My partner and I rented this great apartment in September and had an overwhelming positive experience. It is near the Spanish Steps, but off side streets a bit. The owner was very responsive and helpful in getting us into the apartment. The owner sent a lovely assistant to let us in and advise us on the neighborhood and apartment. She even gave us a lovely restaurant recommendation for the neighborhood. The terrace is cute, you can't see much from it but its lovely to sit out on. The apartment is clean and big. Very charming home away from home. It is several flights up, but worth the climb. The decor is kinda kooky chic, but its clean and nice, and the owner was real nice.Did you find this review helpful? The apartment is best located, central, only a few steps from the Stairs, although silent at night for sleep (and the comfortable bed does the rest!)! The furniture is elegant as can be seen on the pictures. The kitchen is totally equipped. The welcome at our arrival with Rosie, the collaborateur, was very nice and we felt like coming home! Not forget to say that the spacious apartment is very clean and you have all convenience! Thanks to Luca, the landlord, for being so obliging and faithfull!! To my mind it`s the best place for having a good time in Rome - I will come back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I spent a week in this lovely apartment. It had everything we needed, and more. It is in great condition, and is very clean and comfortable. We loved the terrace, very private and a great place for a glass of wine in the evenings. The location could not be beat. We were able to walk everywhere. It is also close to great restaurants, shopping, and beautiful streets for walking. The entire rental experience went flawlessly. I highly recommend having Luca arrange the airport transfers. I cannot say enough about this place. Rent it. You won't be disappointed.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I don't have a single complaint about our stay in Luca's apartment. This was my first time using VRBO and I was initially a bit weary about the whole process but my worries proved pointless as the apartment is exactly as described. The apt. was clean, bright modern, and charming all at the same time. Location was spot on and close to everything and felt very safe. I would recommend allowing Luca to arrange your transit as it simplified the transit process and I think less expensive than catching a cab to and from the airport. Grazie mille for a great stay in Roma!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment is just beautiful. It is exactly as described and portrayed online but it is much, much bigger than we had expected so that was a huge bonus for us. It is clean, modern, tastefully decorated, lots of light and it has all the amenities that you could possibly need. We were in Rome for the marathon and after the race we had invited some friends back on our terrace for a cold beer and they were all kicking themselves for not booking this apartment. Luca is a pleasure to deal with. Total professionalism all round. He had organized mini-vans to and from the airport not only for us but also for our friends (8 people in total). His agent Rosie is also a pleasure to deal with and she was available if and when needed, at all times. Hand over of the keys was efficient and effortless and the deposit on the apartment was in my bank account by the very next morning. We will definitely stay there again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The apartment could not have been any better. Truly walking distance to every part of the city. Luca was a pleasure to work with. The apartment was clean and the amenities suited us perfectly. The terrace was the highlight of the apartment. We were able to enjoy the energy of the city right outside the bedroom/living room. Luca set up both pick up and drop off car service which was also very helpful. Everything was great and would highly recommend working with Luca and staying at this apartment.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

A fantastic apartment in a great location in Rome (minutes from Spanish Steps and shopping district and metro line/buses) but you need to be quite fit to climb the 70 steps up to it (no lift); but we are in our 60's and managed it. It is beautiful and exactly as described with a real attention to detail, good bathroom, comfortable beds, stunning lounge/diner, useful outside terrace and efficient air conditioning which we needed. Everything worked really well and the kitchen was excellent - we ate in once and had breakfast there everyday. The nearest supermarket is about a 10 minute walk but sells everything. The apartment was spotless and we would highly recommend it. We stayed as 2 couples but one couple slept on the comfortable sofa bed but had a litle lack of privacy therefore but it made it excellent value for money.Rosie was extremely helpful and all aspects went well but it was a bit of a bind to pay the deposit and get it returned by Pay Pal. Otherwise I could not fault it in any way and we certainly hope to return. We paid 15E for a taxi from Rome Termini for 4 people and 4 cases. It is very easy to get to all of Rome's main attractions by metro, bus or on foot.We slept really well as it is in a safe area and 5 floors up so we heard little street noise.Much, much better than a hotel. Thank you Lucca for all your help during the booking stage which was easy as he speaks good English.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

An excellently presented apartment, ideally located for a holiday in Rome. Luca was very helpful in dealing with our booking and any advance queries, including setting up a transfer to and from the airport - this included getting the driver to phone ahead to confirm our arrival time - ideal to have someone waiting to meet you at arrivals rather than having to negotiate either train/metro, or get a taxi. The apartment is in a safe area, one/two minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and five minutes from the Trevi Fountain. Immediately outside are some of the top name fashion shops, but you also have two mini supermarkets and dozens of restaurants within five minutes walk. The Spar supermarket has pretty much everything you might need and is open 9am until 9pm seven days per week. The apartment is on the top floor, with no lift, so would be unsuitable for anyone who has trouble negotiating stairs, but for the able bodied the steps are probably a good defence against piling on too many pounds from the tempting ice cream shops which are within easy reach. Once inside the apartment benefits from access to a balcony terrace which runs outside both the sitting room area and the bedroom. Being on the top floor gives good rooftop views and gets you away from street noise. There is ample closet space and the apartment feels spacious. We stayed for two weeks in mid August 2011 when the daily temperature averaged between 30 and 35 degrees every day - it's easy to open the two sets of doors onto the balcony and windows to get a good breeze through, to use the remote controlled ceiling fan in the bedroom and/or the two air conditioning units. The latter are ideal, as the temperature can be set by remote control and the units are very quiet, so can be left on at night if required. For news junkies the TV receives BBC World News, France 24, CNN, but there is also a good WiFi connection to keep in touch and avoid data costs. Having thrown our coins into the Trevi Fountain, we would have no reservation in booking this apartment again on our next return to Rome, or in recommending it to other users on this site.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in this very beautiful city centre apartment for nearly a week and can't say anything at all bad about it. It was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The building itself is situated within walking distance of all major tourist attractions in the centre of Rome. It is ideally located near restaurants and bars. Despite it being in a busy area, it was quite at night, inside and outside the building. If it gets too hot one can sit outside on the terrace or switch on the air conditioning and stay inside. The owner was very helpful in organising reasonably priced and very comfortable transport from the airport. The wireless internet was very handy, as there is basically no English stations on the TV, bar a couple of news channels. Highly recommended. We would stay there again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
