I saw this listing in January and rented it for 6/18-25/2011. The property was as described and pictured, with ample bathrooms for the bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen, the house and grounds all clean and well-maintained. The spacious deck and Weber grill was a BIG plus. Location, location, location - hard to imagine a better spot to provide interesting attractions for families with varied ages of kids and adults. Yosemite and Kings Canyon / Sequoias are obvious, but the children's museum in Oakhurst was the unexpected gem - what a pleasant surprise, inexpensive, with plenty of exhibits for varying ages of kids. Of course, the most obvious attraction was afternoons swimming the beaches along Bass Lake. There was no shortage of great restaurant experiences - The Forks, Casa Velasco, and Crabcakes took great care of us for the four evenings that we did not cook or grill out on the deck. A very nice property for a group of 8 to 11 folks; a really great vacation experience. For 3 families converging from 3 different locations across the country, this worked.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Summer weekly rate $1750 4 of Jul week $2100 $1350 weekly off season Off season rates $225 per night with 3 night minimum Mid Sept-May, 11% Madera county tax on gross rent $150 Mandatory cleaning fee & $50 non refundable booking fee $500 Security deposit which is fully refundable as long as there is no damage or excessive cleaning required. Cancellations must be received 91 days or more prior to arrival. Less than 91 days, rent will be refunded only if we can rebook.
