Just refurbished Victorian charm! New paint, refinished floors, six bedrooms, updated bathrooms and kitchen, new furniture, and all only a few blocks from the beach! That’s why you'll want to stay at the Lucky Lady.
You will have the run of the house. Six spacious bedrooms with 10 ft ceilings. Two full bathrooms and a full kitchen, a living room, and dining room all with updated Victorian charm. The gracious porch is possibly the most wonderful feature of the house. If you’re not on the beach or sleeping, the porch will be your favorite place to hang out. You are sure to enjoy the exquisite breezes.
You’ll find yourself relaxing in a quiet, serene neighborhood and blessed to be close enough to hear church bells on Sunday.
Two floors of bedrooms: One bathroom and three bedrooms on each. A bedroom on both floors is a “bunk room.” A bunk room is a bedroom equipped with two sets of bunk beds. So each “bunk room” accommodates 4 single sleepers. The other bedrooms are delightfully roomy with king size, queen or full size beds.

Vous y serez chez vous. Six grandes chambres avec 3 m de hauteur sous plafond, deux salles de bain, cuisine toute équipée, salon et salle à manger, le charme victorien avec le confort moderne. Par son élégance, la véranda est peut-être la partie la plus agréable de la maison. Quand vous ne serez pas sur la plage ou en train de dormir, c’est la véranda que vous choisirez pour vous détendre et profiter de la brise marine.
Vous pourrez vous relaxer dans un quartier calme et tranquille et aurez le plaisir d’entendre sonner les cloches de l’église le dimanche.
Les chambres se trouvent sur deux étages : une salle de bain et trois chambres à chaque étage. Une des chambres de chaque étage est équipée de quatre lits superposés (2 x 2) pouvant donc coucher individuellement 4 personnes. Our family spent a week at this charming vacation home in Ocean City. We have stayed at several homes in Ocean City in the past so there was definite room for comparison to other properties. A plus for this property was the two parking spaces in the rear. We had a large group staying in the house and so we would drive a car loaded with the beach chairs, canopy, coolers, boogie boards etc to the beach and then head back home and park the car. Really appreciated it upon our arrival on Saturday afternoon. The front porch was the favorite gathering place in the morning and after a day at the beach. It could have used more seating. We saw some Adirondack chairs in the side yard and moved them on to the porch. We also appreciated the linen service for all the beds in the house. It made room in the cars for the things we really wanted to use during the week. The biggest complaint we had with the house was the lack of comfortable seating in the house itself. The house could accommodate a large group but there was really no place in the house to gather and be together. The living room furniture was very limited and so watching a movie in the evening or sitting and relaxing as a group was out of the question. Seating for dinner was divided between the dining room and porch. The other suggestion we made to the homeowner after our stay was the need for more towel bars or hooks in the bathrooms or bedrooms to get beach towels and bath towels dried between uses. We used the railing on the porch for the beach towels and most of the house guests had to drape their bath towels over furniture in the bedrooms. We didn't bring our dogs to the house and although the house was "pet friendly" the small side yard would have been better for pets if it was completely fenced in. We loved how close the house was to the farmers market that is held mid-week and Saturday morning. The house can sleep a large group but I would not recommend it for a group larger than 10-12.Owner response: Dear Janine, Thank you for your review. I’m so glad you enjoyed the house and location! This was our first year of renting out the 6 bedroom for weekly rentals. Your mention of our providing sheets is a great point! I’m sure people planning large group sleeping arrangements will continue to appreciate its value. The house does have more focus on spaciously sleeping large groups or families comfortably because, honestly, there aren’t many properties left on the island that can achieve that goal for the demand of big families who want to stay together and yet still have the opportunity to fall back into their rooms for a little down time. The families who brought their dogs were delighted I had gated the beautiful front porch so they could enjoy fresh air relaxation with their pup safely at their side; however, for safety and liability we will not be fencing in the side yard as we need each owner to contain their dogs at each respective unit, for both the 6 bedroom unit and the 2 bedroom unit. In October we added more towel bars to the bathrooms, which had been updated before last summer; apparently we missed those key items. We are thinking of offering more portable drying racks that can easily be used by guests who need them within their own bedrooms, where there is plenty of space to dry the extra personal towels. You’re right on with the living room seating … I’ve been looking at a sectional for comfy group seating; however, I may add large bean bags or occasional seating to the 2 brand new full size couches for the 2012 season to keep the floor space open and flexible to meet the unique needs of each family or group. In the dining room we just hosted 19 guests for a sit down dinner on Thanksgiving by adding an extra table that will stay at the property.

Our large, family group - including dog - had a wonderful June vacation in this clean, well-appointed rental home. With a wagon for the baby and younger child, the few blocks' trek to the beach was easy. The house is close to shops, grocery, bike rentals, etc. The Dog Beach, a short drive away, is possibly the finest dog beach in the world! One of the best features is the front porch, where we spent most of our at-home time. The kitchen is well appointed for cooks who need "all the right stuff." The owner was attentive and responsive to our needs. One of our all-time best vacations!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the "Lucky Lady" along with my sister and her family. My own children are grown; but through the years I had enjoyed renting the "usual" newer duplexes in Ocean City. Although we enjoyed out vacations; I am now transfixed by the calming effect that a more traditional shore home offers. (Especially since it comes with modern conveniences...) The bay breeze here was magnificent; and being an avid reader, I found the porch to be the perfect venue for enjoying my latest book with a cup of coffee in the morning. It brought me back to my childhood; which was spent vacationing in Ocean City as well. How wonderful! The home has plenty of room for large families; and the kitchen is well equipped for those of us who actually like to cook while vacationing!! (Well-stocked kitchens was oftentimes a challenge at other rentals..) Wednesday's brings the farmers market with locally grown produce, and there's pony rides for the children not 1/2 a block away. And, of course, the beach and boardwalk is just a few blocks from the Lucky Lady. My overall experience was quite satisfying; however I cannot leave this comment page without mentioning how welcoming the owner, Monique, was. Monique made sure that all of my needs were met; and shows in her gracious manner that she has invested her heart and soul in this; Truly a "Shore House"; in every sense of the word!!....I hope to return next summer!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My kids and I stayed at the Lucky Lady in July, 2011. We had a wonderful time! The home is HUGE with abundant room to move around while offering a great deal of privacy when we needed it. There are so many sleeping options, we had our choice of bedrooms! The newly renovated bathrooms are lovely...the one on the second floor is large, bright and spa-like with double sinks and a claw foot tub. The ocean turquoise color scheme is very soothing. The bathroom on the third floor has a jacuzzi tub! The updated kitchen provided me with everything I needed for cooking our meals, which we enjoyed eating on the large front porch. We had the choice of using the the large dining room as well, but the view and that gorgeous breeze on the porch was so inviting! The location is great...I parked my car upon arrival and didn't have to move it once! We were within walking distance of the beach, boardwalk, Tabernacle, etc. Ocean City's quaint downtown, chock full of great shops and restaurants was also just minutes away. The Lucky Lady was a charming alternative to the "cookie cutter" duplexes available to renters. We felt like we were staying in a real "home" :-)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers.

I stayed downstairs last year.The place was very clean, and we had a nice relaxing time. Last year, the owner Monique gave me a tour and told be about her plans to remodel. I visited the house at Easter for another tour. Wow! She has done a wonderful job. I love the new layout of the family room and the kitchen. The bedroomsrooms are large and bright. They seem larger than the photos show. She has king size beds in most of the rooms. The bathroom on the top floor is pretty glamourous.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, pet owners, families with teenagers.
Owner response: As the 6 bedroom main house of the property has developed it's been a delight to vision families having a great time within the walls of our Lucky Lady. If it feels good to hang out and relax now....oh la la...when the windows are open and summer relaxation surrounds us!

Ocean City has a special place in my heart and I'm sure she will capture yours too. Something that I cherish about this home is the breeze that goes through the house and we enjoy on the front porch. Everything is here, our rooms are spacious, kitchen and baths updated. This is a large property with plenty of space and she's ready to host your 2013 vacation. I own a local spa as well and offer special packages for our guests. Come, sit and stay a while. YOU WILL LOVE THIS SWEET SPOT!
