Amazing Country Retreat

Had the pleasure of spending a long weekend at this country retreat. The house is best described as a country retreat. It is so incredibly quiet with an amazing view from each and every room. There are many activities within a short drive: wonderful wineries, cute little country towns like Boonville, Cloverdale, the coast and redwoods just about 20 to 30 minutes away. It is obvious this house was designed with thought and care. There seems no stone was left unturned. The rooms are set in the right place, well appointed kitchen, bedrooms on a wing that is somewhat separate from the 'living areas', a library, living room, formal dining and eat in kitchen. Yet all the rooms of this house boast a terrific view of the surrounding hills, trees, gardens and wildlife. We visited during the winter months, so the pool was not available. That didn't matter, as we enjoyed the gardens, walks on the property, visits to nearby wineries, country towns with loads of antique shops, art galleries, and a short trip to a nearby redwood forest. There is much to do and see, but the best thing about this place is that you can enjoy yourself right there at the house. You don't need to go anywhere as there is enough to enjoy right there. It all depends on what you want; the best thing is that you have the choice with this property. I rent vacation homes on a regular basis and I would put this place right up there at the top. I am hopeful we will return to stay a bit longer than just a weekend. My next trip will inclue a bike as there are a ton of amazing roads to explore and would be amazing on a bicycle. Hope you like it as much as we did.

My wife and I had the opportunity to spend a wonderful seven days hidden in the hills at the wonderful home. We were close to everything, yet felt like we were in our own little world. The home reflects the owners with all of the fabulous artwork and the creativity it ignites. Open, light yet comfortable. We cant wait for our next stay, and we will be back.
