Think back to the magical feeling of a summer day at the beach - the warm sun, soft sand and cool waves. This is the place that rekindles the spirit of carefree times and lets you create warm memories of cherished moments with family and friends. This is "Sunny Beach".
We chose our dream vacation home at Bear Trap Dunes because of its location in Ocean View (2.5 mi. to the beach), the family friendly and lovely small town atmosphere (front porches, parks, sidewalks, holiday parades, tree-lined streets and friendly neighbors), and the amenities (27 hole championship golf course, beautiful club house with fine and casual dining, driving range, pro shop, 2 outdoor pools, kiddy pools, playground, whirlpool, M&F saunas, 5 tennis courts, fully equipped health club and a community center for larger get-togethers).
Step up to the wide front porch with its comfy rockers for relaxing with a book and a nice "beach cooler". Inside our designer decorated home, the ceramic tiled center hallway leads back to the large great room. The walls in the main areas are a cheerful yellow that catch the light and lift your spirits. The great room, where everyone gathers, is bright, airy and very comfortably furnished. You'll find a gas fireplace and a large screen TV with DVD/VCR player. There is a built-in floor to ceiling bookcase that houses the AM/FM/Stereo/CD/Tape player along with a great selection of videos, music, books and games.
The gourmet kitchen is the heart of this wonderful room. Here you can prepare your family meals and stay right in the middle of the conversation and laughter while doing so. A large counter with stools separates the kitchen's work area and allows people to chat, snack and listen to the music at the end of a beautiful beach day. There's also a large "butler's pantry" with lots of storage that connects the kitchen to the main dining room that seats eight around a large square table. Alongside the kitchen is the casual dining area with a table and six chairs and sliding doors leading to the screened porch, deck backyard and pond. Evenings often find us out on the porch relaxing, talking and watching the ducks, herons and birds out on the pond. The porch leads out to the large, private deck where the sunbathers and barbequers like to hang out. After dinner we like to take a walk around the village, taking in the coolness of the evening, thankful for a beautiful day and thinking about what tomorrow will bring.
Our newly furnished home features a first floor master suite with queen sized bed, and private, beautifully tiled bath with separate soaking tub and shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms with a connecting bath and a den with desk for your laptop and a double futon sofa that can comfortably sleep two kids or one adult. The sofa in the great room is a queen sleeper for those unexpected guests. The washer/dryer are in the utility room which leads to the two-car garage. The house also features a lovely back yard that backs to a quiet pond. Directly across the street is a lovely little "pocket park" where you can catch the shuttle to the beach. |
