Soaring Eagle Lodge is a platinum-rated condominium complex located on Snowshoe Mountain West Virginia. It’s the newest, highest-rated accommodations on the mountain. Our stylishly appointed, 2 bedroom luxury condo has over 1100 sq. ft. of comfortable living space. It features a king bed, separate shower and garden tub in the Master Suite; Spacious open plan living/dining room, a gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar, and a wonderful view of mountain and terraced courtyard. For your added convenience our unit is also fully equipped with a sleeper sofa, gas fireplace, washer and dryer, large bathrooms, and plenty of closet space. The kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and is completely stocked for cooking and dining in. Wherever you are in this stylish unit you will enjoy a beautiful view over the terrace and down the mountain.
We purchased our unit in fall of 2010 and refurbished it 100% for the needs of a big family. We’ve made upgrades over the builder package including: Full-over-Full bunk bed for greater sleeping options; a larger 6-person dining table to comfortably sharing family meals together; and larger 37' & 32” flat panel televisions in the living room and Master Suite with DVD/Blu-Ray Players. You can even access your internet based movie service like in the living room.
We've added even more this summer. Bring your Wii, Playstation, or gaming console for the second bedroom...it has wall mounted flatscreen to create a gaming area for the kids. Or leave the consoles at home and your kids have a quiet place to read between the slopes and dinner.
Not in the mood for cooking? A new restaurant is going in just down the hall from our unit. Like Embers, we expect it to be unmistakably the most upscale urban restaurant on the mountain, yet remains a casual and family-friendly treat. Following dinner, you'll find one of the most relaxing settings on the mountain in Soaring Eagle’s exclusive hearth room which boasts two stone fireplaces, plenty of comfortable seating, a new 65” flat screen LCD television, family games, and a wine bar. A secure, underground heated parking garage, heated sidewalks leading to one of three secluded oversize hot tubs, a sauna, and complete fitness center round out the additional amenities you will find only at Soaring Eagle Lodge.
Now for the real reason you want to come here…the slopes! Here you will find a mile high ski elevation that you can drive to from the Mid-Atlantic, the deep south, the Ohio valley, & all points in between. Snowshoe Mountain averages over 180 inches of annual snowfall. Snowshoe has 100% snowmaking capability to packed power-like conditions and is rated #1 Resort in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Soaring Eagle Lodge guests enjoy ski-in, ski-out accommodations via the Soaring Eagle Express. This high-speed detachable quad lift will have you exploring Snowshoe in just minutes. At Snowshoe you can access 60 trails for all ability levels, 6 lifts, and 1500 feet of vertical drop. Our unit comes with two designated lockers near the slope for ski equipment. You need only travel to the lower level to access convenient ski rentals at Elk River Ski and Snowboard Rentals where Soaring Eagle Lodge guests receive a 10% discount on all ski equipment.
A shuttle stop is located in front of the Lodge giving you easy access to Snowshoe Village where you will find shopping, more restaurants, Split Rock Pools, tubing, and the Big Top arcade and gaming complex.

Just returned from four nights at this condo. Everything is exactly as advertised, super clean, and super nice. I will be sure to contact Harvey for our next trip to Snowshoe. Our family of four had plenty of room, not only for sleeping, but we could also stretch out in the living room and had plenty of dining space. Two ski lockers provided enough space for all of our gear. Plenty of closet/dresser space as well. Things you may not pick up from the listing or photos: It's a first floor unit, which means easy access to the Lodge's hearth room, a great place to spend some time in the evenings. The elevators seem to 'park' on the first floor, so they were always ready when we pressed the call button. One flight down to the hot tubs, garage, and ski lockers - very convenient. The Lodge was practically empty when we were there, so there was not much noise from the floors above. Hot tubs were great, we used them every day. Covered parking was a huge hit, we got up to 6" of snow each day (in late March!!!), and our car was easy to unload/load and drive away. Equipment rentals are right next to the garage, and you get a discount for staying at the Lodge. Lift tickets are available a short walk to the next building. You might want to bring the following: a wireless router (wired internet provided) and measuring cups. The unit was in "move in" condition on our arrival, so don't count on leftovers like foil, paper towels, salt & pepper, etc. Oh, and a note to Snowshoe newbies: I previously thought the roads to Snowshoe were regularly plowed during storms, We traveled up 219 from Lewisburg during a storm and it was treacherous until we got to Marlinton, several cars had spun out and we were sliding all over. From Marlinton to Snowshoe the roads were more snow packed, which provided a little better grip. Allow 3 hours on 219. Please travel safe.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

It will be tough to stay anywhere else! You'll first realize you made a great decision when the door to the heated garage starts to go up. This unit is well appointed, clean and very comfortable for our group of 5 adults. Extra tall ceilings (12'+) make the unit seam very large. We took full advantage of the locker room, ski-in/ski-out, hot tubs, sauna & fitness center. I must also mention all of the building staff we encountered where very helpful and friendly. Thanks Harvey!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Wonderful place. Unit had all the amenities, was clean, large rooms, 12' ceilings, everything in the unit was just right. I was there with my wife and 4 teenage girls. Lots of room for all of us. The girls would head off to the hearth room where there is 2 huge fireplaces and socialize with the other kids in the lodge. The 3 hot tubs are awesome. sauna was nice. We travel to Aspen/Snowmass annually - and this unit was far better than any ski in/ ski out we have stayed at Snowmass village with comparable price per night. Owner is very accommodating. We will be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Really enjoyed our stay in this condo. Spacious with great amenities. We had 3 adults, but there was plenty of room for more if needed. The building is the nicest on the mountain, and the indoor parking makes loading and unloading much easier. Highly recommend this condo.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our stay in this condominium was fantastic and we will definitely return in the future. We stayed for three nights with two children and thought that the condo was a perfect size. The second bedroom is a nice set-up for kids and they loved being able to play their Wii in their room. Unfortunately, the mountain closed a week early so we did miss a day of skiing but we loved the convenience of being able to come in for lunch on the days that we did ski. The only negative of the condo is that there is not a large selection of cookware such as casserole dishes or cookie sheets, so if you plan to cook your meals in, make sure to bring what you might need. Harvey was easy to work with and we definitely plan to be back next winter.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our last 4 ski vacations have been to Snowshoe and this was our 3rd time staying at Soaring Eagle. The accomodations were excellent for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teen-agers). This unit and it's wonderful, very accomadating owner culminated in our most favorite and best winter vacation to date. I highly recommend this condo. I hope we will be able to return next season and if so, will definately stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We recently stayed 2 nights at Soaring Eagle (VRBO 329132). I can say that communication with Harvey was exceptional and the resort is absolutely incredible. Many locations at Snowshoe offer somewhat "dated" furnishings and very small condos that feel cramped. This unit is VERY large for a 2 bedroom and has great high ceilings to make it feel incredibly open. The heated underground parking and slope side lockers are also a serious benefit to staying at Soaring Eagle. There are 3 huge hot tubs just steps outside the doors and the convenience of a first floor unit makes access to everything quick and easy. I will certainly be staying here again and tell you that if you are considering other locations...STOP and just rent from Harvey! Bravo A+++. Soaring Eagle is a lovely lodge, upscale, secure and well designed. This unit is just perfect. Very clean and spacious, it has an urban lodge feel. The unit is decorated tastefully and it's clutter free. View of hot tubs and mountains in great. Owner is very professional and uber responsive. Check in process at lodge was simple, and on site concierge was helpful in getting acclimated. Would not hestitate to rent this unit. This was our first experience using VRBO and we were very happy.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This unit really exceeded our expectations. My wife doesn't ski, so she was concerned about having a unit that would be a pleasant place to stay during the day. Both the Soaring Eagle complex and this unit provided everything we needed and things we hadn't really expected, such as the easy transition from car to ski lockers and to our room. The owner was extremely helpful, communicating quickly by email and ensuring we were checked in and doing well. Cleanliness of the unit was immaculate, and the concierges and valets for the entire complex extremely helpful throughout our trip. We will be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
