220 Acres with 3 Cabins, a Private Lake & River to Float/Fish

The book 'How It Looks Going Back' by Doris Knowles Pulis, was written about our property; it is literally a story-book escape. Enjoy your very own cabin-in-the-woods experience---complete with multiple cabins, towering Lodgepole Pine Trees with walking trails, a running river and private lake.
We have hosted many family reunions at Cyara Cabins. With 3 separate fully equipped cabins, lake, woods and 220 acres: its a perfect place/large space to get away from it all and soak up family/friends, nature's clean air and deep colors---and enjoy scads of outdoor recreation. Have canoe races, dive off kayaks or use paddle boats to traverse the lake. Bring your mountain bikes, badminton or fishing poles; or enjoy the 'game room' with ping pong, board games and carpet ball.
A river borders the property, allowing access for swimming, fishing and floating. A big fire pit by the lake offers a place to make s'mores, sing campfire songs and soak up Montana's Big Sky. Enjoy the tree-fort and hammock, walking trail around the lake and to a nearby waterfall.

We recently had a delightful experience at your awesome place. We were amazed at the combination of being in a place of pristine beauty and natural splendor along with facilities that are beautifully designed and equipped with every modern convenience. We were there with others so had opportunity to see all three buildings, all in excellent condition and with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The lovely lake and surrounding trails provided opportunity for exercise and meditation. We especially enjoyed kayaking on the lake. We trust that the beauty of this place with the comfortable facilities will bless many others as it has us. We highly recommend it!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+.

Exceptional, rare, beautiful wilderness! My husband and I have stayed here twice, both times enjoying the well-appointed, hand-hewn cabins as a launching point for our adventures. From drinking coffee on the porch while resident loons call from the lake, to waterfall hiking, to kayaking on the creek that wraps the property, we enjoyed it all. The owners are wonderful to work with, too.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Cyara is a magnificent place to visit and be "entertained" by Montana's wonders - a river, creek and private lake at your front door. Get up early and go fly fishing on your private lake literally at the front porch. In the afternoon paddle out to the floating dock and read a book while an osprey circles looking for careless trout on the lake. Then take a stroll around the lake or to the river that cuts a semicircle the cabins. Kids can take off their shoes and chase little trout in the shallow creek running next to the cabin - while you watch from the shade of a tree. When it is time for some exercise - drive up one of many forest service roads - no 4X4 required - and then make your way to a pristine mountain lake with trout that rise all day and have lunch. It is a great place to enjoy a secluded piece on Montana at its best.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+.

God's country. A serene, peaceful, Montana getaway experience. No interruptions from cell phones, computers or the outside world. Your own huge piece of outdoors for hiking, contemplating, meditating, mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, fishing and sunning on a private lake and stream. The photos do not do justice for the beauty and expanse of the place. The cabins are clean and quaint. We saw an abundance of wildlife and enjoyed the trail around the lake and through the meadows. This place worked perfectly for our large group...lots to do and lots of room to do it in. We were able to be with the group all together for meals, but get away from it all when we wanted to. You can easily drive or bike to a trail head that leads to a beautiful waterfall. Plenty of games on site for the young ones to play.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1992
About the owner: A large, extended family owns this 220 acre property. We have been enjoying a yearly family reunion here for 15 plus years. For most of our children (and certainly the grandparents): this is the best week of their entire year. We anticipate our time together---at Cyara Cabins---all year long. We make plans for butterfly hunting, building tree-forts, making s'mores and setting up bike-and-boat relays. We made a tree-size sling shot once, go at it in ping-pong tournaments and take turns resting in the hammock. We pick flowers and play cards, swim and snap photos; we go on bike rides and long hikes, and enjoy leisurely walks around the lake. We barbecue, grill and picnic. When not enjoying our favorite week of the year (at Cyara Cabins) our families reside, work and go to school in varying locations across the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, Bellingham and Vancouver BC).
Why the Owner Chose Troy:
To escape. But not just to escape our busy lives or big cities; we bought it so we could escape TOGETHER. Our family keeps getting bigger---and lives just get busier. We don't always get to spend time together, especially living in different cities. When we go to Cyara Cabins we spend time together, re-tell our best stories and create new ones. Cousins play together, siblings catch-up, parents soak up everyone. Sure, its a few hours from Silverwood Theme Park (good for the drive-to or from), near Sandpoint, ID (so quaint!) and just 3 hours from Glacier National Park BUT we find we want to go straight there, and soak up every minute we have until we have to go home.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
Lake is private---exclusive to guests and entirely on the property (catch-and-release fishing in lake). You see no neighbors, the property is large, private and 'all yours' for the duration of your stay. Includes vast acreage, 3 separate cabins and lots of opportunity to walk, boat, bike, swim, fish, cook, read, relax and more.
