Year Purchased: 1999
We both retired in 2009 and are enjoying travelling, first to Israel for 2 weeks as our retirement gift to ourselves, then Pigeon Forge, TN and New Orleans for Halloween with our daughter. Back from 2 weeks in Italy in 2011. Planning trips to Alaska & Australia in the near future. We've been married for almost 44 years. Yes, she was a child bride. I'm an Air Force veteran with a BS in Economics and Bus. Ad. We're actively involved in our church and community. We enjoy volunteering, helping those less fortunate than us and so we stay busy. Not sure how we had time to work!
Why the Owner Chose Summertree Village
We purchased this unit in 1999 as an investment. My wife convinced me that MB was where we needed to be. Summertree was in a great location and we got a good deal, purchasing direct from the previous owner. We love the close proximity to the ocean and the shopping (she). We completely renovated it in 2008 and hopefully can use it more now that we are retired.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
There are so many shows and events going on year round at MB. We enjoy the wine festivals and art in the park shows. We also enjoy "NOTHING" (doing nothing, that is)! Just getting out of the house and relaxing is great. There are so many great restaurants to sample and so little time. We sometimes get stuck on our favorites: Hamburger Joe's, Bimini's or Crab Catcher's at Little River and don't get to try them all. But we can always come back, right?

Thank you so much for the use of the condo. It rained for 2 out of our 4 days at the beach. So, having a covered pool and an extremely clean place to park our family, was wonderful. Thank you!
