The location of this studio is phenomenal and within walking distance of everything you may need. A wide variety of theaters, restaurants, bars, and shops are within a $10 cab ride, a 20 minute walk, or a quick hop on the subway. There is definitely not a need for a rental car when staying at this studio. The studio is well appointed with laundry facilities, a full kitchen, great cookware, and even a sewing kit if necessary. There is a 24 hour diner attached to the hotel which is quite convenient. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Toronto, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this studio to anyone. Enjoy your stay!

Dundas Street Studio

What can I say that has not already been said about the Dundas Street Studio! It was outstanding. It was very clean and well equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. Lots of towels, laundry facilities, including the dryer sheets and soap plus a tassimo coffee maker and discs, toaster, and toaster oven, frig everything! I loved all of the *floor to ceiling windows* and the view. There is a couch, desk, bed and the kichenette and a large table with four stools overlooking the great Massey Hall. It was a very quiet building which we appreciated. If you did happen to need anything there is a small store in the lobby of the Pantages hotel. We enjoyed the city shopping, dining, concerts. We really liked the Baton Rouge restaurant at the Eaton Centre on Yonge Street, around the corner! We also liked the Overdraught Pub on Front Street near University Ave. and Ces't What on Front Street near Church Street. Fran's downstairs had good pancakes. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone. This place is perfect. You cannot go wrong, great owners, great location, so central. Close to good restaurants, shopping and transit just outside your door. Park your car and walk anywhere. Shopping, restaurants and theaters are all close by. The condo, while small is perfect for two people. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fabulous Dundas Square Studio

Thank you to hosts Brian and Marco for providing the best accommodations in Toronto. D2S has everything one needs for their visit to this fair city; my main criteria is location, followed by comfort and quiet....oh yes and a washer /dryer to cut down on those heavy suitcases. The studio is furnished tastefully, very clean, and provided with all one needs to cook a meal or relax. Just steps away from subway, bus or streetcar, as well a live theatre, shopping, movies and great restaurants. The Pantages staff are wonderful, providing storage for my luggage for the day,boarding pass printout, airport transportation and a massage at the wonderful Shizen Spa. I can not wait to return to Toronto just so I can stay at this lovely studio. Thanks again. HS / Portugal Cove NL

BEST.PLACE.EVER!!

First of all I have to apologize to Marco and Brian for taking so long to write this review. Life caught up with us after the fantastic trip! I told Brian and Marco I wanted my money back. Why? Because we hardly had time to use their condo! The condo is centrally located to everything, my wife and I were always out and about, there's so much to do. The only time we get to use the condo was just to crash for the night! But seriously, you cannot go wrong with this place. Brian and Marco are wonderful hosts, very keen to help and very quick to respond. The condo even have its own website! With videos and photos (more on this later). Good first impression. Check. Then the day we arrived at the condo.... The condo. What can I say? The condo looked exactly as described and showcased in the videos and photos. I am always cautious about how wonderful a place looked from videos and photos. But I have to tell you, no photoshops and enhancements done here. They are for real! It's clean, tastefully decorated, modern and comfortable. Place is as advertised. Check. If you don't feel like doing home-cooking, no problem. Restaurants everywhere nearby. You want a weekend shopping trip? Why, Eaton Center is just across the street! You want to go to a stage performance? Gee, is that Massey Hall right there? Don't want to experience Toronto's traffic? Walk to the nearby station and jump on the TTC system! Convenience. Check If you're thinking twice about this place, don't. Just do it. I assure you, you will not be disappointed. It's WELL worth it. And no I'm not getting any favors/kickbacks for speaking of this place so highly. Marco/Brian, the next time we come back, I expect you to only charge us by the hour based on how long we spend sleeping in the condo! :) I want to come back!!!!! P.S. This is a limitation on Homeaway.com's side, but I actually gave it 6 stars. Homeaway.com can only display up to 5 for some reason.

We loved our stay at Dundas Square Studio. The owners thought of everything and the location is absolutely superb. Clean, stylish and comfortable. All aspects were handled professionally and efficiently... I hate to say too much as I want the studio to be available for my husband and me!! It was lovely!

I liked my three night stay on business very much. Nice pictures of the property took my expectations high and I was so glad that these expectations were met and exceeded. Place was really clean that is important factor for me. Mattress was great but I have to say pillows lagged behind as those were bit hard for my taste. I will definitely check the availability of the location for my possible future trips to Toronto, let it be business or leisure with my family of three. Guys, if you just add few plump feather pillows to the selection then my stay had not been only full 10 but 10+. :)

Beautiful condo in the middle of everything!

We've been to Toronto a dozen times and at least 3 other times for the Toronto International Film Festival but never has the stay been so comfortable and so memorable as TIFF 2012 when we rented Dundas Square Studio from Brian and Marco. The location is remarkable - it is in the center of everything, right next to Eaton Centre and the Elgin Theatre. I felt extremely safe staying in the condo when hubby was out watching movies late, and I got a ton of work done too, thanks to the great working desk and WiFi plus the awesome view. The kitchen was well-stocked for everything we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. The amenities were great, they even had saline solution for us! We had no issues with anything, the condo is beautiful and the furniture is super comfortable. We loved it so much we booked it already for 2013, and can't wait to return. Can't recommend this enough! Thank you!

Perfect Homebase

First Time to Toronto. We spent 9 days in the city to celebrate our 15th Anniversary and a 50th Birthday. What a Perfect week+ away from family, friends and work. Brian and Marco's studio was the perfect home base, as we tried to take in as much of the city as we could in such a short time. Just steps away from the Queen subway station made it extremely easy to return from the day's activities’ to rest, refresh and be ready to go out for a nice dinner and a night on the town. The studio was very comfortable, had everything we needed as our home away from home and for being in the center of the city, was exceptionally quiet and relaxing. Thank you for everything… We will be back.

Studio was very conveniently located and came exactly as advertised. When the AC had a minor issue, the owner resolved it promptly and courteously. We heartily recommend it!

Super studio in a super location!

We were staying in Toronto for 2 weeks to attend a wedding, really liked the look and location of the Dundas Square Studio and we were not dissapointed. This is a super appartment, absolutely as described on VRBO. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was at hand, from cooking utensils to an umbrella, which we thankfully did not need as our entire stay was blessed with beauriful sunshine! Brian and Marco even had shopping bags in the closet which we used when visiting the local metro store which was listed in the very helpful literature -saved us time trying to locate one. As for the location, it really could not have been better! Just a few steps from Dundas Square which was a hive of activity and entertainment, many tour buses leave from this location and there was also a subway stop in the square. I would have no hesitation in recommending this condo to friends and family and would love to stay there again. Many thanks Brian and Marco for creating such a lovely space

I wanted to stay downton without taking out a second mortgage. Not only is this property priced right, the location is ideal and the property owners are fantastic to deal with. Very nicely appointed with all the amenaties-where for one night or a whole week.

Our trip to Toronto was beyond our expectation at Brian and Marco's condo. The location could not have been better. Everyone we met was friendly and personable. There is so much to see and do within walking distance and the subway system is easy to use. We would definitely stay at this location on our next trip to Toronto.

Dundas Square Studio is awesome. The owners have done a fantastic job in providing a well decorated comfortable place to stay in Downtown Toronto. It had all the comforts of home as well as a great location. It was close to everything. The hotel property is also very nice but once you are in the unit , you feel like you are in your own condo. I would absolutely recommend any future traveler stay there.

Perfect place to stay in Toronto

This studio is definitely a hidden gem; more like home away from home. Brian and Marcos did not miss any details and you will not regret staying here. Location: hands down one of the best ones in the city. Price: very reasonable compared to hotels (who tend to charge extra for Internet). Comfort: bed/sofa bed extremely comfortable. Transportation: subway (TTC) walking distance from everywhere/ easy cab ride anywhere I could go on and on why this place is so special, but all the other reviews pretty much sum up why I would give it 5 stars. If you are hesitating between a hotel/other options and this studio, don't! (stay here, you will not regret it). I miss living in Toronto and now that I found this place, I'm looking forward to returning and staying here in my next visit. Thank you for making our stay so much more enjoyable.

Great week in Toronto

We had to spend a week in Toronto for conferences! It was the perfect spot for us....even if we were 3! Clean and welcoming! Walking distance to many great attractions There is everything we needed.... and we even had time to was our clothes, go shopping at the Eaton center, go to the CN tower.... The bed and sofa-bed are comfortable, kitchen is complete... Great movie selection by the way! Thanks to both of you.....it was a great experience.

Downtown TO in the Studio

I am Torontonian born and raised and I wanted to give my family a downtown experience, although I would give this place 6 stars for "two" people, beautiful, clean, attention to detail to make you feel at home is unprecedented, I would consider the size to be less hospitable to "four" people (two children). This is a kitchenette suite in the Pantages Hotel, one of the nicest quaint hotels in the downtown area. So all the amenities and then some, attached to Remy's diner is a bonus for quick bites. A block away from the Eaton center and Dundas Square is fantastic for sightseekers and shoppers alike, Toronto is slowly becoming New Yorkish with a Canadian flare. We would return again but just the two of us next time. Thank you for being such great hosts. We loved your place and recommend it to many others travelling up there.

The location is amazing, right at the Eaton Centre and in the heart of everything. At the same time the unit is remarkably quiet given that location and the fact that it's in a hotel complex. The building itself is well run and attractive. The apartment is so well supplied you really don't need to bring anything much with you. For instance, I was going to bring my good saucepan but I'm glad I didn't because that very pan was right there in the cupboard. We loved the fact that there was an easy to use coffee-maker. And COFFEE - as well as many other thoughtful surprises. It's small, but fine for two people, might be too cramped with any more than two. Lighting is not the best for reading, especially for reading in bed but, apart from that, it's hard to find anything to complain about. Highly recommended.

Our Hogtown Holiday.

Booking the room for the 4 of us was possible the best thing about the holiday! The location is second to none, providing easy access to all the top spots in and around the city. The proximity to The Eaton Centre meant that shopping could be done without a jacket (which was needed tackling the sales on Black Friday). The welcome pack sent by Brian was brilliant and helped us all reach the apartment with no problems and correspondence throughout the booking was very prompt. The whole experience was seamless. The apartment was amazing and really did make the holiday special. Having a base that included all amenities with a personal touch was priceless. Having the 2011 Best of Now was unexpected but greatly appreciated! Thank you guys for a wonderful stay, we hope that when we return you will have space to accommodate us!

Great condo, great location

We spent 5 nights at the Dundas Studio in early October. Bordering Dundas Square and Eaton Center, you are within easy access to all the Toronto sights. The studio itself is large, beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need (full kitchen minus oven with EVERY gadget; washer/dryer; comfortable bed; corner unit with lots of windows and great natural light). Owners are incredibly responsive and provided all the information we needed (how to get there, get around, what to see and do, logistics of condo). Weather permitting, try the BIXI bike system which is a fabulous way to get around to the various sights, especially since Toronto is so flat.

Thank you very much Brian and Marco! I was in the DSS for two months and I felt like in my own home. The Studio is very close to every interesting places in Toronto walking or by subway. The cleaning of the Studio was great too and everything run very well. I am very happy to have chosen this Studio and I will come here everytime that I will return to Toronto. Very, very recommendable!

Wonderful Studio in downtown Toronto!

My husband and I enjoyed a great week during the Luminato Festival of Toronto. The Dundas Studio was perfectly represented with accurate pictures and promises of clean, comfortable accommodations. The kitchen was extremely well equipped for preparing meals, but we found the Toronto restaurants to be so interesting that we ate most of our dinners out! Toronto has a young, enthusiastic, friendly population. The Dundas Studio is close to the subway and makes travelling to the Distillary district, the museums, Little Italy, Chinatown, and the TIFF convenient. If you like to shop, the Dundas Studio is right in the heart of the shopping area. We found the doormen for the building very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great vacation!

Scored this fabulous condo for a week in early June. The two of us found the condo EXACTLY as described and pictured. It is in a completely practical location and convenient to everything, particularly transportation and a 24 hour market! We walked everywhere in downtown Toronto from here, including the harbor, Kensington Market, the Rex hotel for a 7-piece band doing an outstanding Mingus tribute, the ROM, and AGO. But we also got the Mon-Sun weekly pass and could supplement our walking with a quick ride for a couple of stops on the streetcars and subways, which come every 5 minutes! Took the Queen streetcar east to Lady Marmalade for the best breakfasts of my life, and on to Beach for some local lake action. Brian was delightful to do business with. He runs an incredibly professional service, and provides a 'before-your-arrival' information kit which makes getting to the condo easy. He was proactive in ensuring that we had no surprises and were well-informed of routine maintenance scheduled for the building during our stay. Deposit was promptly refunded. Have rented through VRBO on more than 10 occasions and this is among the very best experiences! Would stay no where else in Toronto!

The condo was exactly as advertised. Everything you need for your stay is there. This is a great location if you are needing to be in downtown Toronto -- it would be hard to be any closer to the center of the city. I have stayed in many vacation rentals before and the owners of this condo are the most organized I have dealt with. The communications with them were clear and detailed and they respond very quickly to any questions. I would recommend staying here without reservation.

Great Downtown Studio!

My stay at this property was great. The property looked exactly like the pictures and I was not disappointed. The space was extremely clean. The location was also great. It was walking distance to everything and not problem getting a taxi. The hotel staff was very friendly and I was able to order room service and use the fitness facilities at a reasonable rate. I have already recommended this property to some friend who will be visiting Toronto and would recommend it to anyone else.

I stayed at the Dundas studio for almost 10weeks from Jan to Mar/2011. The unit is well maintained and well stocked with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The size is perfect for 1-2 people, though 3-4 could fit if you are really friendly with one another. The owners are easily contacted and responded promptly to concerns raised during the stay related to a faulty smoke detector that was promptly replaced. The complimentary starbucks coffee via the Tassimo maker was welcomed on those dark early mornings!!! The effecient washer and dryer, small but well stocked kitchen and good sized refrigerator for a smallish condo, multiple dvd movies, and the small but easily accessible and affordable fitness area (20 $ for the whole month) were also most welcome. The central location made access to all the important events downtown a mere walk away. For those in need of transit, the subway station a mere block away was also very handy. Overall, the owners obviously take pride in ownership of the unit and I would highly recommend the unit for anyone looking for a comfortable and centrally located condo unit whether it be for short or long term rental.

Wish we would have stayed longer! I'd definitely recommend it. It was so nice, that we never left the studio to see the local attractions in the 3 nights we were there! We only left to get groceries and alcohol (2 blocks walk) Hope we come back, and next time we'll do some local entertainment!

Excellent accomodations, it truly exceeded my expectations. It was so lovely, they are so thoughtful and have everything you need. Very clean, it's in a great location and it's less expensive than a hotel and 100,000 times better!!

I booked this condo for My parents stay. And they realy enjoyed the condo. The owners are very attentive and the condo looks exactly as the pictures shown. It is very close to all transportations and centrally located. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants to stay in a very nice place!

Huge thanks to the owners who made things totally welcoming. The Brita water filter was waiting chilled in the fridge to soothe my parched throat when I arrived. The Starbucks coffee in the morning was fantastic. And the views from the floor to ceiling windows were gorgeous. I highly recommend this unit over a hotel anytime!

Thank you Brian and Marco for making our first visit to Toronto FABULOUS! We were exhausted when we arrived in Toronto after a long drive from Michigan. Upon opening the door I knew I made a fantastic decision to rent from the both of you. Your place is beautiful and the attention to detail was greatly appreciated...fluffy towels, plush bed linens, interesting reading material, good selection of DVD's and the simply amazing location. We felt like locals when visiting your city. Enjoyed having our own place but also being part of an upscale hotel while enjoying hotel amentities (workout facility, martini bar and 24 hour diner). We are looking forward to our next stay - in warmer weather! Again, Thank you!
