This light, spacious and airy studio is located in sunny Kihei, just two blocks from a 5 mile long serene white sand beach. Minutes away are many more of Maui’s most beautiful swimming and snorkeling beaches.
The 12 foot ceilings, cool tile floors and plumeria scented tropical breezes make this studio a fresh and relaxing getaway. It is decorated with fine prints from local artists, teak and wicker furniture. Sliding glass doors open onto a garden area in the back, a perfect place for a quiet breakfast. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. There is a king-sized bed in an alcove off the main room, and a fold-out sofa in the living room for additional guests. For larger groups there is also a house available.
We have many recreational extras, like bicycles, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, tennis racquets, beach umbrella, coolers, chairs and other beach gear.

Year Purchased: 1999
Ann started her first vacation rental in 1993 the small town of Arcata, in Northern California. Over the years she expanded to her home on Maui, and another studio in Arcata.
Her daughters, Elly and Mary, have helped her design, furnish, decorate and manage her vacation homes. When not working on their vacation homes they enjoy traveling, hiking, backpacking, and rafting.
Sharing their vacation homes has been a rewarding experience, with interesting and lively guests from all over the world.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We started traveling to Maui around 1990 and discovered for ourselves the amazing, clear turquoise water that was so often calm and tranquil on the south shore. Swimming with turtles, snorkeling and ocean kayaking along the coastline wasn't something we wanted to miss out on. We explored almost every winter, until we found the perfect house in 1999. North Kihei is close to all the great beaches on the South Shore, but also close to get around to Lahaina, Kahului and Iao Valley.
The Unique Benefits of this Studio
This studio is in a prime location, close to the beach, but tucked back at the end of a long driveway. It feels private, but is only a short walk down to the beach. It has lots of beach gear for you to enjoy!

Hi Elly; I just wanted to write you a quick note to tell you that we had a wonderful time in Maui and especially enjoyed the studio. The beach is so beautiful and so close; we went for long walks on the beach every morning and spent quite a bit of time playing in the water. I think we traveled every road possible except the road from Kahului, Hwy 340. We'll save that for next time, Bill is already planning our vacation in Maui next year with my sister and her husband. Maybe we'll be able to rent your upstairs unit. Anyway I want to thank you again for all your help and advice on the places to see. You are so lucky to have such a beautiful place to call your home away from home.

Hi Elly, We've just got back from Maui and have come back to earth with a thud! Your place was great and suited what we wanted. It was quiet and peaceful and well equipped. We spent a lot of our tiime snorkelling and really liked Ulua beach. We visited Hana, saw the sun rise at the crater, drove from the north down the west coast, took a boat trip out to Molokini and snorkelled. Chris also went diving. Really enjoyed eating at Pita Paradise in Kihei. Johnny and Christine the owners were lovely. We also went to Mamma's Kitchen on our last night... yum! Dear Elly, We so enjoyed our stay at your studio in Kihei. Everything we needed was there. . . Coffee maker, hot shower, kitchen, T.V. with VCR and only a few blocks to the beach. We did walk down one evening to "bob" in the water & watch the local kite boarders & wind surfers. We were also close to two supermarkets, Starbucks & the Hapa Club, where we danced to the wonderful music of Willie K (I have two blisters to prove it!). The location was central for us, convenient to Makawao, Haleakala, Paia, LaHaina, Ma'alaea Harbor (wonderful aquarium!) and Kahului, where we saw a photo exhibit of rare & endangered plants & wildlife at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Easy trek to airport . . . We couldn't have been happier. Of course, having a zippy convertible was part of the fun of getting around. Again, many thanks for great accommodations - very quiet & convenient & clean.
