My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this house for a weekend with our two dogs and loved it. We wanted a nice place to stay that was close to Table Rock State Park and that is exactly what we got! The house had everything we needed for our stay and we were able to cook dinner for both nights we stayed, which is a plus as there's no close restaurant near by. The owner was very helpful and informative and also very accommodating when I needed to change our dates. Great place to rent and I would definitely stay again when visiting Table Rock!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The description of the property is accurate. This cottage is tucked away in a nice little serene area. Perfect for traveling any direction and to explore many things in the outdoors.... Great for riding bicycles, hiking, waterfall viewing, kayaking or just a day of rest. All of which we did while here. We did replace the oven mitt (noticed from another review none was there) but other than that, it was just as advertised. Wifi worked perfectly & we had limited cell phone (Verizon) coverage (a plus for this trip) The only suggestion I would make is to clean the slippery mildew from the back porch or put better traction padding as both me and my husband slipped while grilling outside. Caught us both off guard but thankfully not hurt other than our pride.....Guess that may be why the yellow tape is on the ramp to warn you! Robyn did greet us upon arriving. We were a little early and she said she still had to get us laundry detergent & toilet tissue. This was very nice I thought. We thanked her but had already got our own at the local Ingles. She is very friendly and helpful in giving information for the area!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, sightseeing.

My husband and I picked up our Grandchildren (6yrs old and 17 mos.) in Simpsonville and headed on up to your Charming Mountain Cottage. The house was great. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, plenty of channels on the TV's for all, wifi so my husband could keep up with his work-- (big plus in our situation), and a little brown bunny that visited on several mornings was very exciting for the kids. Close to lots of waterfalls and parks that we went hiking, swimming and on picnics almost everyday! And having the beautiful golf course right there so close my husband got to play a round one morning before heading out on our daily adventures. Oh, also want to mention the wonderful firework show that the Pumkintown fire department put on for the 4th of July. Very friendly folks everywhere we went. Had a super time and will definitely be coming back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owners were great to work with and everything was just as advertised and more. I was pleasantly surprised to easily find the house and when I drove into the yard, there were rabbits everywhere. That was the 'nature' of things to come. The house was very clean and neat and had almost everything in the kitchen that I needed, with the exception of my steak! If you are planning on cooking while here, don't obsess on bringing all the little things as the owners own a restaurant and have thought that one out. Since I was primarily studying an online course, the High Speed internet was a great help. Direct TV took over when I got tired of studying. The Cottage is located in a very private setting with houses around, but I never saw one person during my stay. The screened back porch was great to sit on and just contemplate nature. Highlands/Brevard/Cashiers were on my list of places to see while on this trip and they were not a long drive either. Don't miss Sassafras Mountain either. Have no problem recommending Chris and his wife as host for your 'Upstate Stay'.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks don. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

About the owner: I am a father and husband to three wonderful girls and a lovely wife. My wife and I run a restaurant and catering company in the South Carolina Midlands.
Why the Owner Chose Table Rock:
We purchased this Mountain Cottage because of our fondness for this absolutely beautiful part of the State and enjoying the outdoors of the Blue Ridge Foothills. Our family is very active and this unique location affords us access to an endless array of activities.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Our visits to the 'Mountain House' include cycling, hiking to nearby waterfalls, entertaining, and visiting local towns/villages. Our daughters enjoy rocksliding, hiking, and horseback riding. There is a riding stable almost at the end of the driveway! Among these activities our guests also enjoy Clemson athletic events, golf, and boating.
