  We found the apartment very clean and comfortable, and the arrangements for meeting us there to orient us to the flat and the beach club were very professionally handled. There is plenty of privacy between the two bedrooms (one upstairs, one on the ground floor, and the walkout onto the sand to the beach is delightful. The entry of the apartment is near a busy street, and street sounds are audible in the morning, but the sound proofing is well done and it remained quiet enough to enjoy meals on the patio and to sleep quite well. The unit sits tightly within a cluster of about 10 but all of the owners/renters were quiet and friendly. Plenty of freedom for kids to run around, play in the sand, swim, etc. Even some nice tennis courts within the complex just a two minute walk away! The only downsides: there are no convenient laundry services, and the ground floor bedroom has no windows (but the owner says he is planning to put some in soon). Minor inconveniences given the great location and amenities. All in all a wonderful place, and we absolutely loved St. Martin and its people.

  Owner response: A new aluminum door with louvers and screen will be installed in April 2008 in the 1st floor bedroom. Thus, this will provide for more light, flow of air and insect screen. The window in the 1st floor bathroom will also be replace to allow for more of the same features.

  This trip was fantastic, and this rental made it that much more magical! We had no complaints about the apartment at all - we thought that perhaps earlier reviews and descriptions were too good to be true, but it really was just magical.

  If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, this is it. Everything is as advertised. The property is less than 100 yards from the beach. The pool is 50 yards. On most days the pool and beach had only a handful of people using them. Satellite TV and Internet were great to have to keep in communication with what was happening at home. This was our fifth trip to St. Martin and this was one of the best properties we have rented. I would definitely recommend this property and would consider renting it again.

  Patrick's condo worked perfectly for our family. Our children, ages 24,22 and 18 enjoyed the spacious loft-like bedroom on the second floor ( with its own bathroom and deck overlooking the beach) and my husband and I had the downstairs bedroom with a full bathroom. Being right on the beach is my idea of the right location. A gated community provided peace and quiet. The weather was fabulous so we spent a lot of time on the tiled patio, including our Christmas dinner. Patrick was available by phone and internet to help with our every request.

  The unit was very, very clean and had everything that we needed. Patrick was great to work with, very responsive and provided all informtion needed. We took our dog and he loved it. This was our 7th visit to the island and 3rd time at Nettle Bay-our first in this unit and so far the best!!!!Would have no problem going back and hope to go back at Christmas.

  The property was as described, well maintained and well serviced. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone. Best restaurant visited--Le Santal.

  This is the perfect play for a family. Easy to get to from the airport. Very clean. It is close to the main road, but we rarely heard any road noise. Very close to Marigot. I do think you need a car where ever you stay in St. Maarten, as there really are no sidewalks and there is so much to see. It is directly on the beach, although i would not consider it a swimming beach. there is a small area that people were swimming at, but the sign that warned of sea urchins was enough to keep me just wading. not a problem for us, because we like to "beach hop" while in st. maarten and go to a different beach everyday. the pools are beautiful, so there is no problem staying cool. overall, it was a great experience. patrick was easy to work with. you will not find a better price. sitting here amid yet another 3 inches of snow, i could go back tomorrow!

  This was our ninth visit to stay on Nettle Bay, at what used to be a hotel called the Nettle Bay Beach Club. But, this was the first stay for our family of four in what the NBBC is now- private residences. The duplex is simple, clean, very comfortable and has all that you need for a week (or longer) stay. We had our own room and our two children, aged 14 and 11, had their own room upstairs. This gave us all a sense of both privacy and family. Our favorite place at the duplex is the private front porch that over looks the pool (warm and fabulous) to the right, then down to the beach (watch out for sea urchins- with wonderful swimming beach just to the left), and with the island of Anguilla in the distance. We enjoyed being able to make great meals or walk to the local market to get fresh French breakfast or lunch food, and look out at the beautiful Caribbean vista. The Marigot street market, on the wharf towards Anguilla (on both Wednesday and Saturday) remains one of our favorite family activities. And some of the islands best beaches, for swimming and snorkeling, are only a very short drive away. The duplex owner could not have been more warm and accommodating, and he answered all of our questions. He called to welcome us and make sure that all was well, and arranged for us to have cell phones, a cot for our son, etc.,- anything that we needed. His Saint Martin contacts, who met us with the keys at the duplex when we arrived, were also friendly and helpful and full of information. Since we first went to Saint Martin, in 1991, we have seen many changes. On our recent visit, we were a bit disheartened by a somewhat diminished island vitality and infrastructure, a fact that reminded us that even glorious Saint Martin can suffer from some of the growing pains and changing times that are also impacting the rest of the world. We have been blessed many times with the opportunity to see the most spectacular of natural Caribbean scenes, meet many warm and friendly people, and partake in wonderful food and drink. As usual for us, when we leave- we can't wait to go back.

  Le duplex de NBBC apporte repos,soleil,calme et une vue magnifique sur la mer et la baie de Marigot. L'accès libre à la piscine, sécurisé pour les enfants, est un "plus" Facilement accessible, la résidence est située près de tous les centres d'intérêt de l'île: les plages, Marigot, Philipsburg. Il est important de louer une voiture pour profiter de son séjour. L'appartement était très propre à notre arrivée. Le service d'entretient est efficace et avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de bonne humeur. Une suggestion cependant: l'installation d'un lave-linge dans le duplex,et quelques améliorations du mobilier (chaises, table, vaisselle) seraient très utiles pour les locataires. Le TASTEVIN est un excellent restaurant à Grand-Case. Il faut éviter de rouler en voiture à Marigot entre 11heures et 14heures en raison d'un grand nombre d'embouteillages. Il s'agit d'un lieu de vacances idéal que je recommanderais volontiers à mon entourage. Une excursion sur l' île d'Anguilla, en prenant le bateau au port de Marigot, permet de passer des moments agréables dans une nature plus sauvage qu'à Saint-Martin. En conclusion, nous espérons pouvoir revenir pour un séjour plus long, dans quelques temps.
