Exceptional dining, shopping, golfing, and beaches are located nearby and in most cases are just a leisurely walk away. Kapaa Sands is just a few blocks away from nearby Coconut Plantation Marketplace. The complex is centrally located in the Wailua/Kapaa area along the Garden Island's Coconut Coast, just minutes from the airport.
This resort is closer to the water than any other on the island. Come enjoy the laid back tropical atmosphere, proximity to the town of Kapaa with great access to both the north and south shores of Kauai.

This is a great location from which to explore the entire island. The unit is located in a small, well-run complex. Even though there are many stores and restaurants that you can easily walk to, it seems you are staying in a quiet oasis. The management was very efficient and friendly. The pool was nice and the gardening around the entire complex was beautiful. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was exactly as described. The owner was very helpful when planning our trip. This was our first time renting a condo through a website so it was reassuring to us that we could use a credit card for payment. We were able to explore the entire island and complete 2 half-day hikes during our 5 night stay. Our trip to Waimea Canyon was unforgettable. We also took an airplane ride over the island which was pretty spectacular. The nearby Mexican restaurant and bakery were very good. Swimming in front of the condo is possible, but limited to a small area. There are many spectacular beaches close by – all free and with close parking. The walkway along the beach is very nice – we walked a section close to the town and another from a beach farther north. We would definitely rent this condo again if we are able to return to Kauai!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed here in the waterfront unit for our honeymoon. We had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kapaa Sands in Kapaa. The Unit was perfect. It literally had everything you could think of possibly need on vacation. After a few days you felt like it was your home. The unit had a full kitchen and we were able to make meals when we wanted to, pack lunches for day trips, or even blend up our own margaritas! We watched the waves from our bed and fell asleep them crashing on the shore. The location was ideal. Walking distance to good restaurants, walking trails, the beach, and grocery stores. Kapaa is a quant little community situated about an hour and half from either end of the Island, making it very accommodating for travel and exploring Kauai. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time staying at this condo ( unit 12 ) . The view of the eastern shore of Kauai is beautiful. We would sit out on the lanai and be less than 35 feet from the ocean. On that beach directly in front of the condo you can find sea turtles. On my very first outing I swam with two sea turtles. The condo is well appointed and perfect for a couple. There is also a kidney pool that is well maintained and at least while we were staying was never crowded. Since there are so few units here, you feel like you have the place to yourself. Neighbors were quiet and respectful. Within walking distance ( say about 1 short block ) you can find a little shopping center that has a very decent Mexican restaurant, 2 bakeries with excellent goods, a gas station , and other shops. Also about a 3 block walk is the Coconut marketplace. Although I should say that the Coconut market place seemed to be in transition while we were there as more than a few shops were closed. The overall location of this condo is ideal. 5 minute drive to Kapaa. 15 minute drive to airport. For a better beach experience walk one block south past the gas station and there is a perfectly sandy ( you will not find one rock ! ) beach. I forget the name but its the beach in which the Wailue river flows into.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We've been to Oahu, Maui and now Kauai and this was probably the best place we've ever stayed in. Beautiful in everyway and a place that you can't believe you are living in. The ocean surf was very close by, but we loved to hear the ocean morning, noon and night. All the comforts of home and the maids that came by every other day did a great job! We hope to be back very soon, we discovered the island and know where we like to go. This is a prime location with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Luau's, waterfalls, ocean views, green jungles, sandy beaches a true Hawaiian experience. We were so sad to leave, no more Waikiki beach for us.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We are within walking distance to the Coconut Marketplace with its many shops, restaurants, and night clubs. The Kauai bicycle path is under construction and will pass in front of the resort complex providing miles of beach view access to walk, bike, or skateboard along. It is currently complete just south of the resort as well as a mile north. There are 2 supermarkets and a variety of snorkel and dive shops within a mile as well as many fine restaurants.
