This property was everything we expected plus some! There was plenty of room and very comfortable beds for everyone to sleep. The cottage was clean, sheets, towels and other necessities were provided. The location of the cottage is very private and located in a very quiet neighborhood with a great deck for grilling or relaxing. We skied at Jay 5 days with great conditions. I would definitely come back and recommend this home to any of my friends or family. ZG's.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Just returned from ladies-only ski week. We had an amazing time. The house was very clean, spacious and fully equipped. We only had to bring food. Very close to the mountain. Nice to come back from a long day of skiing and curl up in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine. No long ride home. The house also felt very safe being there were women only staying there. Bruce was very helpful with any questions we had. Even sending me a map how to get to the mountain. Very easy by the way. The beds were great. Definitely will return next year if not in the fall for a hiking trip. Thank you so much Bruce. -- Cindy and the girls.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

“Just returned from a week @ Bruce's place. It was exactly as he stated. My wife and I had a great time. While we were there we recognized a lot of other places that we "almost" stayed at. They were right on busy roads and were noisy. Bruce's place was secluded and yet close to a lot to do. He had plenty of tourist books to look at. So before you decide what you are going to do… check out those books and maps first. The house was perfectly situated for fall foliage viewing. We also took a hike on The Long Trail. The town of Newport was very quaint with many historic buildings representative of New England. There are various historical sites to see. Our favorite was "The Old Stone House". We enjoyed our dinner at the Tastings restaurant very much. Best of all, Montreal was close enough for a day trip. Very much steeped in French culture so that like it was a quick trip to Europe. The home was well appointed for larger groups that want to stay. We are already planning to go with extended family sometime in the future. Bruce was prompt in responding to my numerous inquiries and everything was as represented in the photos. I am NOT easy to please. I am pleased to have stayed there!”Did you find this review helpful? The cottage is set up on a quiet side road about 6 mins from Jay peak resort. We had 2 adults with 4 kids everybody had there own bed with plenty of space for quiet time. The cottage was very clean , well maintainted and stocked with fresh bedding, and towels. . We had a great stay and found two friendly dogs who would come and walk with us when we were out . would highly recommend, for anyone wanting to visit the resort without having to stay at the resort .Did you find this review helpful? What a great time we had at the cottage! My husband and I took a few days away from the routine to get away and do some skiing and relaxing in Jay. The house was great, so clean and well furnished. The rooms were spacious, the beds very comfortable, the bathrooms were great with the soaking tub being a great spot after a long day of spring skiing!! We had everything we needed and more. The house was more than big enough for us and could easily have slept three couples or two families. Our weather was spectacular, being 75 and sunny and the decks were so nice on those bright sunny days. The grill worked great and there was an extra gas bottle just in case. We had dinner at the Belfry, and It was delicious. The local grocery was more than adequate for our needs. The owners were so good about communicating with us whether it was in text, email or phone. I have nothing but compliments on this property and its owners! We are already looking at our winter schedule for next year! The Wrights, Chatham Ma.Did you find this review helpful? We had an awesome stay in Jay! The house was perfectly located for all of our adventures. The cottage was warm and cozy which made us feel right at home. It was also very clean and well equipped. When we return for a 2nd visit this will definitely be our top choice for lodging and I would certainly recommend it to my friends and family! Thanks Bruce!!! I stayed here for a weekend with a group of 8 and it felt just like home. The beds were so comfy that we were actually able to sleep and felt energized the next day for Jay Peak. The rooms are big, bathrooms were clean, the fireplace was awesome, kitchen is also well equipped. I cannot say 1 bad thing about this house. It's so great that we are planning our return trip already the day we got back home!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We decided rather last minute to celebrate Christmas at Jay Peak. The condo rentals were mostly taken and the rates were very high so I was excited when I found Bruce's chalet on-line and it was available. It was brown and crusty when we arrived but it started snowing the next day - this is a wonderfully cozy place to stay in surrounded by trees covered with snow. There is a gas fireplace that adds to the charm, and the kitchen and eating area were perfect - our family loves to cook so it's always a huge part of our holiday. There's even a pretty good market not too far away, and Jay Peak is less than five minutes away. The bedroom space is ample and the washer/dryer are on the main floor. The clawfoot tub was perfect for soaking in after a day of skiing. And it was great to have wireless! We will definitely be returning.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Our family really enjoyed our stay it was a perfect set up with plenty of space. The owner Bruce couldn't have been nicer and we will stay again next year for sure. Our children enjoyed the community pool and play-set just about everyday! Having WiFi and cable is always an added benefit. We preferred this rental to the one we had before. Hard water was an issue for us before but the water system was very good and we had no problems. The Palmer family from Florida can't wait to come back!Did you find this review helpful?
