  Joe and Debbie have an outstanding property, creative and detailed for total comfort. "The view" offers sights of nature, beautiful sunrises, forever changing waters within the Strait of Georgia. Their personal touches were very much appreciated. ....there's a definite "wow" factor. Location is ideal for a variety of activities and quiet relaxation. We highly recommend this vacation retreat.

  This is so much better than a hotel room! I was really impressed with the high level of craftsmanship in the suite - it says a lot about your work as home builders. Thanks for the many little extras - they were much appreciated!

  We spent the entire month of August in "The View" suite. If you are looking for peace, quiet, and an unbelievable view, this is your place. Everything was top notch from the bed to the completely equiped full kitchen. We are golfers and there were six golf courses within a 14 mile radius. The sea food store at the nearby marina was open 7 days a week and the hosts were lovely people. We loved it.

  Eine liebevoll mit allen Extras ausgestattete Suite mit einem traumhaften Blick auf das Meer aus sämtlichen Fenstern! Die geschmackvoll eingerichteten, modernen und äußerst sauberen Räume sind liebevoll mit wirklich allem ausgestattet,was ein Flugreisender erhoffen kann; es gibt nichts, woran die reizenden Gastgeber nicht bereits im Voraus gedacht haben. Warmherzig war auch der Empfang mit Obst, Wein und Wasser; sofort fühlten wir uns wohl und gut aufgehoben. In der großzügigen Küche macht das Kochen Spaß; auch weil man im nahegelegenen "Marina" leckeren, fangfrischen Fisch kaufen kann. Und was gibt es Schöneres als ein Frühstück im Freien auf einer Terrasse mit Meerblick? Durch die zentrale und ruhige Lage (kein Touristenlärm) ist die Unterkunft ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge auf Vancouver Island und bietet alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in naher Umgebung. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft all denen, die Luxus und Qualität schätzen und Natur und Ruhe in schöner Umgebung genießen möchten. Bei Debbie und Joe, unseren überaus netten, aufmerksamen und doch diskreten Vermietern bedanken wir uns für ihre Großzügigkeit und Gastfreundschaft.   This self-contained property was equipped with top-of-the-range fixtures and furnishings. It was extremely comfortable with the most fantastic sceascape view across the Straits of Georgia to the snow-capped Coastal Mountains. The owners were extremely welcoming and allowed us access to their beautiful garden which had steps right down to the rugged sandstone beach. The considerate attention to detail added to the comfort. From the property we could watch seals, bald eagles and Canada geese and one day a deer with her fawn came into the garden. A comfortable bed and quiet peaceful environment made for a very relaxing stay. At French Creek nearby there is a fish shop selling the freshest and best halibut ever. We would love to return and would recommend the View to anyone considering staying in this area of Vancouver Island. Marie and Helen - Edinburgh. June 2012

  This is a very nice, immaculately kept unit with a wonderful view. Debbie's nice touches such as the fruit and bottle of wine upon arrival were very much appreciated. The location is very private and quiet, while still being quite close to all the amenities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach. We're looking forward to a return visit in the near future.

  From check-in to check-out, this unit and the owners were first class in what was provided to renters. When we arrived everything was immaculately clean, and a 'welcome' gift of wine and fresh fruit were waiting in the kitchen. The layout of the unit and its furnishings reflect intelligent planning and good taste by Debbie and Joe. The bed was most comfortable, and it was a delight to see the sunrise over the mountains as we woke up each morning. The unit's location provided wonderful views of the ocean and mountains from every room. We drank many cups of coffee while relaxing and watching the eagles, otters and deer that visited the property. Parksville, Qualicum, and Coombs were all a short drive away, providing many opportunities for things to do, restaurants to visit and grocery stores filled with a wide variety of choices. Our hosts suggested different things we might like to see and do, and there were brochures in the unit that also would help someone new to the area find things that might interest them. We would rate the location, the unit and the owners as top-notch, and would be most happy to return another Spring for a longer stay.

  Spent a week here and it is to be recommended. Excellent location. You could sit all day and watch the ocean. There are stairs to access the apartment (I note this only if you have any mobility problems).

  Quiet, very private with fabulous views of the ocean. Lots of little "extras" (ironing board, w/d, toiletries in bathroom, ironed sheets, coffee, variety of DVD's to watch). Have been here twice, both in sunshine and the rain and loved it each time. This prairie girl would love to run away to here for a week, just to "hang out" and feel pampered! The suite and yard are immaculate and well maintained. One morning the resident otters were playing in the garden pond and cavorting on the lawn! Tasty bakery within walking distance and few minutes drive to downtown Parksville. Highly recommend staying here.

  great place, great owners who answered very fast on our mail and who provided us with good tips and all we needed. the house is equiped with all we needed - even with a grill so we were able to have a little bbq. everytime again!

  We stayed only three nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. The location is perfect for touring during the day. The views are spectacular, the accomodations felt like home, which was wonderful especially after a full day of sightseeing. Everything you need and more is provided.   My daughter and I were just looking for a normal get-away fun, but we retrieved much more than that. We entered the doors of happiness, comfort, and love. We had an awesome time and never wanted to leave! The house was humongous. It had a very friendly white clean feel to it. The furniture was comfortable and this house probably has the best view in the world- the endless liquid. The ocean is what makes it beautiful; I love how the house is right on the beach! and don't worry about the transportation because it is very convenient. It will take you 5 minutes to walk to the bus stop. There’s only one summary I can really say about this house is that- once you’re in; you never want to leave. It’s quite the house that makes you want to lay down and sleep all day. Let’s just call this place: The Relaxation House and the Touch of Heaven’s Paradise. I was in an area completely different from Thailand. Yet I felt so at home! Isn’t that strange? I never thought I would ever consider a place home other than my own home. I enjoyed this adventure with my child very much. I do recommend this adventure to everyone! This is not just a “get-away”, but a life-time experience. You will always remember the smiley town people, the beautiful non-stopping water, and the comfort of a place you can truly call home. Any age can enjoy this amazing area. The peace and quiet is what makes this place unique. To be able to come upon silence is a gift from nature. What’s not to love about this place? The people are amazingly friendly, the house is huge and beautiful, and you get to see an ocean view every time you rise and open your eyes. This is absolutely the place people should be fighting, and staying in line just to go visit. Even staying here for one day should be considered a gift from God. This house is defiantly a place you can call home. However, once you leave you’ll always miss it.

  I am a VRBO owner and I travel frequently in my job. I recently came across Debbie and Joe's waterfront listing in Parksville and right away decided I would like to stay there the next time I travelled up that way. I'm so glad that I did, as I loved their place. The apartment is brand new, spotlessly clean, tastefully appointed, and has beautiful ocean views. The queen size bed was really comfortable and if I opened the French doors to the bedroom I could sit in bed and look out at the ocean. It doesn't get much better than that. The suite provided me with everything I needed to enjoy my stay. On top of it all Debbie and Joe were so friendly, helpful and accommodating right up to couriering my hair dryer and flat iron back to me after I forgot them in the apartment when I checked out. Now that’s customer service! I would certainly recommend their apartment to anyone who is looking for a fantastic location, friendly service, privacy, upscale lodgings and a beautiful view of the ocean. Thanks Debbie and Joe, I hope I can stay at your place the next time I'm up that way.

  My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay in mid January. The facility was exactly as described and the owners were very helpful and friendly. My wife said "Wow" when we walked in the door. We picked the location as my wife and I are thinking of moving to the area and we wanted to be in the center of things...i.e. part way between Qualicum Beach and Parksville. This proved to be the ideal spot. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need...the owners even stocked it with a bottle of wine and a very nice fresh fruit selection. The bed was very comfortable, the view out over the ocean was terrific, and the place was exceptionally clean. There is a large screen LCD TV and it is well stocked with a good selection of DVDs. WiFi internet also worked well. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends.

  We only stayed 3 nights but would have loved to stay longer. Even though the weather didn't cooperated fully we had a lovely ocean view location with all the amenities you could want. Our accommodation was so nice we really didn't want to leave. How wonderful is it to wake up to an ocean view with eagles perched on a near by tree and all the birdies singing? Would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks for a great stay in French Creek!
