We really enjoyed our time at the Battle House. It is as described, a beautiful home that is well furnished and very comfortable. We never got tired of the view, it really is spectacular. I would recommend this property to my family and friends.

Our family of five stayed in Battle House during Spring Break 2012 and found it to have everything we needed, and more. We have 3 boys, ages 17, 14 and 7 and the house was perfect in terms of accomodations and location. The location is amazing--you can walk down to the lifts if you want or drive and park, yet we felt that we had our own mountain space to build snowmen, watch the deer, etc... The house is likewise incredible--we never needed for anything and we will definitely be back!

Kids first ski trip

My family and I recently stayed at the Battle House over Presidents Day Weekend and had the best time. The home is fantastic, very comfortable with lots of space for everyone. The views around the home are amazing, lots of windows so you can see it all. Very close to the ski lift, maybe a 2 minute ride to the parking lot where the shuttle picks you up, or if you have kids and want to park close you can pay and park next to ski school. The kids have already asked if we could stay here again next year, we all look forward to our next trip to the Battle House.

Wonderful Family Vacation

My family stayed at the Battle House for seven days while visiting family in the area. The pictures of the house do not do it justice. You must see this property in person. The views are amazing. The home is very cozy and comfortable. Cooking in the open kitchen while enjoying the views was relaxing. Watching the mule deer head down the hill in the morning was such a sight for the kids. There was alot of snow so we had to park at the end of the driveway, however it was very easy to get up and down. The kids enjoyed trekking through the snow and sledding on the hill behind the house. The house is a short drive to the ski lift, rentals and store. If you are looking for a great getaway, we would recommend the Battle House.

My family stayed at the Battle House the week after Christmas and had an amazing time. We frequently use VRBO for our vacations and this is the second time we have stayed in Angel Fire. I can honestly say that the Battle House is one of the best houses we have ever stayed in. The house was well appointed, clean and immediately felt like home. Tim has done a great job decorating the house with art work and made sure everything was thought of. The location of the house could not be better. Waking up to the amazing moutain views was amazing. The house is less than 2 minutes from the slopes down a well maintained road. My 3 kids also spent a lot of time sledding on the hill immediately behind the house. Tim is very organized and payment, check-in and check-out was a breeze. He also provides plenty of information on things to do in Angel Fire. My family and I hope we can rent the house again next year!

My daughters (14 and 7) and I enjoyed a wonderful week in Angel Fire! The Battle House was an amazing property with every thing we needed to enjoy a week in a winter wonderland! The snow was plentiful, the skiing amazing, and coming back to the house was a treat! Every detail has been included in this house to make it a special getaway! We look forward to making this an annual event!

Exceptional!! Our All Time Favorite Vacation Home (10/2/11-10/12/11)

My husband and I just returned from the best vacation we have ever had. We have stayed at vacation homes for years and “The Battle House” is truly exceptional. From its location, the incredible views, to the inside of the home, this home has it all. The pictures and descriptions cannot begin to describe the beauty of this home, This home has the perfect amount of seclusion (its located on a hill and there are no other homes surrounding it). There is one other home across the road, but that’s it. You are surrounded by woods. The view from the two huge decks is amazing (during our 10 days there we saw a huge herd of elk crossing the road, we had views where we were above the clouds, and we even had snow in October). To wake up in the morning, and see such breathtaking views just made our day. Also, even though this house feels secluded, you are a small drive away from the town of Angel Fire (in fact once you make the short drive down the hill you are at the ski lifts). We went in the fall, so there was no skiing, but we had everything that a fall vacation has to offer. We saw folks walking their dogs up the road each day so it's very safe. Now that’s just the view from the deck. I haven’t even touched on the inside of the home which is truly exceptional and five-star. This home is HUGE and everything is of the highest quality. You can tell that the owner put a lot of time and care into the building of his home. Also, all of the items in the home are top of the line. Upstairs in the HUGE master bedroom there is the most comfortable king size bed, a thermostat controlled fire place (awesome), a comfy leather chair and bookshelves with various novels in case you’re in the mood for reading. There is also a huge walk in closet, hi def tv and gorgeous bathroom. Downstairs is the most comfortable living room with a couch and two chairs, various footrests, large hi-def television with DIRECTV (my husband + football = heaven), to the huge kitchen with top quality stove, microwave, cookware and dishes. There are also two additional beautiful bedrooms and bathroom. Oh and lovely artwork :) Being in Angel Fire, NM and staying at The Battle House gave my husband and I a truly exceptional, relaxing vacation. We have found our new vacation spot and have no need to look further. In fact, it doesn’t get any better than this. I cannot say enough things about this lovely home, the location, or the view. You will not be disappointed.

Battle House was the perfect retreat for my family. So close to the ski area, we were able to come home daily for lunch (and a nap!). The layout of the kitchen, dining and living areas allowed us to be together as a family. Loved having a separate room for ski stuff, as well as a garage to keep us out of the elements when loading/unloading. This past March was our third trip to Angel Fire. Upon leaving, my husband told me to book again for next spring..... Great, great house!!!

Our stay at the Battle House was absolutely perfect. As great as the pictures are, they do not do the house justice. The view is spectacular, you're two minutes away from the lifts, it's secluded, beautifully decorated. Just a hidden treasure on the back side of the mountain. Thank you so much, this house is perfect! The living room stretched into the dinning room that stretched into the kitchen and is perfect! It is open but warm and inviting. I loved it! The deck screams to come back in the summer and gaze at Wheeler Peak. The location was great for all that Angel Fire has to offer. Hope to see you again next year...and the next...and the next!! You should be very proud of the house you have built! Thanks again.

Hi , My experience in battle house, was great, no only because the good conditions of the house in all aspects Clean, new, well decorate, and the fantastic views, and facilities. The Battle House was an amazing place to stay! My husband deploys shortly with the TXANG - and we had four very precious days to spend with him before he leaves the country. The home was gorgeous with amazing views, and wonderful furniture that appealed to everyone. The kids each had their own room, and my oldest is demanding we 'redo' her closet now in similar fashion. The master bedroom was a perfect retreat for us to enjoy while the kids watched a movie. We spent a day in Taos, and enjoyed coming home after a full day of snowboarding. We bought a sled, and the girls and my husband spent hours sliding down the hills. The best part of the entire trip, was having Tim call to check on us due to our long drive from El Paso. If we had stayed at a hotel, this wouldn't have happened. He helped provide us with a better route that saved us quite a bit of time, and just made us feel really welcome. Thank you so much for giving us the pleasure of staying in your home. It was a wonderful experience.

Fantastic home and set up nicely. It was so nice to come back to this home after a long day of seeing the sights. The master bedroom is out of this world and the views of Wheelers Peak and Moreno Valley from the decks make it extra special. All the residents of Angel Fire that we came into contact with were very friendly and down home. We did not want to leave this beautiful home and wished that we could have stayed longer. Hopefully if we come back to the Enchanted Circle in the future that this home will be available.

We had a great time over Christmas week at The Battle House. My wife and 2 sons and a frien skied and played in the snow by the cabin. It snowed for days.We would recommend the house. Tim and Vicki were quite the hosts. Thanks Tim.

The cabin was beautiful and so clean. My family had a wonderful time in Angel Fire and the cabin made it a home away from home. It has plenty of space and a beautiful view. Close to everything in town. We hope to stay again next year!

The Battle House is a beautiful home with a fantastic view. We were there for Spring Break for skiing, the house is right down the street from the slopes. The house is wonderfully decorated with plenty of room. It made us feel right at home it was completly furnished with everything we needed. We had a perfect family vacation in your beautiful house. The house is well designed, beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well appointed with everything needed for cooking. We especially loved the incredible views off the front decks, from when the sun rose until it finally disappeared behind the mountains across the valley. The Battle house was perfect! Very comfortable furnishings, lots of room to move about, very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen...everything one needs to feel at home! Sitting on either deck and looking at the view of Wheeler Peak with the valley below is awesome! It's in a great location close to the ski lifts, restaurants and shopping but gives the feeling of being enveloped in the forest as well. The Battle House is a remarkable home in Angel Fire. Situated just above the ski area with a scenic view of Wheeler Peak across the valley, it is ideally located for convenience and privacy. The home is genrerously funished and beuatifully decorated with original artwork. Its’ upscale funishings make a stay in this home a vacation in itself. We love spending quiet time on the decks where the only sounds you hear are aspen leaves in the breeze. Great for reading or writing! This home is like a sanctuary providing a renewal of the spirit and wonderful connection with my wife. It is a special place.

We stayed with our children and my parents over the Christmas Break 2004. It was absolutely incredible. The views are breathtaking and the home is perfect. I was a bit nervous renting a home over the Internet, but I can not tell you how pleased we were. The Battle home was spotless, spacious and well stocked. The home is tasteful and comfortable. After a long and tiring drive, I was thrilled to see that the Battle's home far exceeded my expectations. It was spotless. The views from both floors are breathtaking and the picture windows make the home seem even larger than it is. The interior is well done and the kitchen has everything. The house comfortably slept 4 adults and 2 kids. The master suite takes up the entire second floor - it is fabulous! I can not say enough nice things about the home, but I will tell you this... We've already booked for the next year!

We stayed in this beautiful home over Spring Break 2004. It accommodated our family of five easily, and was both spacious and cozy. There are generous amenities, including a well-stocked kitchen and a very well-designed mud room to store your ski gear. The views are breathtaking. The Angel Fire ski resort is a quick 3 minute drive. We look forward to returning to this special home.

Have stayed at this property on two occassions. First time over labor day weekend and the second time during January, ski season. Home and view are beautiful. Location is very convenient to the resort. Overall look of home and furnishings combine the taste of Mountain and Modern. I'm a return customer!
