The Hale Hibiscus is minutes from world class beaches, shopping and Lahaina Town yet insulated from the touresty hue. We are 3 houses from the ocean and just short walk to a full service sandy beach and historic Lahaina Town. Our home named 'The Hale Hibiscus' is a few minutes drive to all the activities available in west Maui. The name describes our tropical garden setting featuring the many colors of the hibiscus, the state flower of Hawaii. Champion golf courses and champion surf beaches are minutes away. We offer 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with one king size bed and 2 queen size beds. A bunk bed with a full bed on bottom, twin on top and a full size futon complete the 4th bedroom. A small sitting room could sleep another person. The large country 'eat-in' kitchen is completely equiped and perfect for preparing all your meals. The tiered deck is covered by a large gazebo situated in our tropical garden. In season you might see the whales at play while preparing your BBQ and sipping your lucious tropical beverage. The scent from our many plumeria trees will delight your senses. From summer to late fall we proudly offer our guests award winning Hayden mangos picked fresh from our trees. The owner is an artist so the house features beautiful artwork and 'touches' of the artist throughout the house.
The very short drive to Kaanapali or Lahaina Town will offer you fabulous shopping, superior restaurants, world renown galleries and all the activities Maui has to offer. Then return home to privacy and tropical beauty so you can re-energize for the next days excursions. With plenty of parking this truly Hawaiian house has all the amenities you would want for a perfect Maui vacation.

Our rented vacation house is by the ocean looking outside the windows I can see the sunset from the horizon Then waving branches of Plumeria and golden trumpet awaiting for rain to cool off the humidity air Then in the morning everthing is fresh to welcome the new day with beautiful rays for the tourist to enjoy the vacation days. Maui is great. We went to beaches. The wether was allways nice. It feelt like it was home. We looked out on the ocean for Whales. We also saw lot's of Gechos. Your house worked well for the nine of us. We really enjoyed the mango, papaya, pineapple and other welcoming gifts. We love the Hale Hibiscus and will be back when we return to Maui. I surprised my wife with a ten day vacation to Maui where her three best friends were awaiting her. The Hale Hibiscus was our 'base of operations' for all things Maui. The home is as advertised and more, with an ocean view, a deck that seats at least four people for lovely sunsets. It is within 'healthy' walking distance of the Old Lahaina Luau (for us anyway). The home is owned by a lovely artist, and it's clear she put a lot into it. Having rented more than 25 homes (apartments/houses/and one cave on Santorini) in the past two years in various places around the world, we really felt at home here and we'll be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: I am an artist and I have been in love with paint and the ocean my whole life! My love of the ocean and the tropics drew me to Maui. The colors of the islands are inspiration for my art. Deciding to have my home as a vacation rental was a perfect way share all that I love about the island of Maui.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
Lahaina on the west side of the island is close to everything that Maui has to offer. My home is private yet is minutes away from all the activities and amenities of the island. The neighborhood is a wonderful example of real Hawaii!!!

Our home is private and gives you the feel of being home in paradise. Special amenities include outside rinse off shower, beach toys and chairs, boogie boards, snorkles, and much more. The home is a short walk to a great snorkeling and swimming beach and a short walk or drive to Historic Lahaina Town with shops, restaurants and Lahaina Harbor.
