We were wondering if we would ever be able to spend our week at the "Destiny" after Isabel. Fortunately, we were able to get into the house just two days behind schedule. The house and all the accomodations were perfect. My favortie spots were the hot tub and swing on the middle porch. It was so relaxing to read my book while swinging or just sit there and meditate. The loft was another favorite spot. We live in upstate New York (Catskill Mountain). We had a long, hard winter last year and are expecting the same this winter. During the cold, blustery days I will remember the wonderful time we had here with our best friends.

Three thirty something brothers with wives and children all (well one is in the oven) at mom and dad's invitation have gathered for a week's reunion and relaxation. This house has proven a very comfortable resort, conducive to mutual shared recreation and privacy alike, so that we brothers and families have been able to reflect back on many happy years together, then apart, and our children's generation inherits our family history even as they make their own. Dear ol' dad is sorely missed having stayed home for health reasons, but he is in our thoughts daily and most of all in the legacy we live - this week in luxury. All twelve of us compliment the owners on their taste and conscientious maintenance of this fine home. It's been wonderful, and we took full advantage of every feature. The weather's been perfect all week, yet we chose the shade and comfort of indoors to blend with breeze, sun and surf from time to time. We certainly felt we would have been content to stay inside all day in case of rain with every option or group of personalized entertainment. My sister-in-law Sue sought out just such a vacation home and chose very well indeed. Should we decide to gather again in this part of the country we would be very happy indeed to return to Destiny in Avon, NC.

Destiny was a wonderful "home away from home". We loved the pool and hot tub, since it rained everyday and we only went to the beach one day out of 7. We have been coming to the OBX since '95 and have only had one day of rain each week every year - except this year! However, having our 81 yr old mother, brother from San Diego, 2 sons and their fiances' and us made it a week to remember! Very relaxing and peaceful. Your house is beautiful and we hope to return after two weddings next year.

"Destiny" is a great vacation home. We had a fantastic vacation! We feel the comforts of your beach home has made us feel right at home! We have been coming to the OBX for the last 14 years and this is the cleanist, best landscaped and best equipped rental that we have stayed in. We enjoyed the pool tremendously. You have a very nice home here. Thank you for sharing it with us. After 8 years of coming down, I think we finally found the perfect house. The pool came in handy for the kids. They all loved it. They ranged in age from 8-13. It was great to have it on the days we couldn't get to the beach (weather). I would like to congratulate you on building your dream home. Maybe someday we'll do the same.
