  We recently returned from a week long stay at Bob and Lee's beautiful condo, and the unit exceeded all of our expectations! The view is INCREDIBLE! We spent many hours on the balcony looking out at the beautiful beach and watching the boaters, para-sailers, runners, walkers, and dolphins. The unit itself was exceptionally clean and spacious. We had more than enough room for our family of four, which includes two young children. The facilities, from the pool to grills, were excellent, and the location is second to none. We loved the proximity to restaurants and shops. On many nights, we walked to dinner with our children. We will absolutely return to this condo next year, and would encourage those who are considering a stay there to absolutely do it.

  Another wonderful stay. This a great condo, very clean and very nicely furnished. Perfect for me and my husband. Love the view at sunset, beach, pools and the well kept grounds. We have stayed elsewhere but always come back wondering why we did so. Look forward to another visit soon.

  We spent two fantastic weeks on Marco Island, at Robert's condominium. We loved the condo from the first moment we entered. Its surroundings are very well kept, with many lush plants. The condo is a very spacious and bright one. It was very clean when we arrived and it had everything that we could have possibly imagined we needed ( dish detergent and ziploc bags included). One of the best parts for us was the great location. Being right on the beach, it took us only a few minutes to get there. We loved the the fact that the beach wasn't very crowded. The beach is a few miles long, so we walked, ran and collected shells almost every day. There are also ski jets and kayaks for rent and a company that offers parasailing nearby. The condo also offers a fantastic view of the ocean. We spent many evenings on the lanai watching the sky and listening to the waves. We also took advantage of the swimming pool and tennis court. We really enjoyed staying at Robert's condo in Marco Island and we will definitely go there again.

  Dear Bob and Lee Ann, Just a quick word to thank you very much. Our family (including our two girls, 10 and 12) truly enjoyed Marco Island and your home. The condo is very spacious and very well maintained. It is very clean and we we're very pleased to find the condo fully equipped. We had everything we needed. We truly enjoyed the daily walks on the beach, picking up sea shells. The pools were clean and perfect. The charcoil BBQs were a lot of fun to cook with. The incredible sunsets, well, they were incredible. You provided excellent customer service(before and after the rental). We had also received the condo literature via email before we got there and were well informed when we arrived. The pictures and listing are an accurate description of this wonderful place and we would recommend it to anyone. This was a relaxing place and God willing, we will return soon.   Renting at a new location during a very busy holiday is never something I look forward to because you never know what/who to expect. This rental was our best yet! The reasons are simple: - excellent customer service from the owners (before and after rental) We even received the condo literature via PDF before we got there and were well informed. - property has a short walk to beach and facilities are well kept - all of the somerset staff, families and renters were courteous and friendly - the condo was well kept, clean and very spacious - updated bathrooms and kitchen were very nice. FIVE STAR RATING for overall experience.

  This condo is in a beautiful spot, as it's a quick, easy walk to a spacious beach. The location is wonderful. The pools were never too crowded and the perfect size for our kids. Although Somerset is a beautiful property, it is clear they're not overly welcoming to renters/families - the front office staff was even a bit rude. The unit was nice -though not well equipped (sparce on silverware, which you would not expect for a unit of this price.) Also, the listing says that beach chairs are provided - but they are not. It was a bit of a hassle to arrive and find a few broken chairs and rusty umbrellas. When asked, the owner said that most people just buy them and leave them there so it was left largely up to luck if they were there are not. Again, not what we expected for the price.

  Owner response: We are pleased that you enjoyed your time on Marco. We regret any inconvenience caused by the lack of beach chairs. In the past we had provided beach chairs and an umbrella for the use of our guests. Sadly these items tended to leave with some of our guests, and as a result we can no longer provide them, let alone guarantee their presence. These items are readily available for purchase in nearby stores at nominal cost. In fairness to most of our guests, many have chosen to purchase these items and leave them for others who follow to use.

  This was our second consecutive annual trip to Marco Island and the Somerset. Needless to say,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful property. The owners of this unit have thought of everything to make this home away from home perfect for their guests.The unit is bright,cheerful, comfortable and quiet (although we crack a door during the cool of the night to enjoy the sounds of the gulf which lulls one to sleep till dawn). The Somerset is a georgeous property having won awards this past year for it's beautiful grounds. We had the good fortune to meet the groundskeeper who gave us a tour and explained the lush vegetation throughout the grounds surrounding the complex.The beach, a few steps away, is the very best we have experienced for shelling and it changes every single day. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool daily and met great people from all over the country but like ourselves, most were friendly Snow Birds from the North enjoying their time in the sun. Great restaurants are all within walking distance. We visited the everglades, sailed the gulf and had a dinner criuse all conveniently nearby the Somerset and at reasonably prices. We are sure to be back next year when the snow blankets the Great Midwest.Until then... great memories take us to this place.

  My family stayed in the condo for a week. Everything about our stay was great. The condo and all facilities at The Somerset are immaculate. We used the pool and the tennis court daily. Our boys (8 and 5) loved the beach. Watched dolphins from the balcony, had some delicious fresh seafood from the market. Altogether a wonderful place.

  Having stayed on Marco Island on several different occasions at a hotel and absolutely loving the beaches, weather, and laid back atmosphere, we decided to rent a condo this time around and stay a few days longer. So glad we made this choice! Not only was the condo exceptionally clean, the grounds were very well maintained, 2 wonderful heated pools, 4 BBQ grills to cook the perfect steaks on, all the amenities you need, and how could I forget the breathtaking views! The owners were very pleasant to deal with and made it very easy to rent from. Would love to come back in the future!

  We have vacationed in Marco several times and rented this unit again in April, 2011 after having a great experience with the same unit Christmas 2009. The Somerset is a lovely property with lush landscaping. The unit is well appointed, with upgraded kitchen and bathrooms, and has a lot of space, with two eating areas. There are two pools and gas grills at each. The unit's location on the second floor is very convenient for a short walk to pool and beach. The beach is not crowded and clean. Abundant shelling, marine life and birds. The Marriott is about a 15 minute walk down the beach and provides additional water fun, renting paddle boats, sailboats, parasails and waverunners. The balcony is your front row seat for breathtaking sunsets every night. Numerous restaurants are a short drive or a brief walk down Collier Boulevard. Don't miss Nene's for breakfast and DaVinci's for dinner.....Fakahatchee Strand for a nature hike...Off the Hook Adventures for sailing on a 27' Catamaran and shelling for sand dollars!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  What an enjoyable week! The weather was perfect, the stress level dropped and the condo could have not been better! Loved the layout, the kitchen, the balcony with a view, the bathroom in the master bedroom with the walk in shower, and excellent lighting to put on makeup (which is lacking in even some 5 star hotels). The grounds of the facility was very well maintained, and all the employees were very friendly and willing to help with any request. Also great restaurants in walking distance. I am such a home body, but this is the first time in all my years of traveling that I was NOT ready to leave and return home. Thank you!!

  Just returned from 2 great weeks at this wonderful condo. Wide sandy beach, spectacular sunsets, two heated pools, fully stocked charcoal grills to barbeque amazing fresh fish from the island fish store. Two couples shared the condo, and the setup provides completely private bedroom and bathroom arrangements. Location is wonderful - within walking distance to bars, restaurants, shopping, movies. A terrific spot for a winter getaway to warm weather.

  Recommended for: Age 55+

  I've vacationed more than 3 times now over the past several years with my family at this unit at The Somerset. Each vacation has just been fantastic. The owners are very accommodating, the unit top notch, and Marco Island itself is a blast. This year we decided spur of the moment to venture out to Disney World for the day, which we were surprised to find an easy drive. Be sure to check out NeNe's for breakfast, and of course Snook Inn for great fresh fish.

  Everything about this Condo was exactly as described; fantastic location, incredible views, and great amenities. The Owners were a pleasure to work, given our tricky schedule travel and, and were totally professional in all of our dealings. Can't wait to come back to Marco Island for vacation next year and stay at this wonderful Condo again. Have already told all of our friends about it.

  We stayed at the Somerset property for Easter week and were blessed with a great week of 85 degree highs and no rain. The condo was comfortable and well appointed with all the things to make for a great beach week. Minutes to the beach and walking distance to many restaurants. Our advice is to go to the seafood store on Bald Eagle and cook in. Shrimp were great! Would have made life much easier to have 2 full sets of condo keys, but other than that would recommend this property to friends!

  The Somerset is a lovely, secure property located across the street from a lively shopping/dining area. Beautiful landscaping. The unit is well-equipped with many improvements noted in the baths and kitchen, as well as new carpeting throughout. Good size, very comfortable unit well-situated on the 2nd floor, convenient to surface parking, 2 pools and beach. Gorgeous beach views through glass sliding doors in LR and MBR, providing balcony access. The unit was very clean upon arrival and the cleaning company takes care of all the closing procedures, e.g., balcony furniture pull-in, sheets/towels, water heater, hvac, etc. Marco Island is our favorite FL destination with plenty to do on the beach (sail, waverunner, parasail), with abundant marine life, including conch, whelk, starfish, sand dollars, fish, dophin, shark and manatee. Many local nature preserves offer chance to encounter wildlife such as eagles, hawks, and alligators, to name a few. Great opportunies for golf and fishing nearby, as well. Naples is 30-45 mins. away for upscale shopping. Favorite Marco restaurants include DaVinci's (Italian) and Nene's (breakfast).

  We have spent a few vacations now at The Somerset - great property with resort like facilities. Views are phenomonal. This particular unit has been upgraded to the same resort standards, with new kitchen and baths as of our trip. Highly reccomended.
