Gorgeous view, modern apartment, all amenities... perfect vacation rental.
What a beautiful view!! My wife, 2yo daughter, and I stayed for a couple of weeks, and really enjoyed our time there. It's a newly renovated building, brand new apartment with brand new appliances, and all the mod-cons; cable TV, WiFi, etc. Very comfortable. The owner is a really nice guy, very helpful, a pleasure to deal with. I recommend this apartment highly as a great penthouse getaway.

This dead end street marks the beginning of one of the coolest local walking trails in South Bay. I do not recommend bringing small children that are not either being carried by you, or otherwise tethered to you. This trail is along an ocean cliff at the beginning. Pets are welcome (leashed) along this route. It ends on the far end at Trump National golf club, but there are shorter loops to explore along the way, and several trails that get you down to the water. I highly recommend doing this one at sunset/dusk. To walk to Trump and back is approximately 1.5 hours. It can be run in maybe half the time. If nothing else, you can walk out for the view (50 yards), and then back to the car....MoreCollapse
This park has some amazing views, and a bell that was given to the US by South Korea. It can be windy here, which means bring your kite, and your jacket. Also has a basketball court with a very premium view! There is also a nice playground for the kiddies. Bring a picnic on a nice day and enjoy!...MoreCollapse
This is hands down one of the best places in LA to be served a cocktail (or meal) with a view. There are six top notch dining establishments here, along with some great fire pits for lounging with a cocktail. If you budget conscious, skip the frills and enjoy the host of public walking trails here, or walk down to the public "beach", rocky, but very serene and secluded. Bring your own chairs/umbrella, or rent some on site; same goes for kayaks and mountain bikes....MoreCollapse
This is where the barge is placed to shoot off a massive display on the 4th of July. The experience from the condo is truly one of a kind. The locals also are very into their pyrotechnics, so the panoramic view really allows you to see the San Pedro show, as well as those put on by locals all around you, in addition to those you can see in the distance, from Long Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and municipalities inland....MoreCollapse
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We have lived in San Pedro since late 2005 and just love it here. While our family (myself, Steph, Rowen, Elin, and Marlin, the pup) has outgrown the one bedroom condo, it is very unique and we love sharing it with travelers who are looking for a really unique place from which to explore LA. We look forward to welcoming you!
Why the Owner Chose San Pedro:
Having lived in LA for many years, I knew nothing about San Pedro until I took a motorcycle ride on a coastal route along the Palos Verdes peninsula one day. It is truly one of the more beautiful roads and areas in California, rivaling the Big Sur area in some respects. On that day, I found a condo complex under renovation and was able to hand select this unit before it was built, as the first to inquire about the property. As you can see, but not fully appreciate in the pictures, this place is a destination in and of itself. It feels very metropolitan at night, with its spectacular city views, and during the day, the panoramic ocean views, including the cool boats coming in and out of port is spectacular. San Pedro is equidistant to all of the great things that LA and Orange Counties have to offer, while having a really outdoorsy, small town feel of its own. You can easily occupy yourself with world class dining at places like Trump or Terranea Resorts, or help yourself to a spectacular range of seaside hikes/activities in the area.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
I love having coffee or wine on the deck; BBQs with friends; it is a great place for entertaining friends as well, with a very spacious/open feeling and lots of seating.
