Cute Cabin! We named this cute, knotty pine cabin after our 'Papa Bear' who created our family legacy with a Tahoe cabin for summer and winter adventures. Now, we are sharing the cabin with you to create your own memories - whether family vacation, couple's getaway, honeymoons or ski vacation. The access is fabulous, right on the highway so you won't get stuck in the snow, with a wide, level driveway that can fit four cars and a boat.
Lake View! There's a view of Lake Tahoe from the deck and the living room.
Features! The cabin can sleep five to six people. There are two bunkbeds in one room, sleeping four; and a queen bed, that can sleep one to two people. Paneled in knotty pine throughout, the cabin has cute features such as an open bar between the kitchen and dining room, a woodstove, nice TV, etc.
Dog Friendly! In the back is a small, fenced enclosure where you can let your dog out without worry of Fido wandering away.
No Smoking! Please don't rent this cabin if you are a smoker.
Close to resorts! The cabin is located in the middle of the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, close to Northstar, Homewood, Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley, as well as Tahoe Cross Country Ski Center. Many more ski areas are within an hour's drive. There are beaches across the North Shore, public bus access right out the front door, restaurants and shopping within minutes.
This cabin opens the door to a wonderful world of Tahoe adventures.

We had a great time in Tahoe at Papa Bear's cabin. It was the perfect size for our family of four, plus our dog. It was very cozy and had everything we needed to enjoy our time in the snow. The cabin was just as described on the site, it was well furnished and in great condition.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We loved this comfy,cozy cabin, very welcoming upon arrival! Clean and family friendly, we can't wait to return.We called the reference # for help finding an outside light and a very nice young man came to our assistance so we could bbq on the deck.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent Christmas with our parents in Papa Bear's Cabin and had a wonderful time! The cabin is super cozy, and equipped with everything we needed! It is located right by the lake, and close to a bunch of Ski Resorts. We will be back, thank you, Papa Bear!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We had an incredible time while at the cabin. It was a wonderful experience to be able to spend the long weekend at this place. The comforts of home made this a great time for our family. Upon walking in we were mesmerized by the simplicity yet great character that the cabin had. We'd spend time at Lake Tahoe before but this was our first overnight stay and we are glad we chose this cabin. We also loved the location as we were nearby many of the different places we wanted to visit and never too far from a grocery store or restaurant. It was such a wonderful time of relaxation and merriment that we look forward to our next visit.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We had a great time at this cabin over the weekend. The cabin was the perfect size for two of us...although, we did not use the second bedroom, so it would be fine for bigger groups as well. The location is right across the street from the lake, so even though you get some traffic noise, you also get some peek-a-boo views of the lake and mountains and are also just a few houses down from a path with access to the beach. It is very cozy and clean and has just about everything you could imagine needing from wireless to a bbq to a waffle maker. For us, an added bonus was that the deck is completion gated so we could hang out with our pupster without having to worry about him wandering off and onto the busy road. The little fenced in area out back was also nice. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: The family which jointly owns Papa Bear's Tahoe Cabin shares a love of Lake Tahoe and frequently visits this special place. Of the three children, the Caninos have lived in Cedar Flat, just a few blocks away, for more than 20 years; the Bransons are in the Reno/Sparks area and the Borgias family comes for frequent visits from Denver.
Why the Owner Chose Cedar Flat:
Papa Bear chose to purchase this property so he could spend his summers golfing at Old Brockway Golf Course and enjoying his friends along the lake. After he went to heaven, his kids continue the legacy of a love of Tahoe.
