Our Mount Holly property has many great amenities to entertain children of all ages. The main lodge has space for everyone indoors and out with an open floorplan and multiple decks. The Spencer house adds additional sleeping as well as 2 bathrooms, another full kitchen and a living room with an HD flat screen, DVD & IPOD docking stereo.
The choices are simple on a sunny day....lazy days by the heated pool, a chilly swim at a local waterfall or maybe a day long venture to Echo Lake for swimming, boating, etc. Spend cool clear evenings by the bonfire or in the hot tub staring at the milky way or counting shooting stars.
But what if it rains? The Lodge's game room is complete with a pool table, shuffleboard table and 50' flat screen with Wii. There are many puzzles and games, book & magazines, cards and poker chips....or head over to the garage for ping-pong or darts.

We went as a group of 8 adults and 2 small children; first thing I can say is that we had plenty of room! Everybody had is own room so more privacy which was really appreciated. Also each floor had is own bathroom so again only the rooms on that floor had to share. The amenities were great, the chalet well maintained and well equipped (pots and pans, plates in good quantities...) The owners are clearly proud of their house and take very good care of it. I would say that the only disappointing point was that we could not use the pool as the filter was broken. We got there on a Thursday, I guess the housekeeping staff contacted the owners on the Friday, by Saturday someone was supposed to come in to repair it, but unfortunately no one came... The pool was the reason why we chose that house so very disappointed even though it was not the owners fault. Adults did enjoy the hot tub, but not remotely appropriate for a 3 year-old and a 11 month-old! The owner was great pointing us to great activities with great directions to get there: we went hiking and we went to Echo Lake -great little beach for the kids with loads of activities. We mostly cooked at home but we did went to the Ludlow's farmers market to get a sample of Vermont food. Overall, excellent location, but remote, great owner (she called to keep us updated on the pool repair and to know if we got there safe and sound)! Highly recommended.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
