  This property far exceeded my expectations. It was clean and well maintained, located within walking distance of the historic forts and the heart of Old San Juan. The view out the front is unbelieveable. The apartment is small, but perfect for a couple. The owner called to check on us and was avalible for any needs. I would recommend this property to anyone.

  My Wife and I had wonderful time. Nothing better than waking up to sun on the San Juan . The view were terrific. Unit is accross the street from the major attractions in San Juan. Close and in walking distance to all the Old San Juan restaurants, shopping and tourist sites. The Unit is perfect for two. The unit has all that you will need for your stay. It was clean and well maintained. It could use a little more lighting, other than that we enjoyed our stay and thanks to Bernando for this grea place. See you next year.

  Irma & Bernardo are very accommodating. The place is a great location and they even held a parking spot for us. We had a great time in the place; the water ran out in Old San Juan when we were there. Even though it wasn't their fault, they gave us a partial refund! Great customer Service.

  I stayed at the apartment for one week with my mother. It was a lot larger than I thought and socked with everything I would need. There is a place under the sink and in a basket fellow guests had left unused or unneeded items for the next person, such as bug spray or laundry soap, so check this out before heading to the store. The best thing about the apartment was the location. It is in walking distance to everything so we were able to skip and save the money on taxi's and tours. Fort Cristabol is right across the street and El Morro a short walk. Everything else to visit was on average 1/4-1/2 a mile away. The apartment does have a table with tourism books and maps for guidance. The area is heavily monitored by police on foot, bike, and car, so I felt safe. The area was quiet and no issue with neighbors. I only used the a/c unit for one night, it was loud but tolerable and worked well. It may bother a light sleeper though. However, opening the windows and getting the fresh cool air keep us cool the rest of the trip.

  Such a cute apartment, easy 1st floor entrance, beach view, lovely tiled bathroom; the apartment is stocked with pots and pans, utensils, salt & pepper (which I didn't realize and actually went out to buy). I found the place very comfortable for my husband, me and our son. I will definitely stay in this place next time I return to PR. I lived in Viejo San Juan for 3 years, and let me tell you, for the price you can't beat this place. The AC worked well, but let me warn you visitors that PR gets really humid and sticky, so even with AC you may be a bit uncomfortable, but that's just PR for you. I think I read an interview about there being adequate ventilation if you turn the fan on and keep the windows open and not needing AC and that's true during the day...but this apartment is very close to La Perla so I wouldn't suggest leaving the windows open at night.

  My wife and I booked this apartment for 3 nights before a cruise, and highly recommend it. Gorgeous view with the Atlantic Ocean out the front door and Fort San Cristobal literally a stones throw to the right. Basic, clean accommodations, that allowed you to get a taste of how everyday folks live in Old San Juan. A full kitchen, nice bath, adequate linens (for the bed, if you want to use the futon also, you will need to ask the owner to provide linens for it) , good storage space, and tastefully decorated with interesting art work. The AC unit in the bedroom was adequate, but with very thick walls, high ceilings and "flow through" ventilation from the ocean breezes it was rarely needed. The owner was very nice, very easy to work with and answers e-mails promptly. The location looked to be a little out of the way, but was surprisingly convenient, close to the forts, and within a couple of blocks of the major "restaurant row". There is also a pretty good laundry/dry cleaners down the hill a block and around the corner. We found that walking Old San Juan was surprisingly easy from this location. The pictures in the listing are accurate. It is located right on a fairly busy street, so there is substantial traffic noise at all hours. However, in the bedroom with the door closed and AC on it was not noticeable, even though I am a fairly light sleeper. Do understand that this is not a hotel with full service amenities and you are pretty much "on your own" doing your own bed making and clean up. Considering the price, location and accommodations this apartment is an excellent value. I would definitely stay there again.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, age 55+, sightseeing.

  Great place for the money. Also an excellent location. Very clean and well kept. I would recommend this place to my closest friends.
