As I turned off the street to arrive at the cabin, I was absolutely amazed! I arrived in the evening when all the lights were on inside and my mouth dropped! The rooms had all the comforts of home - nothing was missing! I would definitely recommend this cabin for large groups. It's very convenient to a grocery store and to shopping in Asheville!

Spacious home slept 15 comfortably with plenty of room to spread out. Enough bathrooms to support . ladies. Well equipped kitchen. Stunning views. Will definitely consider renting again for a large group, especially in spring or summer so we can use the large deck and outside grill.

Spent a weekend in this mountain home for a girls weekend as part of a pre-wedding celebration. Well laid out home gave plenty of space for 15 women -- very clean home and well-stocked kitchen with all the supplies needed (great serving dishes!). Would definitely recommend if looking for a home to "settle in" for a cozy weekend!

Our party of 15 forty something ladies enjoyed out stay in the house very much. It rained the weekend, and hardly any of us left the house. We had plenty of space to play games, nap, find a quiet spot to nap, etc. Better weather would have increased the space in an already spacious house.

A group of girlfriends and I stayed here for the weekend, and we loved it! The house was roomy with big open areas where we could all congregate, as well as lots of rooms for individuals to get away if desired. The house had everything you could want- tvs and dvd players with a good selection of movies, comfortable beds and furniture, nice towels, comforters and linens (that looked like someone's home rather than the typical rental house items), and a well-stocked kitchen. We only left the house to take a hike up the road--- there was no reason to ever leave! Most importantly, it was spotless-- the cleanest rental I've ever stayed in. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We hope to return someday soon!!!

This house is terrific! The pictures were great on the internet but the house is even better in person. We had 15 women for 2 nights to celebrate a friend who was getting married. We had so much fun but the time was too short to take advantage of everything the house and the area had to offer. We mostly stayed at the house as the weather was rainy but that was our goal - spend time together. The house has a great layout. 5 bedrooms that sleep 15 in beds. There was an airbed but we did not even need to use it. There are two living areas - upstairs and downstairs. The porch is HUGE and has the most wonderful view even in the rain. We had a fire going in the big fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked with bowls and great plates. Towels and all linens are in fabulous shape. Everything is so clean and wonderful it was better than a resort! Book it now!

We loved this house and the area! There were a total of 5 couples staying in Mountain Haven for New Year's 2011 and we all absolutely loved the house - very open and spacious, and most of all clean. We very much enjoyed sitting out on the large deck with a fire in the fire pit. We were amazed at how well stocked the kitchen was especially since we all took turns cooking. There were items in this kitchen that I don't even have in my kitchen at home. We loved the hike up, and I do mean up, the road to the end - great exercise and the views up there were amazing. We loved the swimming pond across the road. I can imagine in summer it would be a wonderful place for the kids to be entertained. We took the short drive to Lake Lure on one sunny day and had a great time. It was a very special time for all of us and we all agreed it was one of the best homes we had stayed in. We would definitely come back to this house!

The house was clean and had everything I needed for my Vacation. The city was near and fun. There are several things to do around the house and very easy to get Asheville. I took a walk up the mountain which was very enjoyable. The view from the house was beautiful. I had a fun and relaxing time.

My whole family (5), plus siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles stayed here at this home with more than enough room for everyone. There were definitely enough bathrooms and the large kitchen made it very easy for all of us to gather. Nice deck overlooking a pond. Highly recommend this home when visiting Asheville.

Our family spent a week in this house with three other families. It was a great reunion and the house was plenty big enough for all of us. Nice size kitchen, dining/living room, and a huge deck with a gas grill, we never felt crowded. Kids enjoyed the swimming pond and swings and the TV room downstairs was nice for the kids to watch a little TV and not bother the adults. Garage allowed us to store all of our bicycles and swim gear without bringing them into the house or locking up every night. Driveway allowed for plenty of parking. Enjoyed Mt Biking at Bent Creek which was a short drive away and Mt Biked the Kitsuma Trail which was about 20 miles east. Took kids to Ripley Aquarium in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area and we took them rafting at Rafting 4 Kids in Dillsboro, NC. Great resteraunts and brewpubs in downtown Asheville, and the wifes enjoyed a day in Black Mountain, NC. The Fun Depot, which was one exit away was a nice afternoon for the kids, and Navitat Zip Line tours was a nice afternoon for a few of the adults. Owners were helpful during our stay and getting some left items to us after we left. I will recommend to a friend and hopefully will have the opportunity to return for future visits to the area.

I had the wonderful privledge to spend a week and a half in a mountain wonderland! This home feels like home but in a BIG way! We were a family group of 12 , we all had our own space and ample room to gather together! The swimming hole is great my three boys spent hours swimming and jumping off the platform. The views out of every window are beautiful and colorful. The kitchen is an absolute pleasure to cook in and well equipped. The local farmers market was not far and there is an amazing Amish Market just up the road that everyone should wander in. Molly, the golden retriever, only added to the charm being a frequent visitor whenever we were outside. We can't wait to pick a different season to visit, winter next I think!

The description said,"You immediately feel at home and relaxed, like you were meant to be here."..A bold statement, but backed up with accuracy! Our family reunion was a delight, due to the cleanliness, and all the amenities. We took full advantage of relaxing on the deck, listening to the running water from the Coy pond, and laying in the hammock, while looking at the breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We took full advantage of the spacious grill and all the accessories that were thoughtfully there for our use. At night time, the fire pit was like a magnet, as the family gathered around...Bravo, great house, more than advertised...Thank You, we look forward to returning!

Wow. Talk about perfection. This was the perfect home away from home. Went for a family 3 day vacation last weekend and this house was fabulous. It is so roomy and the main room is so spacious. The Main floor was phenomenal with a fantastic "great room" attached master bedroom was luxurious and the deck offered the perfect place to relax with a fire. The Koi pond was another great feature and from our room upstairs, it offered wonderful sounds of tranquility. The grill was great for saving on large dinners out. Its proximity to Asheville is great --only about 10-15 minutes into town and its convenient location to Ingles, a large grocery store, was another huge plus. This home is perfect for any large group say up to 15 people, great for family trips or work events or friends. Also the house is basically FULLY furnished. The pantry and cabinets are OVERSTOCKED with treats to make you feel right at home. Thanks Steve and Donna for a great stay! If anyone wants to speak with us personally ask the owners and my wife and I would be happy to provide a recommendation. Best, The Finers

I recently spent the weekend at Mountain Haven with my family, and it was absolutely perfect. The house was modern, very clean and well stocked with everything that we could need for our stay (linens, towels, fully stocked kitchen). We had a lot of people in our group (8 adults and 4 children), and the house was large enough and laid out well so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The location of the house was great as well, about 10 minutes to downtown, with a large grocery store about 2 minutes away. I couldn't recommend this house more, it was everything that we wanted and more.

In May, my family (from various parts of the U.S) and I were searching for a place to rent for a few days in Asheville to attend a wedding. My niece and I found Mountain Haven and after speaking with Steve, decided this would be the perfect accommodations for us. As May drew closer, my father’s health had deteriorated and required of few changes in the accommodations. I called Steve and he was able to assist me and assured we would have what we needed. On arrival, the place was gorgeous. It was well maintained, very clean and offered the perfect space for a large group or family. Steve arrived shortly to deliver the necessary piece of furniture my father required for his comfort. We had a wonderful time and some great memories. 6 weeks later, family and I got together once again to attend my father’s funeral. Steve, thank you for meeting our needs, your kindness allowed us to spend this precious time with each other and with our father.

This house was absolutley great. It had a very spacious kitchen and the deck was an amazing area to hang out with friends by the fire. The bedrooms were huge and had plenty of sleeping areas. The location was perfect... You're close to everything and the neighbors are far enough away to where you don't have to worry about being too loud on the deck. Good times were had by all! Thanks.

Perfect chalet for that weekend or week-long getaway. I was really impressed by the little things that make for a great stay. There was an abundance of dishes, cooking utensils, kitchen electronics, even an assortment of spices. Beautiful decks, and a setting that is close to everything but still feel like you are totally secluded. Just what we were looking for.

This mountain home has great views, with a secluded feel and every comfort of home. The home itself is beautiful inside, complete with a very generous kitchen and living areas. The master bedroom on the main floor is literally like a five star hotel room. The deck stretches all the way across the back, and the gas grill, firepit, and hammock make it a great place to spend an afternoon or evening. It's convenient to a lot of outdoors activities, and even for taking cab into Asheville as we did one night.

All the tips of places to go and places to eat were really helpful. I would definitly recommend this house to anyone who would like a relaxing and beautiful house to stay at. The K family

We were so blessed by this cabin AND the owners! Everything was ultra clean, fresh, new...the kitchen was STOCKED with awesome cooking utensils and pots and pans. The bedrooms, closets and storage was abundant for our reunion. Our children had plenty to do and the swingset and nearby pond was lots of fun! We cooked almost every meal and the large kitchen and dining area/den provided for lots of late night snacking and fellowship! The bedrooms provided just enough privacy for each family that came! I would highly recommend this spacious, beautiful cabin. It was a quiet area and beautiful views. It was so delightful walking into this warm, spacious, beautifully appointed home, and what made it even better was then walking out on the deck and seeing the mountains ahead of me, and the tranquil pond below. I knew I had arrived at a place where I could just "let down" and enjoy. One really nice thing was that with the 3 levels, none of us ever felt on top of one another, and each could enjoy their own space without disturbing everyone else. I also liked that we were just minutes from down town, the Biltmore Estate, and tons of fabulous restaurants. Steve, I really appreciated your hands on personal approach, making us feel welcomed and taken care of. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

This home is absolutely wonderful!!! We chose this home when my girlfriends and I went to Asheville for a "girls weekend". Each of us had our own elaborate bedroom and bathroom... the open, stone showers were by far my favorite part, they made you feel as though you we're at a spa! Lying by the fireplace at night while watching a movie really made us feel at home. Even though this log cabin is large, it has a very cozy feeling to it. Great location as well! Only a 10 minute drive to downtown Asheville and minutes away from great hiking trails. I absolutely reccomend this house to anyone looking for a mountain getaway! Enjoy!!!

The kids greatly enjoyed the swingset, beach, and swimming pond; spending hours on end outside playing.
