She did not even call me to let me know the air was out. I left her several messages to call me back. She waited until I called the police, then she called and set us up another place to stay. But then she got someone to fix the air at 8:30pm and told us to go back to her unit and she wouldn't pay for us to stay in the other unit even though the guy that fixed the air said it would not be cooled off until about midnight. She refused us a refund. So our whole first day was a waste as was the second day because of all the mental stress. The cleaning lady came the next day and was super nice and cleaned the floors for us. This unit was just not family friendly. It seemed more like a party place even down to the personal pictures hanging on the walls. Everything was just so worn out. It was literally the worst place I have ever stayed. She never called after the night of our arrival to see if the rest of our stay was satisfactory. After we returned home, she actually sent us a partial refund to "enjoy and forget about our arrival." But then put a stop payment on it claiming it was meant for someone else...so I guess that means someone else had a bad arrival. WOW!! I will never rent here again!!

Owner response:My first poor review and please read my response before you decide wheather to contact me. I had a family depart after a weeks stay that morning with no complaint of the ac not working. This group that wrote this review arrived early and my unit was not cleaned completely and the unit was warm. The housekeeper had another 30 minutes to finish. I was on vacation in the Bahamas and yes it took me 20 minutes to get back with them after they called me. I responded to there two complaints immediately. I made a callin to the ac company which they did arrive and fixed the ac by 7:30pm (major part replaced)that day. I called my cleaning manager and she explained that she was not finished but this group would not allow her to return until the next morning at 10am. I immediately sent the Board Member over (Darla) to my unit to speak to this group. They had two more additional people where they would had lost there stay in my unit without approval. I did not want this group sitting in a warm unit so I moved them next door into a neighbors unit for the night at no charge in case the ac could not be fixed immediately. They discovered that it was a three bedroom vs my two bedroom. They immediately called me and asked if they could stay in three bedroom unit vs my two bedroom I told them only for the night and after the unit was cool they could move back next door that I did not own that unit. They became disgruntled due to there size of group. The ac was fixed and unit was cool by 730pm the day they arrived. They chose to stay in my unit for the night vs the larger unit because the ac was fixed by than. I did remodel my unit by: new mexican tile in all 3 bathrooms/living room/kitchen, new stainless steel refrig/microwave/dinner table/bar stools/coffee table/ceiling fans/comforters/patio furniture/bathroom towel racks/light fixtures. TVs/DVD worked well and my living room furniture is clean and the sun has worn down the color. My next agenda is upgrading living room furniture and adding flat screen tvs. Please dont let this only poor review out of many stop you from vacationing in our family vacation home.

Can't believe the last post! We stayed there in late June and can't wait to go back. The place was super clean and kid friendly. We were on the best area of the beach and could walk to just about everywhere we wanted to go. It had a great patio area looking over the canal! The kitchen was large, clean, and spacious. The bedrooms were nice, and the beds were super comfortable.

The owner of this property was the easiest and nicest person we have ever dealt with! She was courteous and very very helpful!! Her property is spectacular and the location is perfect!!! There was so much to do within walking distance too. The condo was neat and clean, and well stocked and furnished. We recommend this owner and her property to everyone!!!! We will definately be back! LOVE this place! We have actually rented from the owner several times and have always enjoyed our stay -- the location is just perfect! We love to bring our bikes to get around or just walk. Plenty of things to do close to the condo -- swimming - pool and beach, mini-golf, fishing, tennis, work-out room, shopping, excellent places to eat and enjoy the atmosphere. We look forward to staying here many more times!!

First, let me say it was a pleasure renting from Michelle. She worked w/me in getting our dates together for this vacation w/friends & our kids. She has more than 1 townhome in Gulf Highlands & this was not the actual one we rented. I just wanted to leave a review here since this is one listed on VRBO. She worked w/our dates & the condo we stayed in was wonderful. I just know her others are just as great. The back patio on the Lagoon is where we spent all our time when we were not at the pools, beach, etc. We had two 5 yr olds and they fished every second they could. My daughter caught her 1st fish...2 catfish! She had so much fun releasing them w/her Daddy. The concrete patio was also great for chalk art creations! We had all the comforts of home and were able to sit down for meals together, all 6 of us. I can truly say the location is wonderful as well and the short walk to the beach was easy as pie. There are plenty of places to swim on the property within very easy access. The pool located across from the front door of the condo was very large and very nice! Was also a bonus to be less than a block away from one of my favorite restaurants in PCB, the Saltwater Grill. I highly recommend renting from this owner, she is top notch. We will be back and we plan on staying at Gulf Highlands again and renting from Michelle. Thanks Michelle for all the wonderful communication! I'll be checking with you about your mountain properties as well. We had a wonderful time on our vacation :)

What a perfect beach condo. It has everything you need and in a great location. There are several pools and within walking distance to the beach. I have been several times with girlfriends and family. It is a great place for kids. There is so much to do and the condo itself is in excellent condition and very comfortable. The owner was awesome to deal with - so helpful.

Great Time At The Beach

This community in the heart of Panama City Beach is excellently maintained and a fun place to visit. The condos are well kept and the neighborhood is safe. There are many pools and the canal is a fun place to fish and see the wildlife. This particular condo is beautifully decorated and is well stocked with all you would need for a great vacation. It is close to beach and there is a great pool and clubhouse to use for the community. I have thoroughly enjoyed the times i have stayed there. It is convienent to all things in the area. It would be great for a family or a couple. I would recommend it to everyone i know!
