Stunning New Loft Apartment @ Depot Row, Bay St Louis
- Minimum stay:3 nights

The Loft @ Depot Row is newly constructed with all modern amenities. It is in a row style building opposite the historic L&N Railroad Depot in Old Town. Adjacent buildings date from the 1870's when the Depot District was the 'downtown' of Bay St Louis. Now the District is known as the cultural, dining and entertainment district of the Bay. Depot Row is a walk-able, quaint area of eclectic mom & pop shops fronted by wide sidewalks and patio seating. It is conveniently located 2 blks from the Beach and Old Town gallery/arts district.
The spacious 1,000 sf Loft has high 16' ceilings and whitewashed wood floors, It is constructed of energy efficient insulated concrete form (ICF) maintaining comfortable temperatures year round. 6' ceiling fans lend drama to the stunning architectural features.
Furnishings are a mix of modern and antique in keeping with industrial loft conversions in cities such as New Orleans. A 'cook's kitchen' with granite countertops makes entertaining a breeze. The open floor plan is divided into a sleeping and living area. A center module (bath, kitchen and laundry) separates the areas. It is comfortable for a couple while allowing guests to sleep on a modern fold-out king bed in the living area.
The Loft has recently returned to the market following a seasonal corporate rental.

The first words that comes to mind are AWESOME, Unique, Clean and Relaxation. I surprised my wife by taking her to the loft for her 45th birthday and she just loved it. She fell in love with it. Nestled in the middle of the charming community of Bay St. Louis, the loft is just a couple of blocks away from the beach and just a few miles from a Premium Outlet Mall and several other small and unique shops. One morning we drove to New Orleans for a short visit, but we were glad to get back to the loft to relax and enjoy each others company. The owner Linda Lou is so nice and is full of information concerning Bay St. Louis and the surrounding area. There is a full kitchen just in case you want to go purchase some fresh seafood and stay home and eat. Our favorite place to eat was Cuzs Seafood and Poboys. Be sure to order a Shrimp Poboy and an order of Frickles (fried pickles). Bring some books to read and just get ready to rest, relax and become a part of a neat small town commune. I would recommend staying at the loft and then traveling to New Orleans or Biloxi. You are close enou to enjoy what the larger cities have to offer but can then come back and just relax. Do not miss an opportunity to stay at the loft.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: We enjoy and appreciate all of our guests. Bay St Louis is truly a well-kept secret and wonderful get away.

We stayed in this nice loft for about 2 months when we relocated to the area. This loft is in a great location at the Depot, near restaurants and the BSL Little Theater, and only a minute away from Old Town BSL and the beach. The oceanside drive is beautiful all the way to Biloxi. The area has been revitalized and is beautiful. The owners are very warm and welcoming, and supplied us with area information to make our stay fun and interesting. We enjoyed getting to know them. Adding to the ambience is the sound of the trains going by. The loft is spacious and furnished very comfortably. The listing photos really reflect the loft. We enjoyed our stay! J & JRecommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: After years living in New York, Los Angeles and Miami Beach, I looked for a laid back, artsy beach community to retire. I had worked in the music industry for over 20 years and wanted to be near live music, art, performance, and theatre. Bay St Louis fit the bill perfectly. My love of the community and surrounding areas including New Orleans was unabated by Hurricane Katrina. Instead, I moved forward and built Depot Row, an extension to the 1870's stores that comprised the original downtown of Bay St Louis. My vacation Loft is opposite the historic L&N Depot. It reflects a 'big city' lifestyle but is also hearkens to the days when Mom & Pop lived above their store. Here, with my husband, we are enjoying our newly married life in The Bay.
Why the Owner Chose Bay St. Louis:
I constructed the Depot Row project in the Depot District because I envisioned the District as the cultural, dining and entertainment area of Bay St Louis. This historic area of Old Town has been reborn with charming street renovations, sidewalks, lighting and landscaping. A new Community Center opened to rave reviews, the Bay St Louis LIttle Theatre saved a historical building and shows are sold-out . More events and businesses are on the way. It is great to be in the heart of so much positive energy and fun activities.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I love the 'walkability' of Depot Row. Within minutes I can go to the beach, shop in Old Town, enjoy live theatre, eat po-boys, enjoy steaks, fine dining and more. The Duck Pond is a huge hit, attracting kids of all ages. This is a neighborhood of new and old, where we all share the history of Bay St Louis; where we all create history for years to come.
