This sweet cottage is located on the beautiful, rugged island of Vinalhaven, in Penobscot Bay, Maine. The island is accessed by Maine State Ferry Service with six ferries running round trip each day.The ride is one hour and twenty minutes. Reservations are advised.
In the heart of the village, the house overlooks the harbor. There is a perennial garden in the small, front yard and a classic, white-picket fence.
On a good day, you can put lawn chairs out and watch the lobster boats come and go.
You enter the house by walking up a flight of stairs and going into the living/dining room area complete with working woodstove and table for four. The kitchen is off this room and equipped with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and oven. The bath on this floor is full with a bath/shower. The den on this floor has a built-in sofabed and a TV.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twins. There is a bathroom with sink and toilet. Washer and dryer are in the basement.
