Come to The Heron's Nest for your next vacation!!!
4 BRs. 2 1/2 baths on the Intracoastal River! Close to the Ocean--- only 2 city blocks away. Great sunsets!!!!
Enjoy the sunsets that The Heron's Nest has to offer while sitting on the 750 s.f. wrap around porch overlooking the Intracoastal River in Daytona Beach on beachside or from inside in the Greatroom. Walk to the beach for a swim or 4 blocks to Seabreeze Blvd. for your favorite meal.
This home has been elegantly decorated with large, ornately carved pieces of antique European furniture. The kitchen has stainless appliances with granite countertops. The 1000 s.f. Greatroom has a huge flatscreen TV with large comfortable couches, a large, new kitchen, and a spectacular view of the river. There is a formal living room with a wonderful fireplace. The 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths complete the luxury you'll enjoy with true comfort.
The owner has truly evolved this house to an elegant river home. This home is definitely not your usual 'rental' home with sparse, inexpensive furnishings. It definitely is more suited to adults looking for a relaxing, gorgeous home to enjoy as their getaway. You'll want this for your 'home away from home'.
The Heron's Nest has 4 bedrooms-- 3 queen beds and 2 twins that can be put together to make a queen. It has 2 1/2 baths. There is a greatroom/kitchen/ lounge with 2 large couches and a flat screen TV that sits on a huge, carved buffet.
The wrap around porch looks out over the Intracoastal River and has the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see anywhere! There are 4 Adirondack chairs, coffee table, a bar, and a dining table with chairs on the porch. It's a beautiful place for breakfast, a glass of wine, or an outdoor sit down dinner with friends or family.
The Heron's Nest is close to all venues, shopping, restaurants, the beach, and of course, the river and is a little over an hour drive to all Disney attractions and the space center.
Smoking outside only.

In May of this year my wife and I took my daughter to Disney in Orlando Florida. After a week of Disney we needed to relax on the beach, so we booked the Herons Nest in Daytona Beach FL. Once we arrived in Daytona we were so astonished by this house and the view of the sun setting over the river. My wife and I spent 3 of the best days of our vacation just sitting on the deck drinking wine and enjoying the rivers breeze. During the day we would walk to the beach side for shopping and fun days at the beach, which was fun. However we would always make it back to the house for the sunset. After the vacation was over it was very hard to leave this place. We have just booked our vacation for next year we are spending 3 days in Disney and 7 at the herons nestRecommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I have been staying at the Heron's nest for years (around 15 to be exact). In fact, when I am in the Daytona area I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. My girlfriends and I love the amazing patio. We spend hours sitting on the patio, drinking coffee, listening to music, and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. There is so much to do in the Daytona area, but to be honest with you it is hard for me to leave the Heron's Nest. I am from the big city of Houston, and to be able to sit in my pajamas and drink my coffee with the view offered at the Heron's Nest it is truly difficult to pull myself away from the patio. When we do leave the Heron's Nest, we always spend one day driving up the coast to visit the historical town of St. Augustine. St. Augustine has incredible shopping and great places to eat!! The drive to and from St. Augustine on A1A is one you will never forget. Oh, and you will not want to miss lunch at Snack Jacks in Flagler Beach (on the way to St. Augustine). Snack Jacks is located directly on the beach and the Fish Sandwich is the bomb!! Very casual... Another great place in the Daytona area you will not want to miss is the "Ocean Deck". On Saturday afternoon, they have Karoake!! Great food, great music, and right on the beach!! Another great place to visit while in Daytona Beach is the Flee Market! It is huge -- one of kind -- and always on my to do list!! Only open on the weekends. The really cool thing about the Heron's Nest is that is extremely close to everything, but far enough away that you do not have to deal with traffic and parking. You can walk to the beach, or better yet just hang out on the patio (my personal favorite!!).Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We booked this property for a women's retreat, we expected the house to be close to the beach but we got so much more. The pictures are true to reality, the porch is amazing, a great place to watch the sunset or enjoy the morning air. The home owner has done a great job upgrading this house, and she is amazingly nice! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway. Close to the beach and right on the river, I promise you will not be dissappointed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
