Nice Weekend Getaway

Guest: Sarah (Marietta, GA)
Date of Stay: 10/21/11 Review Submitted: 10/24/11

This cabin was a great value. Everything was clean, worked well and there were plenty of things to do! Had a great weekend getaway there, and would definitely consider returning for another stay. Not quite as private as we thought, but that didn't bother us much. It's a little far from downtown Blue Ridge, but again, did not bother us--the drives around the area were GORGEOUS and picturesque. Overall, a great place to stay!

Our stay was everything and more than we expected.

My husband and I stayed at the cabin with 3 other couples and 1 single person. The cabin is so roomy and well furnished. It is just beautiful and very clean. The area is just beautiful, with many things to do. Long walks or short walks to take in the scenery are a must. It is quiet and serene. The balcony adds a lot to the cabin so one can view the area. The photos do describe the cabin as it is.The description is accurate regarding the location. The owners are hands on by phone if there is any problem. There are many things to see, swinging bridges, flowing streams. The drive to the cabin is an awesome drive. We took a drive to the town of Blue Ridge, a quaint place to visit. I loved the whole experience.

BLUE RIDGE GETAWAY

Guest: Tom (Fort Myers, FL)
Date of Stay: 09/15/10 Review Submitted: 09/16/11

My sweetheart and I recently spent some time at this cabin in northern Georgia. The drive to our destination was very enjoyable with beautiful scenery along the way. The cabin itself was very well constructed with great attention to detail. The weather was perfect (moderate temperatures and very dry).It is in a very secluded area and has trails for very enjoyable walks. There are small towns within a close proximity with very nice shops and restaurants. It was in every way a very relaxing and enjoyable time.

Perfect Long Weekend Retreat

Guest: Dani Winn (South Florida)
Date of Stay: 09/02/11 Review Submitted: 09/11/11

Our family (2 adults with an 11 year old son) wanted a long weekend retreat from humid and hurried South Florida. We flew into Altanta and w/in 2 hrs, found ourselves on curving tree -lined roads with sunlight peeking through like sparkling diamonds. We passed a security gate and a few yards down the road, made a quick left turn to come upon a three story pine cabin. The cabin was warm and inviting. Professionally decorated with plush furniture and whimsical effects, the cabin was immaculately clean and called you to curl up by the fireplace with a favorite book and a cup of tea. Activities are plentiful. The cabin is surrounded by national forest lands. My family enjoyed hiking every day on short nature trails. There were plenty of trails to choose from: hour-long easy/short trails to day-long difficult/long trails. We definitely recommend a visit to the Swinging Bridge over the Toccoa River. Go there and enjoy being a kid again. Stretch out your arms, grab the side rails, and shake side to side! After you're done scaring each other to pieces, make sure to run down to the Toccoa River to cool off and hop from rock to rock. We took time to visit nearby town of Blue Ridge; they had wonderful restaurants and boutique shops - highly recommend "Harvest on Main." A visit to the "Cabin Down the Road" was just what we needed; perfect rest and restoration from the hustle and bustle of city life. We are looking forward to going back soon.

Great New Years Weekend

Guest: kerry (Atlanta, GA)
Date of Stay: 12/30/10 Review Submitted: 01/05/11

We rented this house with 2 other couples for 3 nights over New Years. It was exactly what we were looking for! There was a room and bathroom on every floor, so it never felt crowded. Very comfortable 3 bedroom house, nice up-to-date kitchen with everything you could need. The room downstairs with the pool table was very spacious with a mini fridge and second flat screen TV. We spent one day hiking on a nearby trail and ventured into town. Overall a great experience!
