This rental was literally perfect. I could not asked for anything better. Everything is exactly as it is in the photographs and as described. The own was more than helpful and a very nice guy. My description would have to be as follows: unique location, close to the best area beaches and restaurants, friendly people, comfy & safe home away from home, and lastly, get a car for a week and have the best time of your life. This was not our first time visiting St. Martin's but the first to rent at Nettle Bay Resort. The grounds and unit described were very accurate and met all of our expectations. One of the best attributes of this rental was the welcoming and assistance we received from the owners Thierry and his wife, Irene. They were always available and ready to help us in any way to ensure we had a good holiday. We mostly enjoyed the beaches and the relaxing atmosphere of the island. We would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends. We have already booked this unit for a return vacation next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thierry and Irene are wonderful hosts. This is a simple, clean,safe and real home if you want to spend time on the island. I cannot say enough about their attention and kindness. They sat us down and gave us great recommendations during our stay. The time we spent on the deck gazing at the beautiful waters was healing and peaceful. I will tell you if you are looking for glam and glitz, this is not the place for you, but if what you seek is simple, gorgeous and great sheets! We would returning heartbeat , and look forward to spending more time getting to know Thierry and Irene.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Nettle Bay Beach club is quiet, safe and the tennis is great. This studio apartment is clean, well maintained, has everything you need, just as described in the listing. The pools are clean with comfy chairs and very few people. Good bed ! Thierry and Irene are both very helpful and friendly. I would certainly recommend this unit to others and would consider it again if returning to St. Martin. I even hope I can buy a propriety there for my retirement. I loved the community and the vibe. We loved the breeze as well, it helps when is too hot. A special place, a discovery ! Highly recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Nettle Bay Beach club is quiet and safe. This studio apartment is clean, well maintained, has everything you need, is just as described in the listing, and is roomer than you think. The private deck and the view are awesome! The pools were clean with comfy lounge chairs and very few people. Bed and futon were both comfy. Thierry and Irene are both very helpful and very accomodating owners! They will ensure you have a great stay! Be sure to tap into all their island knowledge. My fiance and I stayed and this listing recently and absolutly loved it! The listing was exactly as described and met our needs perfectly. Thierry was an excellent host and very helpful. As described in other reviews, he pointed out excellent beaches, restaurants, bars etc. to visit while we were on the island. We went to Saint Martin on honeymoon and had the best time of our lives, in no small part down to having found this wonderful apartment. The beach club it is part of is quiet and safe, with four beautiful pools which are often empty and calm. The studio is larger than than it first appears in the pictures and has everything you would need. Thierry and Irene were both very helpful and accommodating and made every effort to ensure our stay was perfect. They recommended the best beaches, restaurants, and bars and always had practical advice on how to make the most of our time on the island. In fact when we arrived Thierry sat us down with a map and ran us through everything - where to go for breakfast, when the traffic gets bad, the nearest supermarkets... We found that this apartment suited us in particular as we like the freedom of cooking for ourselves and renting a car to explore where we are staying. The beach at Nettle Bay isn't the best on Saint Martin - but Baie Rouge and Plum Bay both definitely are and are five minutes away by car. The supermarkets Thierry recommended were wonderfully provisioned and reasonably priced. In short if you are looking for a great place in a nice part of the island with a very trustworthy and welcoming owner, this is the place for you! We were very excited by the photos on this site and by our initial communications with Thierry - and when we arrived we found everything to be even better than we had imagined! St. Martin is an absolutely beautiful island. Thierry and Irene were extremely helpful and kind during our stay. The studio was the perfect size with an amazing view. The kitchen was tiny but it had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner everyday. We rented a car during our stay and tried to make the most of it by going to visit most of the beaches on the island. We would recommend Baie Rouge which is just down the street from Nettle Bay. We enjoyed or stay so much that we are already talking about returning next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

This studio condo is perfect. It’s clean, nicely decorated and has a great terrace. The Kitchen is fully stocked with whatever utensil you may need. There is an ocean view and a pool. It’s close to great restaurants, great beaches yet far from the tourist places (Bay Oriental). The quaint French town of Marigot is only a five minute drive away. The condo is on the Ocean not the Lagoon, so the bugs are few. The complex is not tacky and nor is it in disrepair, as are many places on the island. On top of all this, the place is a great value. Thiery and Irene are incredibly thoughtful and will do there best to help you to enjoy your vacation. I cannot recommend this Studio and these hosts enough. We would definitely return to this VRBO.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We rented this unit at the last minute due to an unforseen cancellation elsewhere. Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise. This unit was in a perfect location for us on the French side, but so very close to the Dutch side. It really is not necessary to rent a car as there is a market, bar and restaurants all within walking distance. Thierry was extremely personable and so easy to deal with. He was very helpful with information regarding the island, places to go and things to do. My son enjoyed Scuba Diving at a location recommended by Thierry. We also rented Jet Skis and had a wonderful time Horseback riding on the Dutch Side (?Lucky Stables). There is just so much to do if you want to be busy. There are many quiet beaches for just relaxing if that is your thing as well. We found the unit to be just as described in the listing. It was very clean and everything was in excellent working order. We only used the air conditioner on the last day as we had amazing breezes when the windows were open. Another plus is this unit is located in a gated secure community, not that there were any problems, but it gives you greater peace of mind. Despite the fact that it was a studio and better suited for 2 people, we did just fine having our son along with us. It was much better than having a standard hotel room. I would recommend the unit for a couple looking for a quiet retreat or romantic getaway. I would not hesitate to rent from Thierry again in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

My wife and stayed in the condo for two weeks at the end of February. We normally stay at a resort when staying in the Caribbean, but chose this less expensive option because we wanted to get a flavor of the local island. We booked a rental car and used the condo as our home base to explore the entire island. We have used VRBO before but were a little concerned about this listing prior to booking because there wasn’t any travel reviews of the property (we reserved it in January). We can now say, were very happy we chose this property. We found the owner to be extremely courteous, friendly and very hospitable. He responded quickly to any questions both prior to booking and during our stay. The condo was exactly as depicted in the pictures. The owner recently remodeled it and it met our needs in every way. The area is quiet. We would definitely book here again and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay on this beautiful island.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I chose to stay here because of the awesome location and because of how helpful the condo owner was from the moment we first contacted him. The condo is very nice and the owners are very inviting and helpful when planning your stay in St. Maarten. I would recommend this place to anyone vacationing in St. Maarten! We would love to make return visits to this island and would chose to stay here each time.
