  "Mum's Place" is a true gem. The pictures posted do not do it justice. Big and airy, great location, sunny front and back yards, a private and quiet environment. We enjoyed every day of our two month stay.The house is very comfortable, clean, and extremely well stocked for everyday living. The only thing you need to pack is clothes. Not only is Monterey Bay within walking distance, but so is Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, movies,resturants, shops, etc. Thanks Wendy, we hope to return.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners.

  We stayed in the house over Thanksgiving and had a great time. The house is very cozy and very well taken care of. The owner is very friendly and took care of all our requests very quickly. The house is larger that we though it would be - there is an extra den/room and a large living room with a fireplace. The house is conveniently located close to Trader Joe and downtown, and a short drive away from the aquarium. Our vacation was very relaxing and convenient, and kids loved the house, too. We would rent it again!

  6 of us friends came for a tennis tournament at Spanish Bay. We won, lost, won the three matches we played but we all had a perfect weekend and this home was the perfect place for us! We definitely will come back and call you, Wendy! We had more room to spare and the location is so close to so many places. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!!!

  We had a great stay at this charming house. Very comfortable, great kitchen & nice sunny patio in back for lunch or dinner. Quiet neighborhood, close walking distance to town. Owner is very sweet and helpful.

  We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It is a beautiful house in a very quiet area. We will definitely visit again.

  We were the first renters of this property and it worked out perfectly for us. The house was walking distance to downtown and a short drive to the Aquarium and Cannery Row. Our entire family enjoyed this home and the personal touches from the owners to make sure our stay was comfortable. They even provided toys and books for our toddlers that entertained them for hours. Even our dog had a wonderful time.

  This is a delightful house, well appointed, lovely garden, filled with roses. I could sit for hours in the garden. It is close to almost everything on the Peninsula and only an hour from San Jose. It is just a short trek to the Monterey Aquarium, and Fisherman’s Wharf. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. It is a very reasonable price. We recommend it highly.

It's a great value, tastefully appointed, calming, comfortable and minutes to Asilomar, 17 Mile Drive, Cannery Row, Whole Foods and two Trader Joe's. Everything I needed for a relaxing respite is was there - they've thought of everything with love and care." Marianne G.
