There is not much to add to the existing reviews...other than our gratitude and just accolades. The apartment was the perfect place for our visit to Seville and Rocio was an extremely attentive and accommodating host....even with a family emergency. We also loved being in a real neighborhood with its local color and non-touristy shops, bars and restaurants. The apartment was very clean and exactly as described and shown. For us the most important points when selecting accommodations are location, space, strong wifi and an in-house laundry is a big plus. This apartment met and exceeded all of our needs and expectations and we do not hesitate recommending it to others. In addition to all the information Rocio provided...the website www.seville-traveler.com was helpful. Thank you Rocio and we look forward to our next visit and sharing some tapas.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Dear Barbara and Michael, I would like to thank you not only for your wonderful review, but for your valuable advise and words of encouragement during difficult times. I am so looking forward to catching up properly next visit and going for some tapas. Warm regards, Rocío

I have no idea why it has taken me so long to write this positive review. I guess I got too busy. We stayed in this apartment for a month in May/June 2011 and loved every minute. For a long stay like ours (me and my husband) it's important to have enough room and the apartment fit the bill. And for a small apartment, it's so cleverly furnished that it felt big. We loved living in a real neighborhood and got to know some of the local shop owners. I can't say enough about the wonderful Rocio - a perfect host!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car.

Rocio,s apartment on San Luis in the Macarena neigborhood was perfect for us. The apartment is immaculate and has all that we needed, extremely well thought out and comfortable. Best of all is Rocio, the most helpful hostess you could ever hope for, beginning with early plans to meeting us and being available at all times for questions and providing great recommendations. The Macarena neighborhood has great charm and a very authentic feel, with friendly residents, away from the tourist rush, but with plenty of trendy restaurants and shops around. Central Seville is quite walkable and the neighborhood pleasant to come back to after touring around. If you want to get to know the feel of real life in Seville, not just postcard life, this is a great place. A wonderful daily market and other groceries quite nearby and two or three highly recommended restaurants, Borear on Alameda and Contenedor right on San Luis. The bed was very comfortable, cable tv with radio a nice plus, charming apartment. Trust Rocio to be your angel of a guide to Seville. Hi, We spent a week here and cannot say enough great things about the apartment, its convenient location, and Rocio! The apartment was exactly as pictured and spotless. the building is very will maintained and everyone is pretty private and polite. Rocio has kept everything well stocked in the apartment and there is a lot of information about tours, visiting nearby areas and how to get around. Rocio was a great asset and helped connect us with transportation and other needed info. I would highly recommend and would rent again.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We were inventing our holiday in Spain as we went along and with little notice we emailed and then spoke to Rocio who was very helpful giving us instructions on how to get to the apartment from the train station. This was all easy as she speaks very good English. She was there waiting for us as arranged and helped us settle in. The apartment is newly renovated and is just like the photographs. Photo's never show dirt - but if they could you wouldn't see one speck of anything anywhere in this apartment. It has everything one could want and feels like a home not a rental. The little touches like washing powder and some snacks in the fridge, a responsive/effective wifi and a comfortable bed made it a pleasure to be there. The apartment is in the old part of the city not far from the wall and the ring road that runs around the edge of the city. Despite being in the middle of everything the apartment is very quiet as it is within the complex and away from the road. It is easy to walk to just about anywhere from the apartment (provided you have a map otherwise you will get lost). Nearby is a Mercato (market) - selling fresh produce including meat, fish and fruit and veg; which was ideal for home cooking. We loved the fresh fish which was costing us about E8 kg which at home in Australia would have cost us E60 kg. Sevilla seems to be a city that travellers often skip in favour of other places - we were please we included it and found lots to see and do in our 4 days there. The Alcazar and the Plaza de Espana are both not to be missed. Thanks to Rocio and Sevilla for their contribution to a wonderful 4 weeks in Spain. We highly recommend both the apartment and the city.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Hi Rocio, Just want to thank you for meeting us, the nice bottle of wine and cheese, the tips about Sevilla and for helping make our visit here so pleasant and enjoyable. Really enjoyed Sevilla, we never made it to Cordoba or outside Sevilla so we'll have to come back for another visit. The apartment was perfect for our stay and we enjoyed being able to walk everywhere but also the local tapas bars. Take care, Remy, Kevin & NathalieDid you find this review helpful? Rocio's apartment in old Sevilla was just the ticket for our visit in June 2011. It is equipped with everything you need except food (and there's even enough coffee/tea to get you started. Plus wine and cheese for the first evening). Then Rocio tells you the best spots to find food nearby: bakeries, markets, fruiteries, restaurants. Okay, so it's a bit of a hike to the Cathedral and Alcazar. But an interesting walk: beautiful streets, plenty of shopping along the way.... The apartment is terrific, just as described and pictured. Rocio is a gem who helped us plan our Sevilla visit, but also reviewed our entire Spanish itinerary. And for those of us whose Spanish is meager, her English is exceptional. Oh, and if at all possible, take Rocio's advice and avoid taking a car to Sevilla. As we were headed on to an extensive trip through Spain, we thought it made sense to pick up our car as we left Madrid. Wrong choice. Take the train to Granada and Sevilla and pick up your car there.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Hola Mary Dee & Bob, Thank you so much for your great review and the nice stuff you stuff you say - it's much appreciated! Happy to know you guys enjoyed Sevilla and your trip through Spain. Most definitely will give you a shout when I make it to San Francisco. Thanks again! Cheers, R

I could just repeat what most of the others have said, however, that would be doing an injustice to Rocio. From the first email enquiry to organising the car for my trip to the airport upon departure, it has been once of my best travel experiences and I have now been traveling permanently for over two years. The apartment is exactly as described with everything I could need, nice and clean, bright and sunny and in a perfect location. Close enough to everything yet far enough away from the busier tourist area to be nice and quiet. Besides, wandering the narrow streets and lanes is part of the fun of a city like Sevilla. All food shopping within a few minutes with the wonderful fresh food market on Calle Feria and a supermarket close by. The wifi internet connection worked flawlessly the entire time. There is also a stock of DVDs, books and plenty of tourist information, maps and ideas for trips both around the city and further out. I have absolutely no hesitation about recommending this to others. Thanks for a great time Rocio!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car.
Owner response: James, Thank you so much for your your wonderful review, it's been so nice meeting you. I cannot thank you enough for leaving the apartment in such a perfect condition, super clean and neat, really appreciate it, it's been a pleasure to have you in San Luis and am happy you enjoyed it and Sevilla. Hope you have a great time in your next destination!! Thanks again!! Take care, Rocio

We couldn't have asked for anything more from our stay at Rocio’s apartment in downtown Sevilla. The location was superb, walking distance to everything we wanted to do. We consider ourselves fairly seasoned travelers and have never stayed anywhere better. Incredible host - she even had milk, olive oil, bread, and wine and cheese in the refrigerator and fresh fruit on the table when we arrived. Rocio was very accommodating and took time to make sure we knew of places to dine, visit and which tours to take. It was overall an excellent experience. Seville was beautiful and we hope to visit again. We highly recommend staying here!!! Thanks again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

This apartment is comfortable and relatively spacious, at least compared to others we stayed in while visiting Spain. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, making coffee, or having snacks. The apartment has an iron, ample closet/drawer space, coffee pot, washer, dining room table for four, decent-size bathroom, TV with programs or music, a couch, and a loveseat. The Internet was highly efficient. The bed is large enough for two adults and the living room has plenty of room for spreading out and settling in. While few people would go to Seville and want to hang around the apartment, this place is cozy, should you need to rest, take a break, or hang out. It was great for the 2 of us, but would be suitable for a small family. The apartment is off-the-beaten track, which is a bonus. The Cathedral and main sights are a 10-15 minute walk, yet there is so much more to see in the Macarena District. There are great Plazas and restaurants within a few minute walk, and just up the street are ancient Roman walls. How do you beat that? We walked to and from the train station, which amounted to about 15 minutes. The neighborhood is safe and vibrant, and should you need basics, there are two small stores nearby. Corte Ingles, the larger supermarket, is a 10-15 minute walk. Even though the street is active, there is no street noise in the apartment. You can therefore open the door or windows and avoid hearing cars or the activity outside. There is a central courtyard, however, so you may hear some of the neighbors. Rocio was a tremendous host, making sure the apartment is stocked with maps, guidebooks, and personal suggestions for your particular interests or travel plans. Would we stay there again? Most definitely.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: I studied Uni in Seville and all my room mates were American students. After that I was living and working in Edinburgh, Scotland, for over 5 years and travelled around the world, always visiting my old friends in the States. The last 4 years I have already been working accommodating visitors in Seville and other places of Andalucia, and now that I have my own place my aim is to make you feel home away from home and help you get the best out of your stay. I have always been treated so kindly abroad that is my turn now to give it back You can see me in the photo with my dog Marcelo, he's so much fun! I know not too many places over here are dog friendly, and how hard it is to leave them behind, so please feel free to ask if you want to bring your pet
Why the Owner Chose Seville Province:
This apartment had a homely feeling from the first time I saw it-even without any furniture, and after living there for a couple of months decided it was a great place to offer it as a vacation rental. I have furbished and decorated it from the scratch so visitors can feel comfy and welcomed. I also found the unbeatable location perfect to help visitors to get the typical Sevillano experience
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I will always be available to help you get whatever you need to make your stay perfect and unforgettable. The location is great to discover Seville, and the apartment is so nice and comfy!
