And the logistical process was seamless - from the online booking/payment to the hassle free arrival/departure. It felt like I was in my own vacation home and not a rental property, which is such a rare experience these days. You and your team are doing a wonderful job, and I would highly recommend Akers Ellis to any family & friends visiting Kiawah in the future. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This villa ,although not oceanfront, was right beside the walkway to the beach and it only took 2 minutes to get to the beach! It was roomy, open, and bright because it is an end unit. We liked having our own laundry within the unit,too. Great place to stay and would definitely rent this unit again!

  Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A few things bothered me; others might not care: a couple of SMALL stainless kitchen pots, metal spatula and decent veggie peeler would have been helpful since I was cooking for one; TV remotes barely worked; washing machine is truly tiny; comforter on bed reeked, of scented detergent I think; had to remove it and find a blanket. It is a lovely property in a perfect location, and these were just little annoyances. I enjoyed my stay very much. Manager responded on 11/12/2012: Thank you for your comments, we appreciate them. We feel that the kitchen is well stocked for its size, as there is not much space for extra items. We are sorry that you had trouble with the remote controls but with the Comcast DTA boxes, if the remote isn't pointed directly at the box or sensor, it can be difficult to turn the channels. We are also sorry that you found the bedspread to smell strongly, however, we feel that it is in good condition and very clean. We are very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come back to stay with us again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was in a great location on the island. Very easy to get to activities. Unit was smaller than expected. OK for two adults. Bathroom was VERY small and dated. Needs some TLC. Also, kitchen could use a few more pots and pans and cooking utensils. Made a few meals and was able to make do with what was provided. Overall, a very quiet and relaxing vacation.

  This was our first time at Kiawah Island, SC and we really got lucky with the home we rented on line. The space was lovely and comfortable. You could hear the ocean from the screened in porch and smell the salt air. Where the home is located is ideal. You are literally less than a minute walk to the beach. It was so convenient! The property management was excellent. We needed help connecting to the internet and someone stopped by in less than an hour on Sunday to help. Amazing! We would stay here again and recommend this home to anyone else.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.
