I would rate this place as a 4 1/2 but there was no option. I stayed at this unit in November 2009. The weather was perfect, there were many activities (bingo, bocci, dinner and brunch parties). The pool is heated and well maintained. The people in this community are very friendly. This condo is near many restaurants and stores and also close to many beaches - Englewood, Venice and Sarasota. Along the side of the condo you will find a great area for walking. It was a relaxing and enjoyable vacation and I am looking forward to returning. The owners were pleasant and very accommodating. Thank you Jeane for all your help.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

My family stayed at this beautiful condo in the Spring of 2010. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the unit. The complex was filled with fun activities and great folks. The short drive to Fisherman’s Village was an added bonus. We look forward to staying here again in the Spring of 2011.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities.

I stayed this condo back in the spring and loved it. The complex is peaceful and relaxing and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The condo itself was very clean and well maintained and I loved sitting out on the screened-in lanai that overlooks the lake. I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities.

About the owner: My husband and I are both retired. We live in Long Island, New York, but love to come to Florida in the winter. We have a place in Port Charlotte and bought this place as an investment and also to have a place for our children and grandchildren to stay when they come to visit. We are trying to learn how to play golf. We love the Florida beaches, especially Siesta Key in Sarasota which is about 50 minutes away. The closest beach is Englewood and we love looking for Shark teeth there.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Suzy:
When we were looking for a place in Florida, we looked on the east coast first and found it to be too crowded. We wanted to be South of Sarasota, because that is the frost line. We love it here because it is centrally located and nothing is too far away that you can't drive there.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love the beaches and there are so many to explore. If you like to gamble there is a Hard Rock casino 1 hour away. The weather is just beautiful in the winter. We love looking at the birds. The people in the development are friendly.
