  This condo is fantastic. The description provided by the owner is spot on. The condo had everything we needed for our stay: kitchen with cookware, towels, beach chairs, and a cooler. We loved sleeping with the patio doors open, being lulled to rest by the ocean. The condo is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the beauty all around. When there we spent most of our time sitting on the patio and we even saw a whale one morning. The location is also great. We were able to travel to Lahaina for dinner several nights, to Black Rock for snorkeling, and to Maalea Harbor for our snorkeling trip to Molokini. We also adventured on longer to trips including the Road to Hana and Haleakala crater. We totally recommend this condo for those looking for the perfect balance of a peaceful getaway with easy ability to explore the island. It was very easy to work with the owner. She is very responsive and always made sure we knew who we could contact if anything happened. With the condo in such great condition, we had no worries and did not need to reach out. We will certainly rent this condo again when we come back to Maui.

  We arrived in Maui a day earlier and the owner was great with recommending accommodations prior to our arrival. She was always available and helpful with anything that we needed, or any questions that we had. We have rented a few VRBO's in the past, and the owner has been the best host that we have ever dealt with. Being there with a 20 month old, we were a little worried about how she would sleep with it being a studio condo, but there were no issues. Our daughter would wake up in the morning and want to look for whales. It was always great to sit on the patio and have breakfast, lunch, and dinner overlooking the ocean and enjoying the great sights of the whales splashing around and breaching! Our daughter was very excited, and still talks about the turtles that she saw just outside our place. The grounds also has a small atrium that has a pond with fish, which became a nightly routine of seeing the fish to say "night night" to. We had a few reservations about the communal laundry and BBQ area, but both were great! There is a grocery store close by, as well as a few shops that meet all your necessities. Huge hits with our daughter were the pool, hot tub, park (about 1 min walk from the condo), as well as the numerous wonderful beaches only about a 5 minute drive away. This place is HIGHLY recommended for couples and families. Every thing that you need is in the condo, plus a few extra things that you can use for leisure on the beach. The whale watching and sunsets were unbelievable. Ocean front properties is definitely the way to experience Maui, we wouldn't have done it any other way! Thanks for everything and hopefully we will return soon!

  We stayed in the studio here for a week in March. The condo was awesome with granite and tile throughout and a full kitchen. Everything seemed new, nice and quite clean. The view from the balcony was some of the best whale watching we got during our entire trip. There were two sets of binoculars provided. There are BBQs near the pool that have utensils, brushes and lighters next to them. We will absolutely stay here again when we visit Maui next time.

  Recently enjoyed a wonderful stay in this unit. The location furnishing and cleanliness of the unit were excellent. We found the location very convenient being near excellent beaches and scenery as well as shopping and dining. We also found the owners to be a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to stay in this unit again or recommend it to friends and family.

  Just got back to the snow today and opened your email. Still don't have that set up on my phone yet. We really enjoyed our stay at your property. We had previously been at Hana for 2 nights at the Hana Maui Kai. They are apartment type units on a black sand beach. Lovely area with alot to see and hike but really nice to get to the sunny Lahaina side. We totally enhoyed the location with the ocean right outside our balcony and on the 1st floor as well. We snorkeled out front and saw some fish and were lucky enough to see a really large turtle as well. How exciting!!! We were also amazed at how many whales there were in the area just to be seen right from our balcony with the help of the trusty binoculars!! So....Then we decided to get up close and personal and went out on a whale watching tour. Of course the whales did not disappoint!! Thanks so much for checking up on us, really appreciate your time and effort and lovely little piece of paradise! Hopefully we may be this lucky to stay again.

  The pictures don't come close to showing the experience of being there. The condo is everything you could expect and more. This was our first trip to Maui, but definitely not the last. There would be no other location on the Island where I would rather be. We traveled around the Island and saw many wonderful sites, including whale watching out of Lahaina, Helicopter to Molokai, the road to Hana, the trip up to Haleakala crater, shopping at Whalers Village and dinner at "Leilana's on the beach". The beach walk at Kanapali is well worth the time especially at sunset. Although each time we went on an excursion and had a wonderful adventure, we couldn't wait to get back to our "home away from home" and settle down for whale watching from the lanai with the binoculars that Janette provided, watching the sea turtles in front of the condo on the beach, snorkeling and swimming with the masks, fins, and boogie board provided. We made sure we were on the lanai with coffee to watch the sun rise on the face of Molokai in the early morning, and watch the unbelievable sunsets over Lanai usually with wine and dinner in the evening. Sleeping with the sound of the waves lapping at your front door is something you won't soon forget. The grounds were well maintained and served us well as they were much more private and personal than most of the larger and more crowded resorts on Kanapali beach. The hot tub and pool were very comfortable and more private than the larger resorts, and allowed us to get acquainted with several of our neighbors in the adjoining condos. The gas grills in the pool cabana were handy for grilling dinners served on the lanai at sunset. The condo is provided with everything you could need or use. Shopping is not far, a short drive or a nice walk, ABC store for party supplies and Tymes groceries for meats, cheese, fruits and vegetables and all other needs. All in all we could not have been happier with our stay in Maui, but our stay here made the days unforgettable.

  This place is incredible! The descriptions and pictures above don't really describe the "feeling" you get when you walk into the condo. It was warm and welcoming.....and then, you see the view from the lanai! Oh my! If I'm vacationing, it's going to be a beach someplace. Though you have to walk a few steps to get to the sand, it is not a big deal. There is a rock ledge in front of the condo which makes a great place for the sea turtles to come in each day and feed. We were some of the lucky ones here in December and watched the whales right out in front everyday. Quite an experience! As I sit writing this on our last morning, I'm watching the whales spouting and flipping their tales and a turtle bobbing on the waves. The condo has all the amenities of home. There are plenty of cooking utensils and dishes. Normally when we rent a condo for a week, we have to take every kind of food item with us right down to the salt and pepper. Jannette, the sweet person that she is, has supplied your basic needs. There are paper towels, tissue, toilet tissue, salt and pepper and some basic spices, popcorn, etc. I also think it is a neat idea to leave some unopened nonperishable item for the next guest. You know. Pass it on/pay it forward. Since you can't transport your goods here, why not leave a little something if you "overbought". I have to admit, when we drove up I wondered what this was going to be like. We'd passed the big gleaming new complexes and turned down a little street that seemed crowded and not so new. There is a beautiful courtyard with a fountain and lots of beautiful plants. When we opened the door, we knew we'd come to the right place. The condo was spotless! If you are as anal as I am about cleanliness, this is the place for you. The unit was recently remodeled. Jannette and Kent tiled the shower, put in new cabinets, marble countertops in the kitchen and bath, and ceramic tiled floors. Since this is a studio unit, they put in a lovely king sized bedroom set. The TV sits on the dresser. There is plenty of room for your clothes and plenty of hanging space in the closet. The only thing the condo lacks is that you would have to go up or downstairs to do laundry. There is also a dinette table with chairs, two wicker chairs, and two barstools. The lanai has a table and four chairs. Jannette has supplied beach chairs, a cooler, bamboo beach mat, snorkel mask and swim fins. She's thought of everything. We'll be back!

  We LOVED staying here. Our second day on the island we stopped calling it "the condo" and started calling it "home." The pictures and descriptions are dead-on accurate and the place was impeccably clean (I'm a neat freak when it comes to hotels, etc. so trust me on this). I would have felt comfortable eating off the floor. The place is decorated in a pleasing fashion. Many people (esp. men) may not think this is important and in the grand scheme it's not, but it's nice to stay somewhere updated and not feel like you're living in the 70s like some places I've seen. The owners are very responsive to questions and needs, but not intrusive at all. The condo is packed to the gills with everything you could ever need - all sorts of cooking implements, a cooler and beach chairs, boogie board, detergent, binoculars.... The location is great with several small shopping centers nearby, with good, relatively cheap food (try Pizza Paradiso, Ohana Tacos, and L & L Barbeque - yum!). The ABC Store (kind of like a bigger 7-11) is great for little things. There are larger malls nearby and Lahaina is a very quick drive away, as are grocery and drug stores. Fancier restaurants are just a hop and skip as well. A note for those curious about the proximity of this property to the airport on the map....we never heard the roar of an airplane our whole time there, so no worries on that front. We loved relaxing on our lanai and sleeping so close to the ocean! Wonderful views of Lanai and Molokai as well! The beach is a VERY short walk away (with showers, yay!) and like the other reviewer, I'm glad it's not right on the beach, to keep down the noise. We had a rental car and checked out most of Maui....Northwest and South Maui are full of hoity-toity resorts. We definitely liked West Maui best and felt it had the most "local color" of the other areas we visited. If (when?) we return to Maui, we would not hesitate to rent this condo again. I would also not hesitate to recommend this property to any friends going to Maui. Mahalo nui loa!

  These owners are delivering exactly what they promise. The place was clean, beautiful and the perfect place to get away. It's right on the water - but not on a beach. That keeps people noise to a minimum. The complex it's in has ample parking and this has to be one of the best views in the entire place. We contacted the owners over some minor repairs in the condo and they repaired them during our stay. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance, but a car is needed on Maui (regardless of where you stay). We made great use of the beach chairs, towels and cooler provided by the owners! Such sweet touches. Stay here! You won't be disappointed!
