This condo is the ultimate in ski trip enjoyment. Located in the 3rd floor of the popular Eolus building you have beautiful views of the mountains and look down at the ski village where you can watch the skiers and snowboarders coming down the hill.
Our guests’ favorite feature is the private Jacuzzi tub. This large Jacuzzi tub sits on a private deck just outside the living room. It will hold 4 very comfortably but there is room for more. You will be experiencing the relaxing Jacuzzi jets combined with the crisp Colorado mountain air. Nothing is quite like it after a day on the slopes.
This unit has its own covered parking space in the first level of the building with an elevator nearby. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with a full bath and a large walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed, 2 bunkbeds, a 50' flatscreen TV and full bath with walk-in shower. There is a gas grill on the balcony and a wood-burning fireplace in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, oven and stove, a dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, cooking utensils and dishes.

I did not want to write this review out of personal selfishness I do not want this location over booked, I need open dates for myself! Everything from the initial conversations with the owners to the physical location, to the beautiful amenities. The inside was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 1 teen, we easily had room for more. The complete inside was nicely decorated from furniture to all the kitchen tools. The view overlooking the ski lifts was only made better by the hot tub. The ease and ability to to get to lifts, bars and restaurants could not have been better. I have used VRBO for a number of trips and this was probably my best experience to date! See you all next year : )Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Jim and Ginny (owners) were very easy to work with. Prompt in getting back to all of my emails and questions and quick return on the security deposit. The condo itself was great for our family (2 adults and 6 kids ages 8-13). The private hot tub was nice as was the grill and fireplace. Just down the steps from the condo is the condo building heated pool and 2 more hot tubs. The activities at Durango Mtn Resort were fun and so much other acitivies within a short drive made for great day trips- Silverton, Ouray, Animas Forks, Durango, Mesa Verde and more! We made most of our meals at the condo and made use of the washer and dryer quite often which was great for drying out swimsuits and washing towels etc. Thank you so much!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

My husband & I stayed in this condo for a week & absolutely loved it! The condo itself is like a home away from home! It has everything you could possibly need - from kitchen stuff to towels/linens to comfy furniture - to a hair dryer. Everything was very clean, well-maintained & organized. We loved the amazing mountain views from the condo & the resort in general. One of our favorite early morning & late afternoon routines was watching the cute marmots play right outside the balcony. The hot tub was a great & relaxing amenity also. The condo location is excellent - with mountains all around - breathtaking views! We did several day tours & had very easy access to everything we wanted to do. Purgy's was a great place right there at the resort to get dinner, etc. The Durango/Silverton train is a must for all travelers. It was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Mary & Tom! Everything was as beautiful as the pictures.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

The last time I skied at Purgatory, this property and the rest of the base complex did not exist. First of all, the mountain was all I remembered; wide-open and fun to ski. This is why I brought the family, because living in Virginia, we don't ski enough to tackle much advanced terrain. As far as the condo, my wife & I agreed that this was the best set-up we have ever had for a ski vacation. Starting with the covered parking, the spot was literally steps from the elevator, and then just a few more to the unit. Nice benefit with lots of ski gear. Arrived late? No problem, the owners allow you to check yourself "in". The unit is warm, comfortable and well-furnished. Look out the back porch to lifts 1, 4, and 6. Walk down two short flights of stairs (there is ski storage is at the top of the stairs) and you are starting your day. Quit at 3 pm and bask in late afternoon sun on the back deck watching the mountain. Soothe your aching muscles in the hot tub on the side deck, or grill a steak on the same deck. The owners are very easy to work with as well. We drove around the base area scouting for a place for next year, and could NOT find anything we would rather have rented. I'm sure there are larger, newer units, but none more convenient. Thanks, Ginny & Jim!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks so much for reserving our condo Paul. Please let us know when you visit Durango again. We offer nice discounts to repeat guests and will do whatever it takes to earn your business. Jim and Ginny

Why the Owner Chose Eolus:
We spent our vacations searching for the perfect ski condo at the perfect resort looking in Nevada, California, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. After 15 years of searching, we decided on this condo. Durango Mountain Resort offers everything we were looking for. Beautiful mountains, minimal lift lines, numerous trails with a good combination of beginner, experienced and advanced trails. And Eolus 319 was our #1 choice in condos offering a superb location in the uppermost building that overlooks the ski village, has covered parking, is beautifully decorated and has its own private hot tub. The abundance of mountains lakes, rivers and creeks nearby and loaded with trout were an added bonus.
