Great Place, Great Location
Great Place, Great Location
I spent three weeks here this past winter and was very comfortable. The kitchen is very well appointed and the living room and dining area are generous, so it was a pleasure to have friends along with me and cook, eat, and hang out together. The two upstairs bedrooms are very comfortable, and the room with the two twins just off the living room is serviceable although a little small for two adults and all their stuff. The unit is quiet and has a nice view. Best of all is the location. You can walk to the gondola for Beaver Creek, as well as to the grocery store, Sports Authority, and restaurants--or it's just a short drive to these stores and all have ample parking. The last two years I've spent a few weeks in other units also owned by Bette in this same development and find this location just excellent. The owner is easy to deal with and concerned about your satisfaction with and comfort in the unit. Beaver Creek is a great mountain and Vail is just a short drive away. This is an excellent home base from which to explore either. I'll be back!

Wonderful -- feels close to nature
Wonderful -- feels close to nature
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. From the living room, you can see both up and down the river valley and have wonderful views of Eagle River. It is the best unit in Canyon Run, in terms of views of the river. In fact, you feel like you're in the mountains while inside this unit, which (sadly) is not the case for many condominium units in Eagle County. The unit is beautifully furnished. Very large. Our kids loved it. Kitchen had everything and more. You can tell the owners of the unit treat their guests well.

Escape from the Texas Heat
Escape from the Texas Heat
Great property. We stayed for almost 2 weeks and cannot think of one bad comment to make. The condo is is open and spacious. Very nice furnishings. Super location that is close to Beaver Creek, Edwards and Vail. As the review title states, we were in Colorado to escape the Texas heat. This condo is just steps from the Eagle River and to leave the windows open at night and listen to the river run is both cooling and soothing for us Texans leaving the 100+ degree days in the Lone Star state in early August.

Loved this place ! Very nice, clean, spacious condo. Crack the windows at night and the small river that flows close by will lull you to sleep. 3 good size bathrooms (loved the water pressure). New appliances, or at least well maintained, including refrigerator and washer and dryer. Great location. An excellent bakery is an easy, few minutes walk away. The only slight draw back is I do not recommend the twin beds for adults over 6' tall, but that bedroom would be ideal for kids. We definitely will be staying here again and I highly recommend.

Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: We live in Greenwood Village, Colorado and spend as much time as our busy lives allow in our condo in Avon. We love Canyon Run so much that in 2005, we bought a second condo for family overflow. Our adult children visit periodically. The remainder of the year it is available for rental.
Why the Owner Chose Avon:
Nestled at the base of the Beaver Creek entry road, and fronting the Eagle River, Canyon Run is a perfect location for year round mountain activities. We chose Canyon Run because of its wonderful river location, and have grown to love the Town of Avon and all it has to offer as well. Avon provides immediate access to Beaver Creek, and is only 8 miles from Vail. Family friendly, Avon is centrally located in the Vail Valley with reasonably priced restaurants, a recreation center, library, and is home to some conveniences such as the only Wal-Mart in the Vail area. Hiking and biking trails are prevalent in the area. Golf courses are everywhere (15).
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Enjoy waking up to the sounds of the river, or having coffee or tea on the balcony surrounded by trees while enjoying river and mountain views. The private entrance and garage make the condo feel much like a home. In the winter we enjoy skiing. In the summer we enjoy watching the kayaks and rafters maneuver down the Eagle River. The Avon kayak park is just west of the condo complex and can be accessed by kayak from Canyon Run. Fishing is just outside your back door and can be accessed directly from the property. Beaver Creeek, Eagle Vail, Sonnenalp, Arrowhead, Vail, and Cordillera golf courses are mere minutes away.
