Our four bedroom cottage would be great for a family reunion or a shared vacation with another family.
You will find a sixty foot dock with a large sitting area where you can lay in the sun or moor a boat to access the Severn waterway. There is a comfortable outdoor patio area with a teak table, 6 chairs and gas BBQ. There are often spectacular sunsets across Lake Couchiching.
This cottage has a beautiful sunroom and dining area that overlook the lake. A full modern kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, ice-maker, and laundry room. Year round central heat or A/C, TV, DVD, Netflix and WIFI . Tastefully decorated and clean.
There are four bedrooms, two main floor bedrooms (one with on-suite bathroom) and two upstairs bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and one of the upstairs bedrooms has two additional single beds.
Located an hour and a half north of Toronto it is just outside of the village of Washago, the property can be easily reached from Toronto by traveling up Hwy 400, or avoid the big highway and travel north along highways 48 and 12.
Within a twenty-minute drive you will find, the towns of Gravenhurst and Oriillia, the entertainment at Casino Rama, or live theatre at the Orillia playhouse. Boats are available at the local marinas to travel through the nearby locks and along the Severn waterway to Georgian Bay. The water at the end of the dock is about four feet deep, power boats are welcome to moor, but boaters need to know the preferred route before approaching the dock. We offer a canoe for exploring the nearby Green and Black River.

We recently traveled from Southern California to spend a few days in the Toronto area and decided to travel up to Lake Couchiching and we are so glad that we did. Our stay here was perfect! We sat out in the sunroom every evening with a glass of wine and every morning with a cup of Tim Horton's coffee (wish we had it in So. Calif.) to enjoy the beauty all around us - Fall colors, beautiful water, Canadian geese, not to mention their beautiful, comfortable home. We all had large comfortable beds to sleep in (and that doesn't always happen) and we had everything at our finger tips. We traveled to small towns such as Bala and continued our Fall Color experience, along with antique hunting. We would highly recommend staying here and we hope to come back. My husband had hoped to fish right from the dock, but the water is shallow, so he had to seek other spots for fishing....But the fishing was very good...Water, water everywhere!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.
