What a wonderful house - beautifully equipped - great location. We so enjoyed our three weeks +. Gina is very easy to work with on arrangements. The house is very attractive, the beds are comfortable, and there is plenty to kitchen equipment for cooking. We have stayed in a number of beach houses - this one is the best overall. There are plenty of places to eat and you are close to Venice for even more good restaurants. We had a lovely stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

My family has been coming to Manasota Key for many years. This beach house was a great find for a family of four. The pictures online do not do it justice, we were even more impressed in person. Everything was perfect, the house was well equipped with many amenities. The private pool and short walk to the private beach were just perfect. The house has many beach towels, mats, and chairs that are great for long days at the beach. The kitchen and bathrooms are very clean and updated. We enjoyed many sunsets on the dock at the bay or at the beach with a glass of wine. There are many restaurants and shops close by. The house allows pets and our Cavapoo, Winston really enjoyed the long walks and swimming at the beach. He was right at home with so many other dogs around. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a little piece of paradise off the beaten path. The caretakers Herb & Patsy were very nice & provided good restaurant recommendations. We are looking forward to returning soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners.

Manasota Key was recommended by my boss who also had a house near the Bay. So we found this little gem of a place and this was a true paradise!!! Everything you could ever want in a little vacation get-away. Perfect layout for a house and quite spacious as we loved the outside lanai area and pool area especially in the evenings!!! Just the right place and location (just far enough away from night life, but still easy enough to get to) as we'd would highly recommened this place for anyone looking to getaway for some R&R!!! All the house ammenities were just right and well thought out by the Owners... making us feel it was our own home. Our daughter who is 10 1/2 just loved the place too as she was like a fish out of water, so if you have kids, there are plenty of pool toys with awesome access to the Bay and Beach!!!!....as well as plenty of other activities in the area!!! We look forward to coming back to this area and returning to our favorite little gem of paradise on Manasota Key!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway.

The Beach House is relaxation in the best setting in old Florida. Between the beach, pool and bay we never left the property for the whole week. The house has everything you need for a home away from home. This was our third year and we are already looking forward to our next.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

I highly recommend this house for your vacation. I know we will probably be going back. It is a beautiful home, very clean, has everything you need, plus things you forgot to pack. It was my parents, me and my husband and our 2 children ages 13 & 6. We all fit very comfortably. So close to the beach and bay side and we LOVED having our own private pool for the kids. I can't imagine anything better for the price. Plus it felt very private, yet there was shopping and restaurants just minutes away. And the owners were great at answering questions when I had them. We ate at quite a few of the restaurants, we tried to eat as much seafood as possible. If you are planning a trip that way, I say call about this house, you will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a wonderful home for a vacation! It was exactly like the on line description. The pool was such a bonus; very large and relaxing! I would recommend this home to anyone vacationing with family or friends. I would rent this home again!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My husband, two kids(8 & 10), and I arrived just as Tropical Storm Debbie arrived. Even though this put a damper on the first few days we made the most of it. We even went down to the public beach on one of the storm days when it wasn't raining. The kids played in the sand but the ocean's waves were too strong to go in. Once the storm passed the water was beautiful. That was one powerful storm! Very neat to see ONCE. The home was perfect. Very clean and decorated just like I would expect a beach home to be. We have rented a few homes in the area and would definitely come back to this beach home. You felt just like you were at home. The pool was amazing and the beach was a two minute walk just across the island's one road...perfect! The kids also went fishing in the bay (two houses away) with their grandfather. They all caught a few fish! What a great place you have. We will cherish the memories we made on this vacation. Thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful home. We had a trip diverted due to a passport issue and started looking on VRBO to find an alternative location that would provide a Caribbean-like experience. We found it! This private beach house was as comfortable as home. Clean and well-appointed and very private and secure feeling. We stopped at both the Lock and Key and the Grill for our two dinner nights and could imagine being a regular. Our kids loaded up on sharks teeth and shells at the private beach from easement with the house. Although we were not directly on the gulf, the privacy of the home and the home's pool coupled with the quality throughout was well worth the trade-off. It was very peaceful and yet 3 miles from groceries and shopping. Once you hit the bridge into Manasota Key you entered a vacation world just far enough from the congestion and traffic of the main areas of Florida.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here for a one week vacation in June. The house is accurately described online and is well maintained. My kids loved the pool and there was plenty of space for us w/ 3 bedrooms and a large dining area. Sitting in the screen enclosed lanai or by the pool is quiet and peaceful. The walk to the beach was just across the road so it isn't very far. We were basically the only people on our section of the beach - perfect! Plenty of dining nearby plus Publix grocery store is a short drive. Overall, a great place to stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

PARADISE is the first word that comes to mind when describing our recent visit to this beautiful beach home! Our visit was PERFECT in every way. We were most impressed with the peaceful and serene setting which allows the "get-away mentality" to kick in immediately. The beach home itself is immaculate and very up-to-date with all of the amenities of home.The pictures and descriptions accurately show this property. We loved spending early mornings in the screened-in porch,drinking our coffee,and planning the days activities. The large closed-in pool and spa are a nice alternative to the sandy beach. The beach is a short walk offering beautiful Florida sunsets (don't forget the wine!) and terrific opportunities to hunt shells and daily walking/ running options. Don't forget to try the local food establishments as they provide outstanding Florida specialties. A book of menus and restaurant names are provided for your convenience. Our visit was too short and we hope to return very soon to again sample that Florida hospitality at this perfect rental home!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

In one word FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! The pictures enclosed were exactly as described. You could not ask for a better location. Down a small road so peaceful and private yet just around the corner from anything you could ever need to stock up for the week. We fished all day, if we weren't in our boat we were fishing from the lovely dock that gives a breath taking view. We even seen a manatee and dolphin swim right up to it. Also we enjoyed the pool and hot tub that I honestly cannot describe in words! All I can say is that I hope one day my husband and I can get a pool put in just like this one. It honestly is the best beach cottage we have ever rented from on the beaches of Manasota Key and we are Florida residents that come every year to the beach down here. I would recommend this beach home to anyone! Thank you again Gina for the wonderful stay!!! What a stress free way to spend the week before Christmas with family! This impeccable, charming beach home, oozing with hospitality, provided our family of six including our son-in-law and three year old granddaughter the most relaxing vacation we have ever had with plenty of room and privacy for all. If anything, the description and photos are an understatement. Just a short, short walk to the beautiful, private beach allowed many opportunities to collect seashells, enjoy long walks and experience amazingly breathtaking sunsets on the Gulf. The public beach with playground (for entertaining a three year old) and local restaurants were only about a mile away. Preparing meals in the well equipped kitchen was a snap and the grill on the patio allowed us to cook fresh fish from the local vendors nightly. Then we relaxed in the hot tub! We enjoyed “doing nothing” so much we extended our stay three more days. Easy WiFi access made it possible to change our schedules while relaxing on the lanai. My husband and I have stayed here with friends several times and love it. It has comfortable furnishings and everything you need in the way of kitchen items, towels, etc.; roomy, immaculate, and a quiet retreat. The pool is great and we love that we're just a short walk to a bench on the beach where we can watch the sunset over the gulf. One of my favorite features is that 6 people can sit around a nice big table to share meals. During the day, we can take a tray out to the pool and enjoy an umbrella table there. Can't wait to return to this vacation spot again soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We have stayed at this property many times and always leave looking forward to our next visit! The rooms are light and airy and the decorating impecable. It is filled with all the beautiful details that make a place special for me. The yard and pool are next to none, and the overall location (just a few steps away from the intercoastal waterway and a 3 minute walk to a beautiful gulf beach) make this place a little peace of heaven on earth for us. It is quiet and serene and I always come home renewed and rested! Look for the dolphins in the nearby waters! We spent nearly a week at the cottage last March. We found the decor warm and inviting with plenty of Florida charm. We took full advantage of the private gulf beach early morning and especially at sunset with a glass of wine. It was breathtaking. We climbed into the hot tub at the end of each day. The two of us stayed comfortably with our son, daughter, son-in-law and grandaughter and enjoyed nearby shopping, several outstanding restaurants and public beaches each day. We bought fresh red snapper from a stand and prepared it on the grill at the cottage. The kitchen was very well equipped to prepare the meals we ate at the cottage. This is a wonderful place for a quiet stay with excellent public beaches and other amenities a short drive away.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this property. The photos are an accurate reflection of the property. It is well maintained, clean and has all of the amenities for a great stay. We received great directions from the owners along with helpful information about location of dinning options, grocery stores and area walks. This is a great area for going for walks both inland and on the beach. Favorite daily activity was taking the short walk to the Gulf. There we enjoyed great views of the sunset along with one of our favorite wines. We also enjoyed being able to cook out each evening after an afternoon swim in the pool. I would recommend the property to anyone and we are looking forward to a return visit. You will not be disappointed in this home or visiting the area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
