Our family of six stayed in this delightful home for a week and were truly sad to leave. We had quite settled into it! This is a very beautiful home in a quiet tree-lined streetbut is also very close to shops and is a short walk from the train station, which takes you into Philadelphia center. The house was sparkling clean, well - maintained and very well - equipped. Unlike many previous holiday homes I have stayed in (and I assure you I have stayed in lots of holiday homes in our twenty years of travelling with our children!), the place was a home from home. We were able to relax from the time we arrived. There was a welcome pack and very clear and concise instructions on the equipment in the house, and clear directions to all the facilities in the local area. Enquiries to and communication with Inez and Paris were responded to promptly. Indeed our son left his camera with holiday snaps at the property and Inez arranged, to his relief and delight, to post them back to us. The property manager, Jane, was very welcoming and although we had no problems with the house, we had every confidence that were any problems to arise, they would have been dealt with immediately. The linen and towels provided were clean, high quality and fresh. Basic necessities and snacks were supplied which meant that we were not rushing out to the local store before settling in. In conclusion, the management and service provided by Inez, Paris and Jane was highly professional. This is a little gem of a house and I would have no hesitation recommending it to family and friends.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I have been living in a small apartment in Philadelphia for 7 years and when it came down to hosting my family from out of town for my graduation, I could not have picked a better place. We were all able to comfortably stay in one location together and enjoy family meals, which has been challenging with the family living in various different states. Staying at this house was a million times better than booking multiple hotel rooms downtown. My family and I were extremely pleased at the upkeep, cleanliness, and interior design of the home. Plus Inez was extremely organized and informative, which made the check-in and out process so easy and smooth. The best part was being able to host a graduation dinner celebration with a few friends and family, and avoiding the post-graduation downtown restaurant craziness. Our stay at this house has made lasting memories for my family's visit, and we are deeply appreciative.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed at this vacation house in winter 2012. Coming from California, we were at first a bit hesitant about the weather and also the location of house. But, much to our (delightful) surprise, we found this beautiful house comfortable and very cozy. Inez and Jane are wonderful human beings and we recommend this place to everyone, especially those who want to experience Philadelphia on the suburban level. A 20 min drive lies downtown Philadelphia; a 2 min drive you can find a grocery store, post office, wine store and all other kinds of shops; and a 2 min walk you can find the intercity train station, where you can catch a train to the city in 20 mins. All in all, we loved the place and would recommend it to everyone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We recently had a wonderful vacation with all the comforts of home offered in this cozy, peaceful, and beautifully appointed townhouse. The listing, photos, and information we received were accurate. The owner was very helpful, pleasant and easy to relate to; she was easily available by phone. We felt personally welcomed with snacks, bottled water, and other considerate amenities. The property was more than clean, it was tastefully decorated and accommodated a family of 6 very comfortably. Off street parking was a big plus. We enjoyed leaving the car and using the train station which is very close. It runs frequently from early morning to late at night. We enjoyed the commute to downtown Philadelphia and made an easy connection to the Amtrak train for a one-day trip to Washington DC. We would gladly repeat our stay and recommend this rental to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Dear Richard and Sherrill, Thank you so much for the kind review. We're happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay. And we certainly will welcome you back not only to Philadelphia but if you also decide to visit the Big Apple. Sincerely, Inez and Paris

This property was accurately represented by the pictures and description offered. Both the owner and the resident manager were friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and well-maintained. The only problem experienced was figuring out the SEPTA system. The train station was very convenient to the property but was somewhat complex to use.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Dear Karen, We're happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay. Sorry that the Septa System proved problematic for you. Jane came through with her surgery nicely and thanks you and your family for your prayers. When visiting Philadelphia again, we welcome your family to stay with us again. Sincerely, Inez and Jane

My husband, toddler son, mother and I had a wonderful stay at the house during our weeklong visit to Philadelphia. The home was very cozy, and everything that we needed was readily available. The furniture was comfortable, and we slept very well on the beds. The kitchen was well appointed, but a bit narrow. We appreciated the dedicated parking behind the house, as it made loading our little one into the car an easy experience. While we did not use the washer-dryer, we were glad to have access to it. The highlight of our stay was meeting Jane, the manager of the the house. She checked on us periodically, and made certain that we were enjoying our trip. She even offered to babysit on our next visit, and we will likely take her up on that! During our stay, we made several trips to the more common sightseeing locations. The house is within a twenty minute drive of most destinations, and we had easy access to grocery stores and restaurants and shopping.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Our family Wanted to stay in Philly for the 4th of July week and enjoy history! This little townhome was the perfect Gem! 10 minutes from downtown by car, 20 minutes by train and easy to access. The property manager was great to work with. Parking was easy. We found a Trader Joes close by that was easy to access. Bedrooms were perfect for a family of 4 - 2 bathrooms - girls were up and guys down, The washer dryer was a great addition. Great value, Great location, Great access to local sites.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Dear Elizabeth, We're happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay. Paris mailed you the items your teens left behind. You should be receiving them in a day or so. Many thanks for the kind review. Sincerely, Inez

My family and I (2 adults / 2 teens) stayed here for a week during our vacation and couldn't have been happier. The rental process was very easy and all our questions were answered promptly. The property was exactly as described - well furnished and well stocked. The owners and manager were extremely nice and helpful. The house was a two minute walk from a SEPTA station so sightseeing was a breeze. The neighborhood was very nice and everyone we met were polite and helpful. If you are planning to visit the Philadelphia area this is the best deal you will find. Whenever we come to the Philly area we will stay here. Safe, comfortable and affordable - it's all you could ask for.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Dear Doug, We were please that you and your family enjoyed our vacation rental. We look forward to your return to Philly and another stay with us. Sincerely, Inez, Paris and Jane
