'Gull Harbour' in Bodega Bay
'Gull Harbour' is a 4-bed/3-bath (sleeps 8-10) 2300 sq.ft. private home on Gull Drive in the Bodega Harbor subdivision of Bodega Bay. It backs up to the 9th Tee of the Bodega Harbor Golf course and has gorgeous views of Bodega Head, Doran Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The house is well-laid out with vaulted ceilings in all rooms, beautiful wood molding, skylights and tall picture windows. Beach access trail right across the street.
Layout of House: There are 2 levels to the home. The only room on the lower level is the garage and the entry. There is also a second entry off the kitchen adjacent to the front walkway avoiding main stairs. All area's of living are located on the second level. Bedrooms are located to the rear of the home while the kitchen/dining/living room areas are located in the front of the home. There is a gate in the home to block off the entry stairs if needed for families.
Bedrooms/Baths: Master Bedroom #1 sits in the rear of the home facing Doran Beach with vaulted ceilings and large picture windows with wonderful white water views of Doran Beach/Bodega Bay and the 9th fairway. This a large room with a King size bed, TV/Cable/DVD and a separate trundle bed (2-twins perfect for kids). There is also a separate shower with double vanity/toilet closet in this room.
Leaving Mstr Bdrm #1 you pass two closets with extra linens/games with entry to Guest Bedroom #3 on left. This room has a Queen bed with cable-TV and vaulted ceilings. There is a sliding glass door to an adjacent deck with views of Doran Beach/Bodega Bay and the 9th Fairway.
Adjacent to this bedroom is a full-Guest Bath with separate Laundry area.
Guest Bedroom #4 is also adjacent to this bathroom. This room contains a Queen Bed with cable-TV and vaulted ceilings. There is a sliding glass door leading to a deck that looks out over golf course views.
Across from this room is Master Bedroom#2. This large room contains a King bed with cable-TV/DVD, vaulted ceilings/skylight and separate bathroom with shower. Its connected to the deck that faces the front of the home where hot tub sits. Wonderful ocean views.
The Dining Rm/Kitchen/living room is further down hallway up two steps. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all new appliances. The Dining Table sits adjacent and seats 10 guests. We keep the pantry stocked with various seasonings, teas, coffee, foil, saran wrap...etc. Off the kitchen is a separate walkway entrance into the home off the street for guests who wish to avoid the lower level stairs. There is a propane barbecue off this deck.
The Living Room has wonderful views out 4 very large picture windows that face the Pacific Ocean. Lrg. Flat Screen cable-TV/Blu ray/DVD, stero-cd player w/iPOD-iPhone dock, bookcase with a lrg. assortment of books & magazines, and a lrg. assortment of DVD's & Leather couches in this room make it a wonderfully relaxing area to spend with family/friends.
Families: For guests with kids we have located in closets: hi-chair, exercauser, jogging stroller (garage). Closet full of games & Nintendo Video games.
Beach items: Beach blankets, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, ice chests, sand toys located in garage. We even keep a beach pass for families wanting to drive to the State Beach at Doran entrance with all their 'stuff' saving you the $6 parking fee.
What do we/guests love most about the home? The house has a very open uncluttered feel with all the sunlight from skylights/windows and vaulted ceilings. Love being able to walk out the front door to the beach trail . Ping-Pong in the garage and lots of games/activities. Extra pillows/blankets in all rooms. Free long-distance calling to USA/Canada as well. A home away from home without all the 3C's: chores, clutter & chaos.

Why the Owner Chose Bodega Bay
We purchased our first home in Bodega Bay around the corner (on Gull) from this one in 2001. We love the area and renting it out to friends, family & guests. Dave actually did all the mechanical on this home when it was built in the 1990's so we knew it was a solid purchase. Add that to the amazing views of the home & the beach trail across the street and we were sold.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Two beach trails off of Gull Drive...one right across the street. The other leading to the Bodega Harbour Clubhouse/Bistro & Bar.
Great views! Located at the 9th Tee box for golfers that love to 'break' mid game. Kids love the Ping-Pong table. I love going for runs around the Harbour. Hills offer quite the challenge. We love to geocache and have plans to keep a binder of listings in the home (ask us!).
Doran Beach is a wonderful gradually sloping beach for kids to play in. We even keep a beach pass to Doran Park in the home for Guests that want to use the 'day use' area at the State Park. I also like knowing the Coast Guard is stationed behind the park should someone need assistance. We keep lots of beach supplies in the home for families. Being an active family that occasionally rents homes we so appreciate those that offer extra's that we don't have to drag along!

Family that loves the ocean! We are an active family of 5 that loves anything to do with the water. Enjoy the outdoors and working on our cattle/sheep ranches. Very involved in our children's school and community activities. Dave is a Plmbing/HVAC & Electrical Contractor...I'm an RN but currently run Bodega Bay Rentals & kids.

I'll let the reviews below speak to the qualities of the home itself (which is lovely), but I just wanted to add how wonderful Debbie is as an owner. After our weekend at the house I accidentally left behind a set of 7 ramekins (which I'd brought up to the house from my kitchen). I contacted Debbie about them, and she not only went to the house to get them for me, but she packed them up and mailed them back to me right away. The best part – she wouldn't even let me reimburse her for the shipping costs! I've rented MANY homes on VRBO before, and I have to say that this kind of generosity and customer service in an owner is truly something to be valued. Thank you again, Debbie!

Loved the Gull home. Beds are so comfortable that we all slept great, home was well provisioned for cooking, games and beautiful views. Could hear the waves breaking, great walks on the beach and got fresh crabs right off the boats (absolutely delicious). Thanks so much for sharing it. We will be back next year, unless we can find a way to come sooner.

My family stayed at Gull Harbour over Thanksgiving weekend and had a very positive experience. We enjoyed the sweeping ocean views from the home and also appreciated the home's proximity to the beach pathway (an easy 10-15 minute walk). All four bedrooms are nicely appointed and have good natural light. The kitchen has a wonderful array of utensils and dishes for preparing gourmet meals (including a roasting pan and a gravy boat). The pots/pans and knives were also very high quality - for home cooks, these are much-appreciated amenities. We have rented vacation homes in the area before and this was one of the nicest experiences. We hope to be back soon!

There are too few places like this; We immediately felt 'at home'. Easy, comfortable, spacious...And the View! Wow... The Views are so great. Thanks for the nice touches - Beds, Large Dining Table, Internet, Jacuzzi, Towels, Books, Movies, Appliances. Everything was here and made our stay so easy! And the Views!

Greatgrandma's 90th birthday called for a special weekend location with room for four generations to comfortably stay and play together. This beautifully furnished home was perfect! Each bedroom was luxurious in its own way, and everyone found their beds comfy. My daughter's family of 5 enjoyed a large king bedroom/bathroom with lovely trundle beds for the young girls and plenty of space for their toddler's travel bed. Another master BD/BA had access to the outdoor hottub, Most of us enjoyed walking to the beach, and appreciated the beach toys in the garage. Weather was 80 degrees! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Perfect! Everyone wants to come back next year. (Entry is a full stairway)

Arranged a group trip and Gull Harbour was one of three homes our group rented. It is a very nice home to spread out and relax, with large bedrooms. Not all on one level (only a step down from kitchen/din to liv and bdrms), but not a big deal there. Great location right on the golf course!

We had three generations in the Gull Harbour house on Labor day weekend. Great location, house clean and spacious. Well equipped for cooking, beach going or just hanging around and enjoying the views. Great time was had by all and hope to return.
