Located in a quiet rural neighborhood, the 1000 sq. foot apartment is attached to our private home on two acres in the pine woods, it is a short walk to the Little Deschutes river. La Pine is a spectacular outdoor recreation area with a small hometown feeling, and is embraced by the Cascade Lakes, and the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. The property is 3 miles west of the city of La Pine that is a town celebrating 100 years. Its rural, relaxed, friendly atmosphere offers spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The major Deschutes and the Little Deschutes Rivers run close to the town center and the many nearby prairies offer panoramic vistas. Mt Bachelor is a short distance away. In the winter you can take a snow cat to Paulina Lake, also there is a maintained snowmobile track up to the lake. In the winter you can snowmobile, snowshoe or cross country ski out the back door of the apartment, to the national forest. In the spring and summer we are close to about 15 different lakes, for boating and fishing. Places to dine are the Cinco de Mayo Mexican, Hunans Chinese, and the Red Rooster Cafe, Gordys Truck Stop, and Wickiup Junction. We have room on the property to park a boat or RV. In the fall it is the perfect retreat for hunters. La Pine is 30 miles south of Bend, and 15 miles south of Sunriver. It is about 40 miles to the airport in Redmond. Complimentary bottle of wine and a box of chocolates when booking.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It's a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with everything you need to be comfortable. Sharon was very nice and professional. She also left a gift basket with wine and chocolate for us. Nice touch! We enjoyed being able to go explore during the day and come back to relax in to clean and comfortable apartment. Thank you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful, restful vacation. The apartment is clean and many items such as cooking materials, soap, shampoo etc, are provided. We loved the wine and chocolates! We also enjoyed the setting amongst the pine trees, and having a nice place to walk our little dogs. Wish we could have stayed longer.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We knew the minute we walked in we loved this place! We stayed during the Thanksgiving holiday. Even though our friends live just down the road and didn't spend a lot of time here we found the apt to be very comfy, clean and very impressed with everything about this place. Quiet, private and everything you need is right here. Sharon and Oak have taken great care and pride in providing such a lovely place. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. We love La Pine whatever time of year, and we definately will look forward to another stay here. Thanks again!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

WE CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS ABOUT OUR STAY IN LA PINE AT THIS WONDERFUL APARTMENT PROVIDED BY OUR GOOD FRIENDS, SHARON AND OAK! VERY PRIVATE SETTING, WONDERFUL BIG PONDEROSA PINES, LOTS OF DEER AND SQUIRRELS OUTSIDE OUR WINDOWS. VERY NEAT AND CLEAN WITH EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. WE SPENT FOUR MONTHS HERE, 5-15-2012 THROUGH 9-15-2012, AND WERE EXTREMELY APPRECIATIVE OF THE CARING FRIENDSHIP WE DEVELOPED WITH SHARON AND OAK, THEY ARE THE GREATEST! WE PLAN TO RETURN NEXT SUMMER. JACK AND LUELLA, GOLD CANYON, ARIZONARecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

we as a family want to thank Sharon and Oak for such a wonder place tuck away in the woods it looked like a winter wonderland which our children enjoyed taking there sleds right out the front door and played in the snow. Grandma and grandpa have property just around the corner and we were able to walk over and have a wonderful fire out in the snow. we were so pleased with the apt it was fully stocked and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. we as a family cant wait to come back again. we were able to go to the lake and play in the snow and then come back to a warm fire and BBQ just out the back door. we spent a great Birthday weekend here and plan to come back this summer. again thanks Sharon and Oak for having such a cute cabin in the woodsRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I stayed for two nights. The apartment was clean, comfy & had a great outdoor seating area with deck/grill. We like to cook and found the kitchen well equipped. The apartment is attached to the main house but is very quiet & private with a separate entrance and parking spot. It's a great place to stay while exploring Bend, Mt. Bachelor & Crater Lake! We will be back next summer:)Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, romantic getaway.

Thank you Sharon for renting this beautiful place. We told Sharon that we would arrive after dinner and she is very accomodating. Sharon's husband gave us a warm welcome and a very good overview of the place. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room and bedrooms are cozy. Sharon even prepare a gift basket for us. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend our friends to stay there if they visit central Oregon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I stayed at this property with my daughter for 3 nights in February. We found the rental to be just as advertised in the description and photos. It is essentially an apartment off the main house with two bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen with small fridge and hotplate, a comfortable living room with cozy woodstove and lots of nice dry wood, and a large bathroom with nice walk-in shower. There was a TV with cable, and a DVD player in the living room. The owners were very friendly and helpful, even leaving a nice welcome basket with chocolates and wine. The apartment itself was extremely clean and nicely decorated. There are individual heaters in the rooms, but they weren't really needed when using the woodstove, even though it was quite cold outside. Although the apartment is attached to the main house, there were no problems with privacy or noise from the house. Renters have a separate parking space and entrance away from the main house. I would be happy to stay here again and recommend this rental without reservation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We spent a full week during Christmas and found this property to exceed our expectations. There was a Christmas tree, a gift basket and even dinner. The property is attached to the owners home, but was hardly noticeable. The rental has its own private entrance and looks out into the surrounding woods. It was very clean and well cared for. It was located in a spacious neighborhood close to all that Central Oregon has to offer. There was plenty of dry wood available for fires while watching movies or cable TV. We hope to return soon for another stay in this peaceful retreat.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.
