Chuck is easy to deal with, the condo is great and the location just above Red Hook can't be be. With the sunrise over the islands to the east is incredible. A must.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We loved our stay at this condo! I don't think that vacation on St.Thomas is supposed to be the luxurious one, the island is just not about it, it's about discovering the beauty of the island, local food and people, going to the new places every day. So if you think like us, you have to book this condo!! First of all it is very affordable. The view from the balcony is gorgeous! Apartment s spacious and very light. We loved that its located above the restaurant/bar, we spent a few nights over there just enjoying good, strong drinks and live music . The owner, Chuck, is very helpful with your questions and concerns. We will definitely be returning!!!! Thank you ,Chuck, for giving us the opportunity to stay at your place! We couldn't be happier!)))Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Sapphire Village is a nice place with magnificent views. It is close to Sapphire Beach and it has a small marina as well. We rented that condo so we can have a living room and separated bedroom. The pictures show you what you are going to get. It is absolutely basic furnished. We used it only to sleep in. St. Thomas and St. John beaches were our destinations for two wonderful weeks. If you are planning to stay inside you will not be enjoying any comfort or luxury. We had some problems with the air conditioner in the living room and the refrigerator that was making horrible noises. The owner was very helpful and responsive. He even offered us to use his other unit for free for one week till he was fixing the problems. The sofa bed in the living room is very uncomfortable to slip on. If you are not planning to use it you will be fine. There is a restaurant under the unit with nice Mahi-Mahi sandwiches and it was our beer provider. ? Sometimes they had nice life music…you keep the door open and enjoy it. The location of the village is the best. For $1/pp you can get to Red Hook in 5 min; take a ferry for $12/pp and in 20 min you are in St. John… We were there for the incredible snorkeling, golden sand, blue water and fun time. We had it all! Take a mosquito propeller with you everywhere. After sunset the mosquitos will eat you for dinner.Owner response: 4 Comments: 1. The refrigerator and a/c have since been replaced. 2. I cleared out and gave her a studio apartment in addition to the 1 bed for a week for free. You think she would have at least given me 4 stars for the effort. 3. There is a foam-posturepedic-type mattress add-on that makes the coach pretty comfortable. It's still a couch, not a bed, but I talked to her about it going in. She refused to try and/or use it. 3. I've rented 2 units for many years, and as you might get an inkling of from the review, she would not make my list of easy-going, easy to deal with clients. You have to understand when vacationing in the Caribbean that face-paced, I need it now, is not in the vocabulary. Both the fridge and the a/c were loaners because the next ship wouldn't be in til after New Year's-Home Depot won't have larger room a/c's in til March. As my reviews in this and my other unit state, I work very hard to fix any problems. It just may not be done in 5 minutes , or to absolute perfection. I think the reviewer would have been happier in a hotel, which would have suited her needs better, but that probably would have more than double her costs with me.

Accurate description. Photos accurately reflect the property status. This is not a luxury apartment but is well priced while everyrything was clean and functional, just what we needed. A/C works nice for the entire property. Defenetly I would recomend this property to everyone who is not looking for luxury but a clean place to stay with common amenities (A/C, Cable TV, etc.). Owner is very accesible, helpful and honest (Before confirming my rental he called me to advice of a construction being done to the building in order to know if I was willing to continue with the transaction - all the construction details were described perfectly).Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

This is a solid spot, I would stay there again. The location I great, being so close to the Red Hook ferry made it super easy to get to St. John, and Red Hook itself is a great little trip of resturants/bars. Charles called after I booked and was super helpful about everything like transportation, places to eat, etc, definitely ask him any questions you may have he is very knowledgable. The condo itself was great because just a minute away is Sapphire Beach, plus right below his unit is the swimming pool and restaurant. We had rented a car, and were able to park no problem. My only con would be that realistically only a couple should book this because although there is a sofa bed, it's not very comfortable at all so try not to plan sleeping on it if you cant deal with that. Other than that, plenty of towels, and beach chairs in the closet were EXCELLENT for taking to Magen's or Coki where we would've otherwise had to rent them. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it's a clean and solid choice.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
