Year round cottage on pristine Lake Willoughby (called the Lucerne of Vermont). Approximately 1,400 square feet, 3 BR upstairs, large kitchen and large living area downstairs. But most people love to live on our west-facing deck (where you can enjoy the afternoon sun and breath taking sunsets) or relax in our hammock chairs in the screened-in porch. This cottage is right on the water! Hardwood floors downstairs and in the master bedroom. Half bath upstairs, and full bathroom downstairs, with tub and shower.
This cottage is a place to find peace but also experience great fun and joy. This cottage is unique because of the trees and undeveloped parcels on each side, you can feel completely private ... but you won't feel isolated because you can enjoy watching kayakers or kids in the lake, etc.
The sunsets from our deck or screened in porch will truly take your breath away. We hike nearby Mt. Pisgah or Mt. Hor on a daily basis. Kayak, canoe, wind surf or bring your own power boat (we have a dock and boat lift). The fishing is unbelievable. The lake is so clean, most cottages use it as their drinking water!
We have loved this cottage from spring-fall for 20 years, but the previous owners used it as a year round home from 1961 - 1989. A new oil furnace will keep you toasty-warm on cool mornings or evenings.
