  We liked everything about this place and the Key Largo area. The house is set up very nicely and is extremely comfortable. Owners are easy to deal with and not picky in any way. Very very comfortable

  My husband and I were there for a month.. We had never stayed in an RV before and it was roomier than expected. The listing description was accurate in all respects. No hype. No unkept promises. Everything was clean when we arrived. The screened in patio had a TV and we ate out there often after cooking on the grill. We didn't use the loft but children would have loved it. The heated pool was great. Within biking or walking distance was a strip mall with a Publix a Bealles and a K-Mart as well as other shops and a library. There were fruit and vegetable stand also in walking distance. The Calusa grounds were nice -always a breeze. On several occasions we were able to watch the Manatees swim in the canal. Calusa is a gated community and we felt safe and secure the whole time. Key Largo has several really good restaurants. My favorite was Hobo's but the Fish House and Sundowners were also good. We will be back.

  This was our first visit to the Florida Keys.We had great weather for three month.The place had every thing we needed.We used the kayak and bicicles a lot and enjoyed the heated pool every day.Our visiting grand daughter played tennis and had a lot of fun.We hope to come back some day.

  HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! WEBSITE CLEARLY SAYS SLEEPS 7. WHEN I REQUESTED OUR STAY I TOLD CHRIS 3 MAYBE 7 PEOPLE .... NOTHING MENTIONED WHEN HE COLLECTED OUR MONEY. BUT WHEN WE WENT TO CHECK IN WAS TOLD WOULDNT FIT 7 PEOPLE(BY CHRIS). VERY SMALL PLACE! CAMPGROUND WOULD NOT ALLOW ANY GUESS TO COME IN AND OUT TO VISIT, MADE THEM PARK OUTSIDE AND WALK IN! OFFICE STAFF VERY RUDE!!! WE RENTED A BOAT AND OFFICE GAVE US NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS AND THREATED US ABOUT THE BOAT BEING TOWED AFTER 48 HRS!

  Owner response: When this guest inquired about our home, she told us 3 people would be staying. 2 days before check-in, she mentions that it would be 7 people. We explained that the rate she was given was for 3 people and not 7. After we were misled, we still allowed 7 people to stay in our home for the same rate. They explained they had a wedding to attend and didn't have any where else to stay. It is a small 1 bedroom & loft mobile home, but comfortable. This is mentioned in our general info. After we went out of our way to accommodate the extra 4 people we weren't told about, they tried to bring in a boat without notifying us or our property manager. The property manager only explained that boats are welcome with proper notification. Calusa Resort does allow visitors. Visitors check-in at the front office where they are given a visitors pass. Calusa is a gated community. These procedures are put in place for everyone's protection. We were very disappointed to read this review after we made every effort to accommodate them.

  We arrived a day late, and had a bit of trouble getting in through security. Our party was 5, so we found it a little small, but it was fine, because the weather was great and we spent most of the time outdoors. Thanks for a great stay!

  This is my first time renting a place for vacation and it was great. My wife and four kids went down for a week and had a great time. When my kids walked into the unit they were so excited there was a loft a nice size master suite and very clean nice size bathroom for the unit. Kris was great and very accommodating and the people at Calusa were very warm and friendly. I felt comfortable having my kids walk around and everyone I met was friendly. Will be back.

  Stayed here March/2011 with family of 6. The trailer was spotless and very well maintained. Lots of activities, small park, basketball courts and close to John Pennecamp. Short walk to incredible sunset views. The (4) kids had a blast. They cant wait to come back next year

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.

• Island paradise!

  Spent a week here and loved it! The place is immaculate and everything you need is already here (kayak, golf cart, etc...). The marina is a very short walk and the sunset view is breath taking. The owner of the property is also a back country fishing guide. We negotiated a small fee for a day charter and caught some huge fish (both redfish and snook). The kids loved it and were blown away on all the animals they saw and fish they caught. Captain Kris really did a good job. Something both the serious angler or family can enjoy. All in all, my family loved it and we plan on going back next year!!!

  I enjoyed my stay very much. The sunsets were spectacular. The private marina is a short walk. The home was immaculate and I will be returning next year.
