Location: Maggie Valley, Smoky Mountains, North Carolina, USA (Forty-five minutes from Asheville, NC in the Smoky Mountains)

Accommodations:  Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)

Keywords:  Log Cabin

This is a beautiful, Non-Smoking, log cabin home on an acre of land, situated on a rushing creek with several waterfalls right outside the door. The lot is wooded and sits at about 4000 feet elevation. It feels very private, yet is only five minutes from the main road.

There is a large covered porch running the length of the cabin overlooking the creek, with a six-person hot tub on one end. In the yard is a picnic table and steps down to the creek. The furniture is plush and comfortable, and with a woodburning fireplace and satellite television, there isn't a more cozy place.

You'll be only fifteen minutes from the quaint town of Maggie Valley, where there are several wonderful restaurants and lots of craft and gift shops, as well as gorgeous mountain views. Going the opposite direction takes you into Cherokee in about ten minutes, with gambling casinos and tourist attractions, or you can take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. In 20 minutes you can be on Main Street in Waynesville, with restaurants and shopping galore. Asheville is just 45 minutes away, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee only an hour or so.

But if you are like us, you won't want to leave the cabin! Everyone falls in love with the place. There isn't a greater get-away than the Great Smoky Mountains, and this is the perfect spot to enjoy them!

Perfect Thanksgiving

Guest: Tammy (Sumter SC)
Date of Stay: 11/22/11 Review Submitted: 11/28/11

My husband and two children (8 and 10) stayed in your cabin over Thanksgiving break. It is a beautiful cabin, your pictures do not do it justice! It was also very clean and oh so comfy. The couches were amazing, we melted right into them. The welcome basket was a very nice touch~ thank you so much! Our children enjoyed playing in the creek and walking in the woods. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the porch with our coffee. We all enjoyed our nightly dips in the hot tub~ very relaxing! We decided to make the mountains a yearly visit at least. Thanks for making our childrens first mountain trip a delightful one~ they want to move there now ;O)

The perfect mountain getaway

Guest: Steve and Row (Panama City Beach)

We shared this cabin with another couple for 4 fantastic nights. The location cannot be beat. The cabin feels like it's alone in the woods, yet is convenient to everything you want to see in western Carolina. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a mile away, with easy access to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Mount Pisgah. Asheville is a quick trip down the interstate. The fall foliage was great, and became substantially more colorful every day we were there. With a hot tub, fireplace and reclining leather sofas, the common areas were perfect. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The owner was painless to work with. I've rented quite a few places on VRBO, and this was definitely a great value and experience.

This place is awesome! My family and I had the wonderful experience of staying at this cabin just after Christmas when Maggie Valley had just had an 11 inch snowfall. The cabin was extremely comfortable and in the perfect location- both private and yet close to town. We had 6 people (the max) and we had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable, the linens were good, and the kitchen had everything that we needed. We will be coming back to enjoy this cabin in another season. Thanks for the opportunity to enjoy your lovely cabin.

Thanksgiving 2010 stay at Creekside Mountain Cabin

Guest: Tarponite75 (Spring Hill, FL)
Date of Stay: 11/24/10 Review Submitted: 12/05/10

Wanting to spend our Thanksgiving in the mountains this year, we chose Creekside Mountain Cabin and were VERY happy with our choice. The cabin is well appointed, very comfortable and has everything you need. We enjoyed the beauty of the creek, inviting fireplace and locale of this lovely cabin. We loved the fact that it was only a few minute drive from the main road, but felt very private and was quiet. We very much appreciated the Wi-fi service. Thank you for opening your lovely cabin to the public. We had a wonderful stay!

What a fabulous cabin! We didn't want to leave! Our children enjoyed playing in the creek. We used the charcoal grill to bbq, and we used the hot tub almost everynight. We were there in the summer, but it was so cool in the evenings we even lit a fire in the fire place one night. The house is adorable, super clean, and close to Maggie Valley while feeling far from anywhere. We felt very much at home while staying there, and would highly recommend the cabin to anyone! Thank you for sharing such a lovely place!

What a wonderful time my 3 sisters and I had at the Creekside Cabin. The first morning there, as I walked onto the deck about 7:00AM with my coffee, I thought for a moment I had died and gone to heaven because the morning coolness (60 degrees), the light filtering through the trees, and the creek down below, was absolutely heavenly! My sisters and I cooked porkchops and tomato gravy one night, chicken and dumplings one night, lasagna one night, and we never got to a restaurant in Maggie Valley - It was too nice at the cabin! We definitely plan a return trip! P.S. Love those sofas!

We just arrived home from our stay at this cabin. My husband didn't want to come home. The house was great, with it's hot tub and creek right outside. We slept by the sounds of rushing water every night. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds visit the feeder. The hot tub was soooo relaxing. The house was cozy. We enjoyed playing the game Life which is at the cabin. I most enjoyed the morning coffee on the porch, in a rocking chair, listening to the creek. If you are looking for a great place to relax, this is it. We will most definitely visit again as long as the Gosses continue to share their lovely cabin.
